What's the closest focus distance for each?
when you are talking about the differences you correctly said one can do h265 and the other h264 but both your labels said h265.

Great video! Does the USB-C to 3.5 microphone adapter from the One R work with the X2? There's a new one for the X2 (including a charging port) but it's not available yet here and the smaller form factor of that of the One R might also be a plus if you don't need the charging feature.

I am an actor and often do chat to camera monologues and want to place my 360 camera on top of my normal DSLR but don’t want my DSLR (with tripod) in shot. Any recommended camera setups you can advise me? Worst scenario I will have my DSLR with tripod in shot but would be really cool to ensure ALL is invisible.

One tip: Use different lights when filming yourself inside. This reduces the banding effect. Gerald Undone released a nice video on brands & tips on lighting recently.
All he needs to do is drop or increase shutter speed by one stop or two.
Hi! I'm planning to get a pocket cam and I'm torn between insta360 one R and one X2. I do not currently own any action cams and the one R's modular design is tempting. However, it appears that the X2 is more durable since it comes in one piece. Given that I'm not sure when and if I will be able to buy the 1-inch sensor lens for the One R, would you think going for the X2 is better than going for the One R (twin edition)? Is the One R's 4k lens a lot better than the 360 lenses given that you can use the X2 as a normal front facing cam?

You mixed up the specs at 7:23 between the one x and x 2 - Its seems the x2 is on the left? you put h.265 for both, then put only 360 on the x2? and put steady cam on the x ?

The R accepts external microphones. The X2 connects to AirPods. These are the most important points for me. I can use a wireless mic on the R and still have an invisible selfie stick

can the Insta360 One R also shoot non 360 video (steadycam mode) if it is using the 3D lens? Or can it only shoot non 360 video if the 360 lens is swapped out for the normal action camera lens?

Thanks! Question: if you use the one X 2 in steady cam with an invisible selfie stick.... how can you point the camera towards your face in an angle with the stick? It seems not be bendable?
It can't be bendable becuase it can only be "invisible" when it's at the stitching edge where the images overlap

My Insta360 oneR will be delivered soon. It includes a free selfie stick too. For bullet time shots, Do I have to buy the bullet handle only?. The insta360 selfie stick and the stick (which we get in bullet time bundle pack) same? . Are they same?. Please let me know.
as it is the same hardware (onex also has a f.2.0 lens) , the difference in video quality between the one x and x2 is not just a boost in saturation and sharpening ? cant it be matched in post ?

I want to get a 360 camera for wingsuiting (to replace my hero 7 black). However, I am a bit concerned as I am quite tall and I often bump my hero 7 off the ceiling of the plane (tiny, crap planes!). The x2 is taller than my GoPro, so I'm concerned about knocking it. Does anyone know how durable it is? And how durable the helmet mount for it is? I can't even actually find pictures of the helmet mount (I assume there is one) so I can't see for myself. I really want the x2 but maybe I should go for the one R, as it is a similar form factor to my GoPro, therefore I assume it will be of similar durability ..
Why shoot the X2 in a different view-width than the R?
I am a little bit sad that they didn't increase the resolution to 6 or 7k but I think I will buy the one x2 when I find a better deal (aliexpress or black Friday) Btw great video 👍👍👍
I used to have the One X and now the One R and I think this One X2 is fantastic but I will wait for the next upgrade that improves resolution even if it is just a bit-8K would be great but ONLY if the footage can still be edited with an app on my iphone and the camera does't overheat etc...the app on my iphone 11 is fantastic and a lot of fun! I can't wait to try the new shadow clone on my one R! I confess that youtube compresses videos so much that evaluating video quality is hard but on this video the One X2 looks sharper and has deeper colours but this may be just in camera oversharpening and more saturation-not sure that is better...I prefer the One R. I can always tweak it in premiere with lumetri color. I may or may not get the 1inch mode-not sure. I have a Sony RX100 IV that has a 1inch sensor and it gives great footage. I can't wait to see what Insta 360 brings to the 360 world...great video. Fantastic comparison.Thanks

The best feature of this toys is the Log File mode! Then u can grade the footage on DaVinci with VR plugging.

Newbie 360 here. Was gonna get the one R a few weeks ago then X2 came out. I thought.... as if that is going to be better than one R. Yep it is. Key concept, X2 is a specialist 360 camera only and the best of the bunch.

Thanks for your reviewing! I don't think one x2 is better. it's just more put over sharpening images which is so cheap digital camera look to me.
One good thing with one r is that if the lens breaks you can just buy lens module whilst with x2 you have to buy the whole camera.
There was flickering issue in this video.
The new firmware for One X would certainly improve the image quality, but we won't see it.
I noticed this is mainly thing asian companies do. they differentiate products so newer to be better by even tweaking older models to be visibly worse in order to drive sales. of course one x 1st version would look better and more similar to x2, if they make the footage more contrasty and saturated... very simple tweak, but of course they won’t do it they want one x owners to upgrade
9:36 if I were to shoot video with the 1inch mod, and not doing much action. Just normal city walk, beach walking, casual hiking, and viewing. Wouldn't Smartphone like iPhone 12 Pro Max have better quality? Or Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra?
