I've been wanting to see a Kroxigor as a Tau Auxiliary unit of some kind. Maybe wielding a portable version of the railguns used on their Battlesuits like a bolt-action rifle.
If I followed the same design premise as I did here then they'd definitely be the heavy weapons guys. You could some seriously big guns on those!
Maybe they're close enough in size to Crisis Suits to be substituted...? Or maybe Stealth Suits...?
sneaky!@@blackdragonxtra
GW could almost do them as Loxatl tbh
@@PeteTheWargamercan you create the Eldar Exodites?
I genuinely wish this was a faction, great job as always!
The Scalies used to be a thing though they were just a bunch of underhive mutant lizardmen.
Thank you!
For real. It's so cool
One page rules has a sci-fi saurian list!
@@PeteTheWargamerThey look kind of like the Space Pirates from Metroid Prime!
If feels like your almost building a rag tag crew of xenos, would love to see them all together!
Haha, yeh it does feel that way.
Xenos mercenary killteam?
Xenos mercenary killteaam using the Kroot rules?
If you get them a flechette gatling gun they could totally be like the Loxatl mercenaires from the Gaunt's ghosts novels!
Man those guys were awesome in the book despite almost killing my fav characters
@@wizardofdoge2503 but not worse than Lijah fething Cuu!
@@zogwort1522eh, close enough
love this , PLEASE continue the series, maybe tau rebel forces or more AOS conversions. maybe some 40k-chaos-flesh eater courts with a scifi necromancer, or some ork tryanid GSC hybrids
A cool idea I saw was the edition of kroot heads to the crypt ghouls.
If you make more of this faction -and please do- keep the cybernetic components a thing. The idea that every soldier is a result of masterful genetic and cybernetic workmanship is such a cool look and idea!
I always used to find it odd that 40K seemed to be fantasy in space (or at least humans, orks, elves and demons) but not featuring all of the fantasy races (dwarves, skaven, lizardmen etc.) Leagues of Votann were a welcome addition. And I like that beastmen have arrived in the 41st millennium too thanks to Black Stone Fortress and Kill Team. But Lizardmen are the ones I always thought worked best as a 40K faction. This was a nice conversion and I think that if GW has any sense, they will properly consider something similar for their own range.
Originally, the Tyranids were described as being saurian in appearance, and the designers have veered between reptilian and insectile quite regularly
something i wish you would do is kitbash a Sons of Malice Chaos Warband member or aspiring champion. anyway, love this kitbash and always love seeing your creations! amazing job!
It'd be great to see your take on Vespid. I'd definitely be happy having a squad of these reinforcing some Tau though. Great job as always!
Vespid are in serious need of new models. I'd love to see some more Tau empire races added.
A cyborg lizard auxilliary? Reminds me of the old 'Tarellian Dog-Soldiers' xenos from 3rd edition!
This might be my favourite thing you've ever done, amazing work!
I'd love to see you do a Rak'gol conversion!
Fantastic kitbash! He's would work great with OnePageRules Star Saurian faction too 🤘
Beautiful model as always. Great watch.
A suggestion and kitbash project is your own take on Fellgor Ravagers aka Space Beastmen. The new sculps for the KT were not toooooo bad, but I'd love to see someone really go wild with them.
Or Space Dryads. I will also appreciate Space Dryads.
Well now I'm just glad there's no official space-lizards faction in 40k, or else I'd have another army sat in my pile of grey shame. Fantastic work, as always!
Love this conversion! Simple yet very effective. I think I would have added a helmet or some head alterations of some type to help distinguish it more from the Seraphon. Seeing this and your previous Skavian conversion really has me hoping the next faction for 40k is a wacky xenos race of lizards or rats. I think we all just want an actually fully fledged Kroot army though if we got anything resemembling a lizard race. It would be cool to see Skaven simply get transfered over from Aos as a Chaos nurgle faction. I think its about time GW gave the spotlight to the other entities and races within the warp. Also love your use of Dreadful Visage. Its such an underrated skin glazing paint that i dont feel gets talked about enough. I use it on my Votann for their skin very subtle
This feels like something genuine and should absolutely be a fully fledged available GW army ❤️🥰
You should try making a true scale tyberos.
I've been asking for it for 68 days now, join me brother.
I love when a Kitbash looks like it came from a dedicated model kit. Two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼
This looks so much like the new Gorn from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
A bionic eye and some red-sore skin around the grafting points for the metal hands would seal the deal for me :)
Would 100% love to see more Space Lizards getting made. 😊
Here's a idea for a challenge: An Isha corrupted Death Guard. I'm imagining a plague marine wrapped in roots and covered in moss and bark. Sort of a reverse Nurgle army. Extremely difficult but could be cool.
The way you incorporated so many elements from other factions. As well as the fact that these are lizardmen. Kinda makes me view them in a similar light to “the Race” from Harry Turtledove’s World War series. They’re not the same thing, but it’s hard for my brain to not make that connection.
If you’re unfamiliar. They’re essentially a species of incredibly violent lizard people who have an extremely slow rate of technological development. And who lack FTL travel. Their tech is implied to be mostly stolen and scavenged from species they’d conquered before.
Also the book they come from is literally just, what if Aliens invaded just a few days before D-day was about to occur?
Yeah I remember reading one of those books and could never for the life of me remember the title It jumps from various protagonists in different countries huh If I remember right there a Japanese Doctor doing experiments and a German Tank crewman Was pretty interesting
Beautiful. Now if you can do your next faction without using ANY GW models. Then we might be on to something. A project I'm planning is the "scaven" imperial guard. Those little heads will look great on some 3rd party storm trooper figs.
I love this, only thing I'd add is like a robotic right eye or something - something to break up plain the "lizardman" head.
Not that I have the skill to do any of this!
This is an amazing idea, can't wait to make some Votann-allied space lizards of my own
I first came across your channel when I came back to the hobby many years ago after purchasing Silver Tower and a Flames Of War starter set. Your tutorial videos have always been clear, concise and easy to follow. Your build and painting standard has always been very high. Now I am starting my own channel with a focus on budget diy hints, tips and tutorials. I never tire of watching your channel, even though your focus is on kitbashing now I still find it informative and entertaining. You’ve done a great job.
Amazing! I was asking about this exact thing in one of your streams a few weeks ago, so I'm super happy to see it done!
Awesome video well done with how it came out, love the paint job.
THANK YOU!!
so many space lizard conversions out there don't go all the way and they still look very aztec, yours is just perfect
really great concept and conversion!
Would love to see a Space Skaven Warlord done by you one day, keep up the amazing work.
Amazing video! Especially how to took on the harness, so impressive!
the paintjob on this is stunning
He's so cool! Looks like a classic bad guy from a 90's kids show! :D
The ultimate dream faction!
Oh boy, Seraphon in space? My favorite!!
Pete’s great voice is so soothing and now I watch his videos while winding down for the day. It’s like my meditation, but I get to see a mini painted / converted at the end.
😮😮😮 totally making atleast one of these. Soooo awesome!

Look in rogue trader
you mentioned that this is a continuation of a race/civilization you've made. What are the previous videos you've worked on the race/civilization?
This is my favorite kit bash you have done
Reminds me of an alien you would see as part of the Covenant in Halo. Turned out really great.
I put a catachan head with a bandana on a space marine body, put an orc chainsaw as a bayonet on the bolt gun an made my own Marcus fenix from gears of war 👌🏻 still got him after 13 years 😂 new subscriber btw love some kit bashing!
Thats a Thulg from the pre-40k game Laserburn
I love your videos so much, fantastic work! To push this guy even further I would have clipped away the spikes on top of his head crest to change his silhouette even more and maybe clipped away the top of his face and added some mechanical/bionic bits to make him look weirder and more alien
brilliant idea. fab paint job too!
I love the concept, the kitbash was ace... but your paint scheme just ended up feeling like "GSC but lizard and tech" to me. You still pulled it off with a height of skill I can only dream of, but the end result just feels off to me. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
That's bloody awesome Pete 👍👍
Superb work. I hope you do more of this faction :D
I hope GW expands and refreshes the Tau auxiliary models.
I always wanted a model like this in their army. Plus the Tau are meant to have multiple races living within it so it be cool for that to be shown off more
Looks like an advanced tyranid like species with that paint scheme looking dope though
Literally so relaxing to watch these videos. I need a recording of Pete talking about minis to fall asleep to.
I can see these xenos as a highly intelligent scavenger species are "allied" with the Tau. (I.e. they work together from time to time, but aren't an auxiliary race).
Cheers Pete. You inspired me to pick my crafting knife back up and get converting again.
It's funny, I was looking at the OPR factions a couple weeks ago and noticed there's a SciFi Lizardmen faction, and was just saying to a friend it would be a great conversion project!
I love this kitbash! I will be sticking with One Page Rules as they already have this faction and models to match. Great job though, love it.
ok
love your sense of imagination, keep up good work!!
Whoo-hoo! Another PtW video! I have to check my settings, seems it's been awhile since your last one.
That turned out awesome! Now I have to go find your skaven one! :)
I added Saurus and Skaven to my IG unit a few years back using the Blood Bowl teams and IG parts. I have a lot of abhuman squads with Victoria Miniatures "commisar" models leading the teams. Their history is that a bunch of systems in the Halo Stars banded together and being so far out, their outlook on abhumans isn't as bad as normal humanity's.
I've always wanted to see someone have the Lizardmen and Tau team up.
this is awesome! Ive been planning on making custom kitbashes for fun with lizardmen into warhammer 40k, since they are my favorite warhammer faction between both universes.
It would be cool to see you expand this with a couple of different purpose units. Not just a basic infantry man. A kits bashed power armor guy for example would be amazing
If you're looking for another forgotten race to convert, what about the Slaughth from Dark Heresy? It'd be neat to see an Overseer and some Mind Slaves.
This just makes me want Old Ones/Slanni to come back as a faction even more. Love this.
I have been working on my first fully primaris SM chapter. I have been struggling for years with a theme and name but finally settled on one. This video definitely helps a lot, and I have been sharing it with my friends.
Ive commented this before im sure but i would love to see you tackle some necromunda conversions. Chaos or gsc corrupted gangers or chaos god specific hired guns, familiars, theres alot of rules for characters and such in necromunda that dont have minis or even pictures of the weapons there's rules for feel like if theres anyone who id like to see tackle this its Pete.
I believe if you used a head similar to those of the new Kroxigor it would have the desired effect of making the mini look apart from the Seraphon
Best you've done! Love it!
I would love to see a Kroxigor broadsider battlesuit kitbash. That would be awesome 🤘
Very noice. Now I'm remembering an idea i had ages ago of non dark eldar aligned Sslyth (four armed snake xenos), if I remember correctly their lore said they were mercenaries who commonly worked for the dark eldar and by extension used their tech, so those who didn't work for them could have very different gear...I'm now thinking they could make a good auxilary for the Tau though that would mean a lot of sculpting to remove the dark eldar armour aesthetic
Using seraphon as kroot bases could be alot of fun
Such awesome kitbashes
I love it !!!! I dont know why but it makes me think of some kind of genestealer kroot cult
It seems that it belonged to a race similar to the predator. How wonderful
Awesome kitbash, fully playable in One Page Rules Grimdark Future
I'm not a big fan of painting, but wow what an imagination, super cool!
Would you consider converting some of the lizardmen's mounts too? Just think about it, a big ol carnosaur with a head mounted lazer, what could be cooler!? If their mounts were engineered too, there's lots of room to play, though somewhat at the risk of starting to look like a tyranid, they're already pretty space dinosaur-y. Maybe that could be on purpose, captured tyranids severed from their hive mind might be tameable - even domesticatable, they are bred to be good at following orders after all.
sweet glad you tackled this one.
This might just be your best work ever!
Wow this looks absolutely insane
The design here makes me think a 40k-ified Triceraton from Ninja Turtles (compliment)
That is perfect, so cool
I hear Space Lizard, and I immediately thought about Zorgons from Zathura.
Now I wanna look up kits to make Zorgons.
This guy demands an entire Killteam to go along with him.
I love the fact you reference the Tau Empire. I love the idea of a federation/ empire of allied xenos species who work together but find the Tau Empire to be lacking when they only have Tau, Kroot and Vespids. So here is my suggestion for new xenos kitbash. A new addition to the Tau Empire. Something that feels like it could be allied, with a common symbology, equipment or style, but very very different racially. The ideas that I always had for a new Xenos race stem from 3 things I think Tau lack (at least when it comes to their infantry.) Feel free to use these ideas on a future video. 1) a swordman race. Tau need melee. The idea I get, is a little bit Shrek inspired, but I imagine a feline race, with a mixture of Samurai and Tau aesthetics, who wield swords.
2) Heavy weapons infantry. I imagine a brute like creature, filling a void similar to Ogryns for the Imperial Guard. Armed with huge missile launchers or cannons. Perfect for dealing with enemy armour.
3) Snipers. The Sniper Drones in the tau army just don't do it for me. Maybe a race of creatures who are hunters, trained to track their prey and shoot them with precision. Turned soldiers when the Tau came to their homeworld and offered an alliance.
I've got pictures on my computer of an excellent lizard race kit bash I saw online sadly I don't know the name of the creator but he used parts of imperial, kroot, tau, eldar and ork and they are simply amazing!
Thanks for the idea for a damn fine kill team.
Great vid and mini! Just had a blast from the past when I saw the dark grey and glowing orange! You should convert some guard to look like the troopers from the old PlayStation game KILL ZONE, that would be ace! Keep up the good work
This is so badass!
I love this so much! I would definitely play this as a faction on the tabletop.
One Page Rules has a space lizardman faction! Plus the rules are free 🙂
Hey Pete hope you’re doing a little better this week! This is an awesome kitbash!
This is badass. I'd love a cyberlizard faction in 40k
What a great result!
This is a really cool model with an amazing paint job. I love to see a unit of these. Would you make a few more these, please, as I would like to see if you can make different poses using the chosen kits to make them.
So cool! I want to see an army!
This is truly an amazing model, now i actually want a space lizard race for 40K
The color scheme is amazing!
I would love to see you make some Exodites using some Lizardmen.
Ahh this is too cool! It would be so great if you did more units for your now 2 Xenos races 🤩
must admit ive been thinking of doing beastman, ratmen and lizardmen as an army that i can use as Tau Auxiliaries and/or rouge imp guard
This was a great video. I’ve wanted to use Lizardmen to make a branch of Tau Auxiliaries for a while and this is a great inspiration
