This was the best scene in the movie (for me). Very intimate scene. At this point you don't even know how many times the main character has died and how many scenarios he's seen by then.
But he knew almost everything about her. Her chosen paths. Her concealed injuries. Even the number of lumps of sugars she loves in coffee.

I feel like most of the people here missed the fact that she still started the chopper despite his instructions because she realized that Cage was growing attached to her and knew what he is trying to do ( which is save her). She probably did this with her past lover which is why she urged him to just go kill the Omega by jumping into the heli that spells out her death.
Also that look of realization as she realizes that Cage had been there plenty of times lol.

Bear with me a moment why I try to articulate a thought about this scene. I'm sure others have thought of this. But it just dawned on me what Rita must have been thinking when she realized Cage was trying to save her. She did the same thing with her former lover and now realizing Cage is doing the same thing is compelling. In a brief moment she pushes Cage forward with inner strength knowing she'll die but the mission must move on from this moment of time. Think I'll watch it again. Been awhile. Saw it in a theater first and couldn't wait for it to come out. Great movie.
