IMPORTANT UPDATE: My Go:Mixer Pro died after only a few months of occasional use. First the USB port got loose, which led to more and more connection drop outs during recording. The knobs got really wobbly after relatively easy use too. Eventually the phantom power of the mic input stopped working, which made the mixer useless. So from today’s perspective, I would not recommend this anymore.
My Go Mixer leaves the audio cutting a lot. The device is compatible and I have already made many tes. Audio cuts into the Camcorder app and online streaming Apps. Do you have any idea what it might be?
This is about the Go:Livecast Pro : so, honestly I did not go through the comments, if anybody mentioned this, I'm sorry to bring it up again...but a worldwide known company like Roland, coming out with a product, that has a mono (!!!) output in 2019 is just beyond unimaginable and bad in every way possible...was really excited to get this and i have been using since may (not been able to work cause of covid and my friend actually bought it for me for a hefty $250). I am still speechless, how can they do such a mistake! Now I am stuck with this and even tho I like the video features, (main stream is with iPhoneX and additional satellite cam is with iPad5thgen and thats cool) Roland is a music equipment company for the most part so I am just total clueless, why...anybody had anything to say about this?
Is it possible to get the output from my sound card ??? If I want to go for Facebook live is it possible to get the balanced sound from my daw through sound card
Good review. One mistake: The unit can be powered with the batteries (not just the Phantom power). And that's a big deal for me (for use with a camcorder).
@@XanderEwald can you please help me? I'm looking for a lavalier mic to use for interviews. Which one are you using? (I'm a bit confused about the format plugs of the various mics (mono, dual mono, mini trs etc.) I bought the little Roland because of your review. Did one interview with dynamic mic and 2 mixer inputs. Works fine! Thank you!
I don’t use a lav mic at this point, I switched to a MKH 416. Before that I used a Rode Lav Mic. It wasn’t sensational, but did the job. If I had to pick a new lav today, I would probably go for a Sanken COS-11 or something from Sennheiser for better sound quality.
Hi, i tried to go in live streaming with this device on Facebook and the sound was still from the iPhone mic. I need to do some setup in the FB app? Thanks 😉
Good review, Dacci. It's nice to see an audio interface like this for Android. I've been using the Zoom H6 with my iPhone, but didn't really have an idea of what to use with my BlackBerry which is Android. This'll probably do. One question, which mic and camera do you use for making your videos?
I tried using my Zoom H4N Pro with my iPhone, but couldn’t get it working so far. I use a Canon G7X Mk2, iPhone 8 and Rode Lav+ mic at the moment, but was thinking to upgrade to a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 and Rode NTG-2 soon. Sound is still not satisfying.
I tried one yesterday. I found the XLR input was way too hot and could've used a pad. Guitar input was noisy (slight hum) with my acoustic. The pots on the unit felt flimsy and loose. All in all not a good experience. I sent it back.
Yes, I was unsatisfied with it too after some use. As stated in the pinned comment, it broke down after some months and customer support was not satisfactory either.
Hey Bro, im looking to buy the Go Mixer Pro only to record my electric guitar sound for my videos on my Samsung, bro is it possible to monitor the sound with headphones plugged into the Go Mixer Pro with NO latency/Delay as I will be using the the Rec Out/Headphones jack to plug the amp into the device which will mute my amp. Im not a fan at all of recording guitar whilst just listening to the acoustics as the amp mutes.
Just bought this one but I'm a bit disappointed,I am a piano player and love to play Dynamics with the piano, this hardware won't let me do this, even on the slighest press on the keys,it will give you a loud sound,no idea if it's the hardware or the go camcorder software.
Has anyone tried this with a Samsung Note 10+? I have been looking for something to run my Behringer XR18 mixers audio out direct into my Note 10+. I would like to be able to record video of my studio sessions, and also stream live on Facebook. Mind you, not at the same time. I'm having a difficult time finding info on interfaces for the Note 10 which only has USBc. No headphone jack. The only thing that has been recommended thus far is the iRig Duo Pro. It's a bit more expensive than this one from Roland. Thanks in advance for any input.
So I can connect a mixer (of any kind) to this Roland Go Mixer Pro, and then connect a condenser mic to the mixer in order to send my singing voice from the mixer to the phone through Roland..., can't I? Anybody? Please confirm! Thanks!!!
Ken Nguyễn You can connect a condenser mix directly to the Roland Go Mixer Pro, it has a preamp with phantom power built in. The audio quality is not outrageous, but somewhat decent for a mobile device.
@@XanderEwald Hi Dacci! I mean: Can I make the audio quality better by connecting the mic to the mixer which is connected to the Roland Go Mixer Pro? Looking forward to your reply!
Possibly. If the preamp of the mixer you connect is of decent sound quality and delivers a loud output signal, you would need less amplification on the Roland interface, which could result in a better signal to noise ration and overall sound quality. You’d have to test it yourself to be sure though.

Oh I just want to buy it! What are you recommend now for android user?
Didn’t test it, but IK Multimedia has some stuff worth a look I’d say.
Yes! I honestly needed one of these for beatmaking live streams. My only question is does it support usb-c? (Being that I have a Google Pixel)
According to Roland, it should be possible. I can not confirm though as I don't own any mobile devices with USB-C connectors.
It does. I just got it with my Note 8
has anyone had success with it's android compatibility? i've heard mixed reviews and just ordered one. I have a google pixel 2

Do you mean your audio has drop-outs? That should definitely not be the case. Have you reached out to Roland customer support yet?

I have a Samson G Track Pro mic - how do I connect to this?
Nice one!
Thanks, much appreciated!
Hi sir,i just want to ask how to put reverb on this? Thank you in advance ♥️
There is no reverb built in, so you would need to use a DAW with a reverb effect plugin (desktop) or an app if your on mobile.
Great review! Can I connect Blue Yeti to Go mixer pro? What other accessories are needed? Many thanks!
Can’t say for sure, I never used a Yeti mic before.

I have never used the Facebook app, so I can’t tell what the problem might be.
Can I connect my keyboard to my kc-220 first then connect the kc-220 to go mixer?
林大鈞 Good question, I don’t know. I will ask Roland.
Then I can have the effects that I want such as the reverb for vocal. Thx bro
Great job! :)
Thanks, glad you like it!
is this device has an ECHO or REVERB effect?
Neither, it's an audio interface for mobile devices such as phones or tablets.
Can it be connected to an speaker in the out put line to perform ??
I suppose so, it does have a 1/4 inch trs jack.

What apps work with this? Is there one where I can record several tracks with it (like garage band?)
I am not too familiar with iOS software, sorry. But I assume there should be apps for this task out there.

I can not recommend Roland Go Mixer anymore, it failed miserably on me. Get something from IK Multimedia instead for mobil audio.
Will this work with Periscope, Live streaming for Audio?
I don't know, but I will try tomorrow.

Can I plug my Roland module TD-17 ?
If it provides a line level output signal, it should be possible.
