I swear by this channel and I've made so many things from here that are amazing and require no doctoring, but this recipe was the first time I felt the flavor was a little thin, even allowing for salt to taste! Particularly in the broth, I'm used to stew broth tasting very savory and meaty, but for some reason when I followed the recipe mine had a very thin herby flavor. I added some beef bouillon to mine about three quarters of the way through and some salt and it finally got to that savory meaty flavor that I was looking for. Turned out great! Thanks so much! Love the channel!

...I like large pieces of vegetables...onion, potato, carrot & celery...adding barley is like a beef/barley soup...I coat my beef with a flour/spices mix - thickens the broth nicely...
Barley has been my go-to from learning family recipes from my grandmother (from her grandmother, & so on . . . ) and it always seems the ultimate for winter meals. But this just put everything together!
I'm so glad I go back and make sure I didn't miss anything because I almost missed delicious looking recipe! With soup and stew season approaching, this is a must do 😋!! Thanks 👍🏾!!
