Hey. Take a lefthand and a righthand polarization omniantennas in a reflective environment and use them on both of the ports on the RapidFire. You will now receive the multipath signals also, and see if the signal gets better.
It's great! Pre-order in Feb to save $10, it's supposed to be released in May... or June, or July, or August. Still haven't gotten mine. Oh and be sure to check the compatibility list which is supposed to be frequently updated... 10 cameras and 1 flight controller. That's comprehensive.
If it would only work with all cameras on market.. The rapid fire has so many issues ( going black on you, bad range, performance) the software is not good enough as well as the product to be even released, just check the list on not supported cameras in their page.. Still growing.. Trud gives same performance for half price
Matěj Bludský my true d doesn't even come close to my rapidfire especially at races. Can it be better yes, but for 50 dollars more then most it is the best and im pretty stoked on it.
Drew Hampton I saw many reviews and videos of racing situations.. It performed poorly in my opinion.. But again.. If you like it, good for you. I am not going to spend money on this at least till the time they fix it in a way, so it is compatible with everything
Even in legacy mode to get around the compatibility issues, it's still performs better than any other receiver I've used (except ClearView). I have many quads and only one has required me to use Legacy mode.
Laforge V3 & V4 is amazing, Tru D is bleh gave it away, Rapid fire is not a polished product and should not have been released. It should have went through more rigorous testing and R & D before released to the public. Such a shame.
One thing you failed to mention thats one of my main concerns with this module is that there is some VTX's that the Rapidfire is not compatible with? It would be very useful to the community to know which VTX's that doesnt work on the RapidFire. And again this is something that Rapid Fire may have corrected with new firmware update? So please correct me if they have fixed this?..Thanks for the review on this!😊 Im hoping to find something that works better than my old V3 LaForge 😎
@@FlightClubFPV No worries my friend it happens a lot with new products thats pushed into mainstream fast. Im sure its a great module and works well with a lot of VTX's. I have heard but cant confirm myself. That legacy mode works well with most VTX's. And works really well with IRC Tramp and TBS unify pro and some of the premium brands VTX's. And the Rapid fire is definitely a step forward in technology in our hobby for sure! So im not bitching to much..lol..I think if one can afford a Rapid Fire module ? You can probably afford the premium brands to go with it. Just need a little more transparency from these big companies from the beginning of what one will be needing to buy in order for everything work seamlessly. Like HDO goggles and premium brand vtx's etc...😉 Keep up the good work my friend...love the products and reviews
Aren't you supposed to connected your 2 antennas BEFORE you turn rapidfire module on from your fatshark goggle??? I heard somebody told me that we are NOT supposed to turn the rapidfire module turn on WITHOUT antennas on, cuz it will cause more snow static and the view will not be clearer like I saw your video with your friend's Trudy module. I can see your rapidfire module got bad snow static, it's all cuz of you turned your fatshark goggle on, the rapidfire module turned on without antennas. I would never do that to my own rapidfire module that I just got HDO2 with rapidfire module and I did not need ribbon cable, mine did not need it. My view footage came out very clearly! Very very little bit of snow static which is normal. I'm VERY VERY HAPPY with my HDO2 with rapidfire module, it's the BESTEST of the BEST module and goggle, EVER!!!! I used to have boxy goggle called UFOFPV goggle. But they don't make it no more. I used it for 5 years, and it was time to get new goggle and I bought HDO2 with rapidfire module, the BESTEST of the BEST decision I made to get this fatshark HDO2 goggle and rapidfire module!! Everyone talks about these hyped up pricey products. I recommend picking up the eachine pro58 or realacc and putting Achilles on it. It's just as good if not better for a fraction of the cost.

What flight controller? What 10 cameras? There's a good chance I have at least 5 of those cameras and I've had no problems.

There is 1 camera on there that is incompatible, the foxeer micro swift, two if you count the micro swift pro as a different camera.

yup! it's designed to work out of the box with the HDO with no mods needed.

open the googles and loose the guarantee? i go for "Realacc RX5808-PRO-PLUS-OSD" only 50 and no mod need and work with all cameras.
Depends where you live, but in the states those stickers are meaningless. That's not to say that a manufacturer won't try to enforce it illegally.
