Are you flying mode 1 with a ntsc cam or pal? All my cams are set to pal and mode 1 is dark but less static... mode 2 is brighter but alittle more static... is it dependant on ntsc or pal?
@@Jackal_FPV ahhhh seems its not dependent on pal or ntsc then. Im wondering what spec is needed to fly mode 1 on the cam. I have micro predator v2 and swift 2 and they all need to be flown mode for brighter image. Im assuming my falkor mini will work in mode 1 since its a new camera.
Happen to know of a site selling the second batch for sure? I contacted ImmersionRC to ask about the camera/OSD selectivity. I wanted to see if it was fixed with an update they pushed, or if it really was exclusive to the batch 1 hardware. Haven't heard back just yet.
I just got my first non box type goggles the dom v3 and rapid fire I paired it to my Moskito 70 and wow I get no break up at all with stock fs antenna and tbs Omni thank you for the info and awesome flying
Have the true-d and I am scared as well but damn that looked great! Have the HD3 as well. I was mainly scared about power issues and compatibility as I have a lot of quads with different cameras.
I have a quick question I just got my rapid fires in the mail I am extraordinary pleased with the range at has but the image quality really sucks is that normal for these rapid fires
Yeah Caddx Turbo Micro. Not sure about that camera, have you tried another module/goggles and the camera looks better than the RF? Or is it just the camera doesn’t look so hot maybe?
@@Jackal_FPV I put to the test what you said with another camera in the image came in a lot better thanks for the help I guess it's just the Emax product as far as my camera
My rapid fire is fully updated and I haven’t gotten a rolling black out with my eagle cameras but I still get them with the whoop drones like my beta. I believe I have a gen 1 module, I enjoy everything I just wish I could fly it with total piece of mind, without worry of a rolling black out
If whoops is your thing I’d look into the true d. A lot of the cameras on the the whoops are not as regulated as the bigger ones like Runcam/Foxeer and I still can’t use rapid fire the the way it was meant to be used with my whoops. I have to use legacy mode or mode 2. Never had issues with both of my true Ds and any drone.
I felt the same way you did about this module. After watching this video I ordered one. I hope I getthe second batch. I also run the HD3s. Thanks for the awesome video
It does have problems depending on your camera, fc, esc noise etc. I had x4 aio's on 4s and could not get rapidfire to hold lock and had horrible video. I had to use legacy mode in order to fly. I was in the process on switching to 6s and bought all new hardware. Bardwell fc v2, spedix es20, tbs unify nano, r-xsr, caddx f1/f2, foxeer lollipop v2 on x4 quads and have great video now. Mode#2 works better for me. For what it's worth I had confidence in immersion and stuck with it and pretty happy with my 1st batch rapidfire. Did not want to use clearview with a ground station. You can actually hardware mod your batch 1 to batch 2 but heard headphone plugged in create problems. Hard to read the rcgroups thread, it is massive. Oversaturation is in software. I have laforge and rapidfire and love the rapidfire.
Hellmuth siova the bigger field of view means that the sweet spot on the optics is smaller. The HD3 has blurry edges if you don’t get your eyes perfectly aligned with the optics. When the field of view is smaller like V3, there is usually less blur. I’ve used both goggles, v3 is clearer but I prefer the Hd3.
@@Jackal_FPV well that's a smart idea. did you disassemble them to see where you were putting the hole? do you think a soldering iron pointed tip would work just as well? i was also thinking about just using a drill...idk.
Chip Cunningham yeah the solder iron would work. You don’t necessarily need to disassemble the goggle shell to do it, but you can if you’re worried about hitting something when you make the hole. Don’t know about using a drill, seems like you could accidentally damage something that way.
Andrey Dolmatov depends on which part of the video you’re watching. Look in the bottom left of the DVR on the OSD - E:2:3 is 500 mW and E:2:2 is 200 mW.
nice review ill wait till they make it 100 percent without the dam mods should work right out of the box. my tru d works great for now. you should not have to have a cable on the dam thing . why these companies just make products right lol. thanks for the review awesome
The power mod is the fault of the goggles not the module. Goggles that supply the correct 5v to the module work out of the box. I know of 3. Older fat sharks were not designed to supply that power without modifications to hardware. If you want to use this module out of its box its the HDO or HD2 T2, attitude v4 or the DockKing which isnt a goggle, but plugs into goggles.
So I cant get Fatsharkband with this?
Yes, it’s labeled “I” band but it’s the same as “F” band.

I’m pretty sure anywhere you buy it at this point is batch 2. Try the inmersionrc facebook group here: m.facebook.com/groups/205558953557012?ref=share

Nice video!
Is the mod also needed for the attitude v4?
No, just plug the module in and go.
Thanks for the review

Xtreme fpv not really, what camera are you using?

I’ve been sticking with the rapidfire.
Planted one of these in my eachine ev200d, works a treat
where did u get your google foam

Could someone link me to the page that lists problematic cameras? I'm having a hard time finding it. Thanks!

Did you modify the goggles?
Daniel Zhen I only made a little hole inside to pass the ribbon cable.
@@Jackal_FPV how did you make the hole? i'd almost rather do that than the jumper mods.
I agree. I took a small screwdriver and heated it with a lighter then pushed it through.
