    The SKU for the Mobil unit is this: Lamotte #3581 MOBILE WaterLink SPIN TOUCH Lab and it is priced at this publication at $889.00. This of course is not your everyday test kit but great for so many applications. If you service Commercial Accounts this is a great way to keep your logs for the Health Department and Pool Manager. For Resorts, Hotels and Clubs this would be a perfect way to get spot on readings to assure that the Public Pool is safe. And of you are a Health Inspector there is no better water tester than this. Plus it comes with a 2 year warranty.

    Any insight on using this product in 2024 ?? I’ve been interested for 2 years but nervous to buy considering there’s only very few videos and the years are 2 plus years old all the way to 7 years old lol
    Any thought David?

      Still a great choice. Disk should be now readily available. Mine still fires up without issues.

    Thanks for the informative video. I know it’s been three years but I can not find the app for iPhone. The apps I’ve found won’t connect to my phone even after I paid $19.99 per month.

    So I have 107 pools that I do, how expensive would it b to use this on all my pools as far as buying the disc's go?

    • @SPL
      @SPL  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be fine for once a month testing if you price that in. 50 disks will run you $120-$130 so that is $260 for 100 pools. $2.60 per disk.

    Hi David-
    Which disk would you get to test the borate level or would you recommend another testing method?

    • @SPL
      @SPL  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      4330-H Chlorine/Bromine Plus Borate Series Disk. Realistically they are hard to find. So you can also do it mathematically using this site: www.poolcalculator.com/

    So I have a Taylor K-2006 now with fresh reagents. I also have a ColorQ Pro7 that I just received. It is having issues with some of the numbers being way off from my testing as well as the pool store testing. Their customer service is on point and a new one is being sent off. On that note, I also ordered the Waterlink spin touch today as well.
    Have you done a bunch of tests side by side with all 3 to test for accuracy? If so, which was the most accurate?
    Thanks for any info.

    • @SPL
      @SPL  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have done many side by side testing - a guy in my group in Texas did extensive testing with pool store and multiple testing. We have found that most tests line up within the margin of error. The reason the Spin Touch is so accurate is that it eliminates human error, tilting reagent slightly, a drop not being a full drop etc.

      I suggerst the ColrQ Pro 7. Just use a water sample and add 5 drops of each reagent and the screen will give you a digital rerading. It does 7 test factors.

    Do you have any recommendations on how I can keep my ph and alkalinity up in my pool. Or is that just part of it is adding product weekly bc thats what im doing. But i also like to keep it at 80 and a 7.2 7.4 ph. So that could be the reason

    • @SPL
      @SPL  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Add Borates and at 30-40 ppm the pH and Alkalinity will be much stabler.

      The 10 test factor disk are one use disks. $100 for a box of 50 of them. Product # LAM-47-1009 at SCP. This thing is totally rad but not inexpensive. The unit is around $800. But it does have a solid 2 year warranty and it is pretty rugged. It is great to get your monthly readings but probably not an everyday residential kit. If you do Commercial Accounts or new Pool Start-Ups this would be great to have. Currently there is a 30 day back order. Took 3 months to get this unit. It is in high demand. And the results are spot on. I independently verified the test factors at several accounts. It does Iron, Copper, CYA, Salinity and Phosphates which is really a game changer. And all 10 test factors in 60 seconds.

    • @SPL
      @SPL  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Haven't tested the TTi 3000 by Taylor. That one looks fine but this one does everything form one disk in 60 seconds. Taylor is more like their reagent tests with a digital readout. There is currently a 2 month back order on the Spin Touch. The demand is really high.
