- I went to Motherwell v Sligo Rovers in the UEFA Europa Conference League Qualifier at Fir Park.
All credit to the League of Ireland side. They were fantastic and deserved the win!

Totally agree with you mate. I know from living in Glasgow, and travelling to Northern Ireland many times in the past. Depending on which side of the peace line you're on. Even the way you name certain things, is enough for some to come unstuck.
(This is not a slight on the people of Northern Ireland, for they're very like us Glaswegians 'So I am told', I,e. the most welcoming;-))

Witnessed the incident with yourself last night, and it was completely uncalled for. The individual then went back into the march and had a go with a fellow Motherwell fan. Wouldn’t take it personally, clearly somebody with an inflated ego who’d had too much to drink. Keep doing what you’re doing 👍

@@dubShels Not really my place to go into too much detail, but I’ll just say the individual didn’t take too kindly to being filmed. In his defence, having his face on TH-cam could be incriminating, so it’s understandable. There’s a much better way to go about it though.

Saw a lot of Sligo fans in Glasgow during the day, seemed a decent size of support they brought over. Good result for them.

Been going to Well games for 20 years. Always sat in the Phil o Donnell stand. Never had a problem in there but the other stand you sat in is full of Well ultras who think they are way the most important fans there. Yet they are the most negative. Just listenin to all the booing. It gets on my nerves. I'm sorry about your Well experience but that's why I have not gone since pre vivid. Keep up the good work and keep smiling mate. All the best.
What happened I’m a Motherwell fan and just got a season ticking in John hunter and I love the atmosphere in there but I was on holiday so I couldn’t go last night but why did he leave 10 mins early

It's a shame even a lot of Irish people knock the teams so people abroad assume they're absolute no-hopers. Irish teams usually acquit themselves well and rarely get hammered or anything and beat many decent teams

In fairness, it seemed to be just one or two. No doubt the vast, vast majority of Motherwell fans are great people but it only takes a handful to give the wrong impression. Anyway, it's advantage Sligo so delighted to see an LOI team doing well.

@@timewithoutconsequence4611 It is, I grew up watching Portadown, and apart from one game against Cliftonville I never seen any trouble at any of the grounds. Fans sing the whole game win loose or draw. The footballs not the best your going to ever see, but they all give their all for their team.

Same mate, that conference league is made for teams from irish league and league of ireland. Imagine Linfield and Shamrock Rovers get to the group stages for example, not in same group necessarily but the money they would make from it would set most teams from here up for years. Unfortunately my local team aren't getting there any time soon. Barely stayed in the league ffs (Ports)

As a supporter of another LOI team in Dublin, well done to Sligo, but I also have a bit of a soft spot for Motherwell. That said, I want Sligo to progress, which I believe they will. Motherwell are undoubtedly going to come at Sligo next week which is probably going to leave them vulnerable defensively and I can see Sligo scoring a few goals whilst maintaining a very strong resolute defence like in Fir park. It's only half time, as they say, but I believe a more battle-hardened Sligo will be well prepared for next week and are going to win the game in the showgrounds.

As a Rangers fan I think what you do for Scottish football is great. So much other Scottish Football coverage only focuses on the Old Firm/ is incredibly bias/ or (more often) both. So nice to have decent content that will cover a diversity of teams in a neutral way.
The idiots that behave like that will in the end, only harm their own team more than anything. I hope you always keep doing what you are doing, and next time you are at Ibrox I'd be happy to buy you a pint!

From a 58 year old Well fan I am so sorry some of our fans made you feel intimidated enough to leave early. Had this problem even during my time watching all these years. You give a fair and honest view on teams from all leagues . About the game I think lack of preseason games did not help but Sligo took the chance they had. Been here before against Llanelli and think we will pull it back COYW

I'm pretty new to your channel, and absolutely love the content, I'll be making my way through all your videos this week. Your incredibly easy to listen to, unbiased, enthusiastic, friendly, and educate us in every video. As a Scot, its great to get a bit of coverage, and learn about the smaller teams, here and in Ireland + NIreland too. There is so much bigotry here, and you manage to concentrate on the football mostly, which is great. I hope you don't get put off by the small minded folks who gave you a bit of trouble, obviously their problems not yours. They should be happy the exposure you have given Motherwell here. I understand people complaining about TH-camrs when they're taking a ticket off an actual fan for a huge, sell-out game. When it's Motherwell - Sligo and you can't fill your stadium, however......
Pretty sure the Home end was sold out. (Note that the bucket seats at either side of the O'Donnell stand can't be used for European games)

These teams were getting to play in European qualifiers. Ireland didn't gain any slots. I liked the idea of conference league but it has alot of teams that's were in Europa League taking it over. Roma won the first one. That hasn't changed anything for smaller clubs. They should do it like the ice hockey and have it include only league under a certain coefficient
@Designated Productions and many teams from smaller nations now have a far lesser chance/no chance of making it to the EL. A third competition would be good if implemented correctly but UEFA are scum
If your satisfied with 'taking part' then yes it's great for smaller teams to get some European football but I agree with the last comment in Roma winning it (a top 5 Italian club) who wouldn't look out of place in the Champions league then , realistically the small teams aren't going to go far
