    Don't know why Whitlock is pushing that he didn't manage up. Hue was spot on, in that he was fired for the position of head coach and not for the person that he is. Thats the reason why most head coaches that are fired end up hired somewhere else as either another head coach, or for sure a coordinator position. And also the reason why non of these guys burn bridges. Of course there will be disagreements in these organizations. But they keep good relations and therefore 9 times out of 10 end up landing another position on another team.

    • @k.s.6139
      @k.s.6139 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly seemed like his Ego got in the way, he kinda projected his own issues onto Hue and simultaneously admitted it.
      To say Hue didn't manage up well is really odd as a statement.
      Hue didn't make enough good decisions in the situation he was in, which lets be fair wasn't a good situation to begin with.
      Say whatever you want but Cleveland is better after Hue Jackson, than they were before.

    Marcellus was trying to get Hue to name 1 thing that went wrong or could have gone better, but Hue was like a broken record saying at the end of the day over and over without really saying anything meaningful. How is Hue supposed to improve if he can't even identify what went wrong? Hue does take responsibility for all the losing, but he doesn't get into why it happened.
    Hue's explanation for why he got fired makes no sense. If it were because of the losing, he would have been fired at the end of last season with a 1-31 record. This year, Browns improve by going 2-5-1, with 2 of the loses coming in overtime, with a win over the Ravens and loses to Saints, Chiefs, and Steelers. So Hue gets fired when the team does better and over-performs expectations? Either Jimmy Haslam has no idea what he's doing (quite possible), or something else went down that Hue isn't fessing up to.

      I think you're reaching. He said that to make a point to Whitlock and put him in his place. These folks acting like it's the end of the World and he's trying to let them basically it's not. He's not first or last coach to get fired but at the end of the day God got em.

      He's just saying even though he lost his job, even though he's made mistakes, he knows who blessed him with a coaching job... And even if everybody takes everything from him... They can't take God. Ppl trying to bury him and his ego.... Which professional coach or player doesn't have one?

    What's sad is that we aren't having any of these conversations if the browns had made a few kicks. They'd be .500 right now. I'm not one for what ifs, but he had no control over those kicks. It wasn't like he was calling bad plays when the kicker just whiffed.

    Whitlock's gotta pat himself on the back and say how successful he's been. Hue didn't say anything like that. Whitlock has the ego issue. He's just projecting onto Hue, who is 100% class, more mature, more polished.

    As a die hard, hardcore Raider fan, I still & will always support Hue wherever he goes. I want him back next season as Jon Gruden's OC. If that doesn't happen, why not try coaching college a try. He can go back and be the HC at USC next year. If he doesn't come to the Raiders next season, he should coach college. I think he'd be ideal for that!!
