      I don't think so for exactly what Whitlock said. People like Whitlock would automatically say that Garrett is trying to play the race card to justify his actions. Also, I don't remember Garrett being allowed to say anything that wasn't already prepared for him. It would make sense that the organization and his lawyer wouldn't want Garrett to freely talk in public cuz it could be used against him in his appeal. So, to me, it makes sense that he waited (most likely on advice of the org and/or his lawyer) until his appeal to fully explain his side of what happened.
      You cannot make overarching generalities cuz you cannot speak for every single person. If you think you can then you're dumber than I thought you are.

    • @cemarz
      @cemarz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Garrett and his HC insinuated that something was said immediately after the game. Then Garrett waits until and official meeting, closed doors, with a league official, under oath to let the league know what's up. As anyone with a sense of responsibility and respect for the league would do, as an act of not escolating. It gets leaked and now everyone's getting pissy that he didn't shout off the rooftops as the entire media world is condemning him. The same people who are ripping him for going through the proper channels would have ripped him for not going through the proper channels.

      @@solomongrundy6650 I think you missed the crux of my point. Can you observe collective behavior? Yes. He believes that a nobody white guy like Rudolph would jeopardize his tenuous hold on an NFL roster spot, by calling Garrett the N word, while in close proximity to his black teammates....that makes NO sense, whatsoever. To anyone with a brain, Garrett is trying to deflect from his thuggery, period. Common sense would tell anyone that even if he did use the word, it is NOT justification for clubbing his opponent with a helmet. You are too good of a sports pundit to align yourself with this racist rhetoric. You have always professed that being black is not a get out of jail free card...do not let a counter attitude become associated with your approach to sports. You are one of the few whose opinion I can trust, even if I don't agree. Do you really think there was anything Rudolph could do to justify Garrett swinging the helmet?
    If so, BS

    • @kaikawasumi
      @kaikawasumi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why is that relevant? One was punished severely to the point that the NFL broke a contract just to do it, and the other was fined minorly and not suspended. Do you want Myles to be punished more, is that it?

    • @MrMullyg
      @MrMullyg 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kaikawasumi Nothing, absolutely nothing, Rudolph did or said justifies Garret swinging the helmet. If he had not swung the helmet completely different discussion. So yes, Garrett should be punished more without a shadow of a doubt.

    Think...:think..... maybe he didn’t say nothing yet cause he thought he was gonna get a lower suspension at the appeal. After the appeal was rejected and leaked unfairly. He was like let me tell it. Exactly what Marcellus said

      Jose, as a Steeler fan I agree that Rudolph should have been suspended at least 1 game for his actions prior to Garrett's actions. If Rudolph's hand was stuck in the helmet it can change the dynamics of this but so based on "camera angles" I have seen, Rudolph was wrong to try to take Garrett's helmet off 1st.

    So, Wiley wants to talk about Rudolph's comments six days later, yet doesn't question the fact that Garrett never mentioned a racial slur immediately after the incident, but tells the NFL it happened six days later. Also, LOL at Lavar's basketball story. "I don't remember if I told anyone." Ok, dudes.
