- A couple months I made a community post promising a tutorial on the 8th doctor's sonic screwdriver if I get to 600 subscribers. As I'm writing this my channel sits at 736, so here we go.
Hope you enjoy and if you decide to have a go at making this yourself id love to see what you come up with.

For those of you who want to buy one off me I should say that I wont be able to make another one for a few months yet, as I'm moving and I still need to figure out the pricing. I'll update you all when I can.

Yeah sorry. I promised I'd do this one and I don't want to get the reputation of promising stuff and not delivering. I've already done that in a couple early videos back when I didn't know what I was doing
This kind of design really appeals to me. I do love the Victorian style aesthetic, my personal favorite sonic would be this style looks with the claws of the 11th/14th doctors sonic.
Love this so much. If your wondering why your channel grew so quickly its because you awakened the 8th doctor fans, when a new youtube channel discussing the 8th doctor starts we will come. There aren't many of us but we'll follow you to the ends of the earth. On the other hand I'd love an 8th doctor sonic, I'm not everything going there and I'm not super keen to just post private info willy nilly but on the other hand I need one.
That would explain it. I'm going to be honest. I'm moving soon so wont have much time to make another one for a few months yet but I'll let you know
@@thatDamnAusWhoFan all good, excited for you zagrues video, I recently got a new fan into big finish with the 8th doctor without thinking of the consequences, were approaching zagrues and I don't know how to broach it. One last thing I'd like to point out is I really like listening to the villain trilogy before zagreus, I know from a story perspective it has little to do with the actual story of zagreus but thematically it works quite well, explores the themes doctor in a way that makes zagrues slightly more approachable and omega gives some background for rasolon. Just my two cents but I didn't know where else to put it.

makes me nostalgic for the 9/10th doctor screwdriver i made as a nine year old out of a painted uv light/invisible ink pen with beads in it (so when i shake it it "buzzes")
Just got into the 8th doctor audio because of you and I’m loving it so far. I would definitely be interested in buying a screwdriver of my own when you have the time.
I will say tho this sonic is THICC like it looks like a lightsaber 👀😂
Oh definitely. 8 is the only doctor with s carry bag and I think that's mostly so fans wouldn't speculate where he keeps his sonic. It's so perfect for him though it looks like something a time traveller would own. I can just picture him up one night in the tardis, building this thing out of inachronistic tech and bits and bobs hes gathered over the years.

I dont know why im watching this the only thinh ive seen with the 8th doctor is yhe short and i watvhed the moive today and i wana listen to the audios i saw people say there is some on spoiify there is only a song playlisy one that is out if ordern because i dont have premium and im to lazy to download a hacked version
Highly recommend the audios. A lot of the early ones are cheap on the big finish website. Theres also "into the tardis". Its like a pod cast sort of thing but it's full audio dramas. It's on Apple podcast and it's free to listen to.
There is also piracy. I shouldn't be condoning it but I've spent thousands of dollars so far on audio dramas and the only reason I did that is because 10 years ago someone I knew lent me a hard drive full of doctor who stuff that happened to contain a bunch of big finish audios.
Piracy is a grey area but I wouldn't be buying big finish or even making these videos if I didn't engage in it

Sorry to bother but would you mind telling me where the power core is in the sonic screwdriver, I don't want to accidentally break it while trying to find it
Its no bother. I probably should have got a new sonic for the video. With the 11th doctor one to replace the batteries you need to remove the bottom half of the sonic. The bit that the batteries go in is the power core. Theres some sissasembly or tare down videos on TH-cam. Since mine was a bootleg one I had to cut it out with a dremle.

I'll have to gwt back to you on that one. The sonic toy is around $40aud. The other stiff is around $20, and the crystal is $12 for a good sized stick of it. Then theres the time commitment.
