Saw them in Seattle, playing with Ensiferum . . . 3 years ago? For the Noita album. I’ll never forget it. My oldest son has been a fan for years but that album won me over. Seeing Joni cracking jokes with the mosh pit-in Finnish-did this ESL teacher’s heart good; amazing to see people boldly using their own language and not succumbing to the “when in America, always speak English” attitude. Maybe one day I can learn at least some basic phrases in Finnish.

They did this song in Philadelphia last night. They were so awesome! I highly suggest seeing them even if you're not a big fan, you just might be afterward.
I just discovered this band by coincidence in a Spotify playlist... and I cannot stop listening to their music. You guys rock! Greetings from Honduras!

We were on Korpiklaani concert in Saint-Petersburg and it was hot as hell! With beer, trolls and firs! The fabulous five Finns released their 10th studio album Kulkija on September 7, 2018 and simultaneously started their new tour in Russia! All fans had an opportunity to buy special concert tickets with the album included in the price. We bought them straight away! Already at 4:30 P.M. the “forest clan” was signing postcards and posing for photos with fans in the Rock Star Café (Saint-Petersburg). We were also there and drank apple cider, said our greetings to the band, gave them our handmade dreamcatcher (!), photographed with all Korpiklaani members and got our postcards signed! The staff of the Rock Star Café made the process as smooth as possible - in half an hour we were ready and running with tickets to the nearest subway station. When we arrived to the Aurora Concert Hall the crowd was already gathering but we managed to sneak as near as possible to the stage at the right corner of the hall. The lights flashed and the concert began! The Russian band Troll Bends Fir started to warm up the crowd and made a hell of a good job! People immediately started to jump, shout, and slamdance! A whirlpool of people moved wildly in the center of the hall. All other fans were quickly washed away by the tide to the sides of the hall or directly to the stage fence. The floor and walls vibrated resonating to the guttural growl: “TROOOOOL!!!!!!!!!” After such warm up even the air was too hot to breathe and we climbed to the elevated spot at our corner of the hall with outstanding view on the stage and the ocean of people beneath it. The second tuning of instruments and equipment did not take long and the concert continued! The crowd roared when Korpiklaani finally entered the stage. Matson Johansson was first to appear - he simply checked his drums before the first song. The second was bearded bassist Jarkko Aaltonen dressed in black shirt and kilt - he leisurely walked across the stage barefoot. Sami Perttula, the accordionist, run to the front, stepped on the loudspeaker and spread his arms as if trying to embrace all people in front of him. He was followed by sharp dressed violinist Tuomas Rounakari in shining white costume. Long-haired Cane appeared in his timeless wide-brimmed hat, white shirt, and black pants and warmly greeted the audience. Jonne Järvelä in black jacket and cowboy pants jumped to the front and started the madness! Wild music flooded the hall, lyrics streamed like a waterfall, people rocked, danced and roared. Jonne was like a black demon running across the stage, jumping on loudspeakers, and shaking his dreadlocks. Other band members supported their furious leader. Together they showed various scenes from the songs, danced, and run one after another. Sami Perttula was adding fuel to the burning flame like a locomotive fireman. Tuomas Rounakari rocked hard with his violin and even copied the scene from The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo when a girl stretched out to him over the fence in front of the stage. A forest of arms and hands raised into the air! One guy climbed on the fence, sent hearts to the band and fell back crowdsurfing. In the center of the hall half-naked fans jumped on the shoulders of each other and then fired a flare. We jumped with the crowd, roared, danced and sang songs with the band! We breathed not air but pure hot energy, shouting “Hey! Hey! Hey!” on Man with a Plan and all songs after it. We boiled in the mad mix of music and insane joy. Two full hours the band rocked the hall and forced the fans to jump, shout and applaud. The crowd erupted like a volcano when all finally heard Vodka and Beer Beer! It was a Finnish bacchanalia and we enjoyed it like hell! Our thanks to the band for the unforgettable concert and great new album! P.S. We also managed to snatch a poster right from the Concert Hall after the concert :)
Awesome song and even better video clip! Metal or any other harder styles are not for me, but you guys, you are changing my life ❤keep playing it's perfect
This video is based on a true story: it's a totally accurate depiction of Korpiklaani when they were young boys! Ha! This video is so lovely. Jonne, Tuomas, you are fantastic!

Nice old Finnish architecture. Can't really date this but 1800s and first decades of 1900s come to mind. Rural houses built after WW2 seem way more modern.

Met them at a Mexican restaurant after Rock and Shock in Worcester at the Pallidium. Such chill guys hangin at the bar after a night of performing and putting on a great show.
...what those guys said.
I realized once again, that I am always fascinated by how much people seem to love german bands like rammstein without understanding a single word, but then I always come back to these guys... So yeah.
Love this band!! As a Yooper, I feel closer to my Finnish roots listening to this and you honestly don't have to understand Finnish watching this video.
Minä piikoja pihalla katselen
Kuka ois yhä vanhana tuttu
Mutta kuinka me vanhaksi päädyttäisiin
Se onkin jo ihan eri juttu
Minä heinäsen huulille asetan
Siinä katselen piikojen työtä:
Yksi kantaa jo maitoa kannuissa
Kuka ollut on aitassa yötä?
Minä hattua otsalla parannan
Sitä auringon neulaset vaivaa
Vaiko piikojen poskien punerrus
Joka surujani rinnasta raivaa?
Ja astua kuin yli kukkasten
Yli päivien kulkuriöiden
Kun piikaani pihalla katselen
Renkinä ovia availen
Onko piikanen milloinkaan katsonut
Tätä koreaa henkselipoikaa?
Joka kesteissä pelimannin palkitsee:
”Yli yön, yli työn yhä soikaa!”
Minä piikoja pihalla katselen
Sitä kolmannen viljavaa tukkaa
Vaikka hymy kuin kesäyö kultainen
Kutoo päivin se mustinta sukkaa
Siinä tummia pilviä pilkottelee
Piha sateesta sukkelaan kastuu
Kuka porstuaan ovensa avaakaan
Vielä rinnalla aikoja astuu
Ja astua kuin yli kukkasten
Yli päivien kulkuriöiden
Kun piikaani pihalla katselen
Renkinä ovia availen
Onko piikanen milloinkaan katsonut
Tätä koreaa henkselipoikaa?
Joka kesteissä pelimannin palkitsee:
”Yli yön, yli työn yhä soikaa!”
Pretty wonderful song. Thank for made us happy so many years.
Es la Mejor Canción de KORPIKLAANI , saludos desde COLOMBIA ! :D , Respect From Colombia!
After all these years, I still don't understand a single word, but I'm always in love with every song! 🤘
The floor and walls vibrated resonating to the guttural growl: “TROOOOOL!!!!!!!!!”
After such warm up even the air was too hot to breathe and we climbed to the elevated spot at our corner of the hall with outstanding view on the stage and the ocean of people beneath it.
Awesome! Looking forward to the new album!
Yeah, I'm from Puerto Rico and this is one of the bands that made me and my friends make a metal band

This video is based on a true story: it's a totally accurate depiction of Korpiklaani when they were young boys! Ha! This video is so lovely. Jonne, Tuomas, you are fantastic!
Last friday show (1/3/19) was crazy!!!! Kiitos from Bilbao, you are the best!!!
Respect from Indonesia. I'm really love this band...
Ah a tale as old as time😊😉
And still, it never gets old. :)
The ways of old shall not be forgotten, for they are passed on from father to son.
At least, few of us still do so...
I bought the Kalevala. It'll be a piece of inheritance to my friends/family. Keeping roots is important!
@@Raven_Leblanc You want your descendants to inherit a piece of stolen Karelian culture, used to deny and suppress Karelian identity and language? Yikes
Love 🇫🇮 from Korea!🇰🇷😎😎
Nice old Finnish architecture. Can't really date this but 1800s and first decades of 1900s come to mind. Rural houses built after WW2 seem way more modern.
I can't wait to get this album! Band did a great job once again
