Yeah the issue wasn't the validity of the statement. It would be less jarring coming out of the mouth of an adult. But a 6 year old shouldn't be having such profound thoughts.

"Naps don't help when your soul is tired" That is the most adult thing I have ever heard... the fact it came out of a child in a class who was supposed to be napping... If I had been the teacher I don't know if I woulda holla'd "PREACH" been in such agreement and shock that I just walk away wordlessly, or burst into a puddle of tears right there... Jesus...
@PrinceJoshTheGreat yeah, but kids be saying wild shit though. Even if it's a made-up story, spend some time atound kids, and you will hear some wild shit.
@@PrinceJoshTheGreatyou'd be surprised. I used to work in a preschool and the things those kids said were really shocking, both good and bad. Naptimes also did have a weird effect on kids, you could tell who had problems at home by the kid's sleeping patterns. There was one kid who clearly came from a rough home and would not only never sleep, he wouldn't let other kids sleep and would get eerily angry, we often had to remove him to let the other kids sleep because he would just get up and forcefully wake them up. He eventually got kicked out for hitting another kid in the face with a brick. He said some really scary stuff with a totally deadpan look on his face that would give you chills. I still wonder about him, 15 years or so later, I can't imagine he had an easy life. His mom definitely had issues and always seemed distracted, on the phone, would drag him by his arm without paying attention to him, he often had wrinkled, dirty clothes. Other kids knocked right out with smiles on their faces every day. You can tell what kids are prone to anxiety, deep thought, superficiality, etc., their personalities are there. He could have made this up, sure, but after the things I've seen and heard it wouldn't surprise me if it were real.

That conversation with the security guard was the most real shit ever. As a former grocery store employee (not even in a bad neighborhood) that is exactly how we would have handled that situation.
@alicemakarevich6762 in a typical neighborhood you would call the police. I worked at a grocery store too, the police were called a few times and they were always there pretty quick. But I imagine it's much different when it's an everyday thing. You're not going to call the cops every day to come usher the weirdos out of your store. Especially if you have hired "security" on site. We also had hired security from a third party at our store, and they were laughably incompetent, but grossly underpaid so I never blamed them too much. I'm wondering if he worked at the same store. I am loving all the new content being released on the regular. As I live overseas, this is the closest I get to seeing Josh live and in person. Great job, dude!
Why did I laugh at "So I was constantly in danger"? That wry delivery is just so damn funny, but I don't want this man in danger, Josh Johnson is a national treasure!
Wish I could relate, but even being nearly homeless as an adult does not compare to the intense soul-crushing stress of my childhood. Adulting is the best thing ever and nobody can change my mind.
Hi, I don't know your situation, but I hope this helps: There's a behavioral psychologist on TH-cam named Patrick Teahan. His videos are hard to watch and the work is hard. To be honest, I can only do it once a month. But MAN, is he effective! I'm slowly healing, and being my own parent. There's also a neuroscientist who has a channel called Therapy in a nutshell. Those 2, comedy and kindness are very powerful. So glad we're not children anymore. I wish you well.
I agree! Wow I never hear anyone else say this but you couldn't pay me to go back to my childhood. It was the most unsafe I've ever felt. Ran away at 17 and even living in a boarding house and working at a pizzeria for $1 an hour was better because I was in control of my own life. I worry about people who wish they could return to childhood, the more I get my life in order, the better it gets, I love that. ❤

You're a Montessori baby!! Why haven't I seen more material on Montessori v traditional schooling from you??! I have a boatload, and I'm not even doing stand up! 😂😅
I don't think the pigeon story is crazy. In Finland is where I first noticed birds are militarized. They have a captain, 2nd in command and squadrons. The commander calls out to the squadrons when to go after people with food. They are highly organized!
