My choir did this version of these songs for a pop concert. It was a lot of fun. Can confirm, altos probably had the hardest part with those really repetitive staccato notes. I twas not an alto, so I had all the fun 😂

Having figured out the arrangement and performed it in my college a cappella group, the underrated hard part is the tss (percussion that's throughout). My favorite part is the slow "face, there's not a thing I would change..." etc. in the background.

Performed this in choir in middle school. I was in the small group doing the off-beat which was really hard to focus on. I also had the bass on the very last "face" which was fun. Don't think I could hit that note as easily anymore. 😂

I wonder how much of the facial expressions during the film performance is the actors choosing to put more emphasis on the visual, and emotional delivery, knowing that they already have the vocal performance "in the bag" seeing it was recorded earlier and how much of it was bad technique. Like I couldn't help but notice that Anna Camp's character didn't only sing with her cheeks wide, but she was also smiling, signifying that her character was opening up, while Anna Kendric didn't look like she was even putting in any effort.. I don't know, maybe it's just a common mistake among singers, but it got me wondering as well..

Are you familiar with the Acapella group, Pentatonix? If you haven't heard them, I highly recommend Hallelujah, Daft Punk Medley, Amazing Grace, or The Prayer.
