Somewhere Out to Sea in Ireland

- One of the more exciting swell chases is when you gamble on going to a spot that has never been documented and you score.
The lads in Ireland know that on the right day when the swell is going to be BIG and with no wind this place has all the chances of been very special. And that is exactly what happens.
The Cortes Bank of Ireland on this historic day we got all more than we expected.
Enjoy..

Never forget to be thankful of what nature can give us. They were amazing waves, what a treat .
Secret mysto reef revealed. For a monster...what a forgiving wave...great beginners wave for the giant wave aficionado. Great footage, good soundtrack. My great grandmother was born in Ireland. I wander if she was a shred betty? I think SoCal surfing is more my cup of tea LOL.
Geez Tim , you are always on it , wherever its happening youre there, such fantastic entertainment .Thank you
LOVED the footage. Not so much the music but I stilled LOVED IT!!!! After awhile, the music was not so bad.
Definitely one of the most epic big wave adventures on YT! Amazingly gutsy surfing pulling in behind that peak.
Awesome waves and courage .
Editung is bang on.
Fantastic job .
1 for the grandkids.
Great footage/edit. Perfect soundtrack. What a place👌🏻
a top surf moment captured superbly.....nice one........
Espetacular 😎 Amazing vídeos 👍👏👏👏👏👏
I guess Nazaré was a bit of a dud this year, and glad there are other great waves out there. Fantastic film, TY!
The Jaws of Ireland.
Just amazing!
Epic boyz just Epic. Great footage
awesome wave guys!!
Couple of all time epic waves there
That bloke in the orange was just a brutal Hellman. Putting himself into positions that were basically unmakeable then charging. Next level.
Holy crap they are the magic waves I need , well it's the west coast of Ireland , wild Atlantic way ,
what a cool wave
Awesome.
Would love this with no music, just the sound of the waves.
Epic mates
Why do big wave surfing vids always have to be in s l o w m o t i o n . . .
Because they're 2 second waves.
And all bommies are nearly the same, yawn
That sensation of expanding into a moment (aka a great ride) is like slow motion for surfers, every detail u always remember
Mavericks twin brother of the Atlantic
Looks a good bit steeper than Nazarre, even with a perspective that if anything underplays that (unlike a certain cliff top "fake face" perspective)... and, as such, makes for real looking surfing, with an opportunity to keep dropping all the way down BEYOND a slope, and TURN.
What a great wave! I would of kept that one on the "down low".
Nice find. Looks amazing.
Thanks for showing an incredible wave at such a scenic location. It's a long way from Middleton and the mid coast eh?
Christies
The Cortez Bank of Ireland!
This is more like nazare
This break has a Maverick's vibe to it.
That's crazy! Have they named it already? Castellans I think would be a good one for this Bombora.
Guys the vision is great, no one will judge you for playing the clips at actual speed
Love the surfing but can't really get a good grip of how fast they're going because it's all in slow motion, want to see the real thing here the waves and see how fast they're going out in the open ocean
For a big wave it looks kinda easy. Would love to have a crack at it
"Dubbed "the worst kept secret since the tooth fairy", xxxxxxx, the monster wave about a mile off the coast of Mullaghmore head in Sligo, was discovered and ridden in 2010"
Spot reminds me of Mavericks....
Irish Maverics
Thousand's of years sailors have witnessed that wave, now you guy's are surfing it,wow????
Yeah, I’m sure many ancient mariners have been taken out by that peak out of nowhere
@@wodjism6699 yeah,for sure????
PROWLERS ?????
Another pearler
Best kept secret
It used to be…
Emerald Mavs?
they are bigger then 20 foot, some 50+
Prowlers?
Yes
Fkin Crazy Irishman!
Wonder what they call it..
Cold water slows everything down. 😂
McMavericks
I’m surprised no one is paddling into this, why tow in
Is that all on the Bullockmore reef?
let us all know when you find out
Crazy!!!
Just a drop though. Heavy waves all the same.

Great filming & awesome waves, but that music! Man that's like nails 💅 on a chalk board. Your videos 📹 would be soooo much better if you selected better soundtracks....just trying to help 🤙
So frustrating. We want to watch these beautiful waves in real time speed !
YT already has a slow mo button !
it also has a speed up button
why the crap music.? sounds like an insurnce commercial
Great surfing. But stupid ULTRA slow-mo the entire vid just killed the vibe completely. Taking 8min of rad footage & dragging it on for another 9 extra minutes was just unbearable. Watched the whole thing in fast forward & the waves were still in slow motion! Edit fail.
Slo mo surfing sucks
grandpa wave.....meh
they could have paddled that wave !
Y'all are revealing yourselves as kooks, by your complete cluelessness regarding the fact that they can, on the bigger-and-thus-steeper ones, keep dropping on the lower part of the face, and then turn at the bottom, unlike Nazarre... which is too slopey in the bottom half to even reasonably call it part of the face, but appears (steeper, and) like part of the face, from above on the clifftop. (If one can't drop down it, it AIN'T part of the face, see... but you don't reject that 'bout Nazarre.)
@Bob H what you talking bout dude ??
@@0warami_7oo Something beyond your comprehension, I suppose. Though I'm not really questioning YOUR claim that they could have paddled that wave... however, they could not have on the low volume boards they were riding, being "grandpas" and all. And, I'd rather see old guys try to keep up on shortboards than log it on the equivalent of paddleboards, with diminishing style. Though, not if there are "real" surfers (paddlers) in the lineup... which there were not. Bottom line, this was a lot closer to real surfing... particularly by the non-grandpas... than anything you will see at Nazarre's semi-huge mush wedges, is what I'm talking about, duuude.
@Bob H ok makes sense now re nazare and these guys, I think this wave easier to please the eye but nazare is heavier comes out of deeper water moving faster. Ireland has incredible excellent surf breaks nazare cannot compare to the emerald tubes
all the riders were white! where is the diversity and inclusion?
Well I never mess with an Irish persons option on Irish music haha and I enjoy most anything about surfing like you probably do
It was not a heavy wave at all my god mind you for old pappy who wasn’t fading he was more completely unaware of where he was and certainly where the whitewash was hahaha sooo good hahaha
Low tide wouldve helped it a lot
Tim you need to take a leaf out of Nate Florence book with music mate and lose the eltronica rubbish which isn’t and has never been cool anyway and put some good traditional Irish soundtracks when in Ireland
I quite enjoyed it, and would prefer it to “traditional Irish music” as an Irish person
Yeah , get the music in order mate , it's head wreaking
Or, just do you. Peace
I enjoyed this music as an Irish person 🤷♀️
That’s great
