She ruined an otherwise solid interview by lending her legitimacy to absurd partisan attacks. It’s extremely unprofessional journalism to adopt as serious insinuations for which no evidence exists other than being strategically deployed by rivals to exploit crude stereotypes and prejudices. Old people are not senile. Gay people are not pedophiles. Women are not sexual harlots. Liberals are not snowflake socialists. It’s incredible that anyone takes as serious what Republicans say.

Why didn't he recommend to Putin to get the h'll out of Ukraine and give back all Ukrainian territory including Crimea? 🤔

Hes the former director of the CIA. According to Pompeo their motto is "We lie, We cheat, We steal." how can you trust anything coming out of the mouth of this man...
To do the job he did, you have to not care about morality, how otherwise could you possible be a good leader of such an organization...
In my opinion, these are the people with no moral values at all, or at the minimum he can easily put principles and moral values aside so he can do his job which is to lie cheat, steal and kill... That's all the CIA does....
If you would care to listen to both sides you would easily see he's lying right now... But people don't do this, they will only listen to one side and then believe the understand what's going on..
That's not how the world works, if you want to understand anything, you always listen to both sides, Westerners don't seem to get this logic...
I can't really blame you, they banned the other side, to prefend people from listening to Russia.. It's much easier to indoctrinate people, when you don't give them the chance to listen to other point of views...
You see how brainwashing and manipulating works, it's very easy... If you truly had freedom of press, you would be able to listen to Russian media, but you don't have that freedom...

Joe Biden was the youngest U.S. senator ever elected at age 30. He served in the senate for 36 years. He is an expert on foreign and domestic policy. His leadership in the Ukraine war has been superb. Regardless of your politics, his domestic accomplishments in less than two years has rarely been matched. Trump talked about an infrastructure bill for 4 years, one that was decades overdue. Biden delivered one and he did it with a 50/50 senate. America is America, in part, because we have a civilian run government. Eisenhower was a rare exception. Great generals and great CEOs don’t tend to be very good political leaders. I was in the military in a foreign country before moving to the US, and I can see why the US holds superiority in many aspects such as the military. Obviously, things are run differently in other countries, but one thing that strikes me in the US (with the exception of the years when trump was in office) is how independent, intelligent, capable, well-informed, savvy, well-spoken, and most importantly apolitical high ranking men and women that serve with integrity (again, with the exception of the yes-men associated with trump).

What Russia is doing against Ukrainian infrastructure is exactly what the US did in Yugoslavia, but that was legal back then (sic).
What unprovoked attack against Ukraine? The Ukrainian government was overthrown back in 2014.
The first thing the new pro-western government did was to forbid the teaching of the Russian language in all Ukrainian schools.
This resulted in a demand for autonomy in the Eastern Provinces of Ukraine (not independence), that resulted in the Ukrainian Army attacking its Eastern Provinces in a war that was going on for eight years.
At the same time Ukraine gave a deadline to Russia to evacuate the bases they were leasing from Ukraine in Crimea within a year. This resulted in the immediate annexation of Crimea by Russia.
About a week before the Russian invasion, the Ukrainian government passed another law stating that Ukraine no longer recognized any ethnic minorities within Ukraine.
They have also stated that they wanted to join NATO, something that was a huge No-No for Russia. The Russians have repeatedly stated over the past decades that they would not tolerate Ukraine joining NATO.
Unfortunately for Ukraine both the US and NATO encouraged the Ukrainian position by saying it's their right to join NATO if they want to.
This whole mess could have been avoided if the US and NATO did not encourage Ukrainian expectations.
For Russia, Ukraine joining NATO would mean that Russia would have to defend a 2500 Km border, instead of a 1000Km one, Belorussia would become indefensible and that Russian strategic river ports would be within 150 Km from NATO's borders. It was quite obvious that Russia was not going to tolerate all of that to happen.
True, the Russians grossly underestimated the Ukrainian resistance, and they did use extremely small forces dispersed in a very large front.
It is disappointing however that general Petraeus does not seem to take in to account Russian history both during the Napoleonic wars and operation Barbarossa. Russia took a hell of a beating during the first stages of the war but turned it around later.
The general seems to base his positions in a lot of wishful thinking, that seems to be the politically correct way to talk in the US these days.
The annexation of the Eastern Ukrainian provinces by Russia was not aimed at land gains but to circumvent Russian law that forbids the use of the Russian Army outside their borders, unless Russia is attacked.
Because of this, the Ukrainian operation was not called War, but a Special Operation and the forces used were limited in Special Forces and volunteers.
With the referendums (without any opposition, because they fled the area), Ukraine is digging its own grave, because now it is attacking Russian territories thus making it legal for Russia to use the bulk of its forces against them.
IMAO if this thing goes on, there will be no Ukraine within a year. What is extremely worrisome though is that Putin did not say that Russia is at war with Ukraine in his speech, but he said that Russia is at war with NATO over a 1000 Km front in Ukraine.
Also, general Petraeus made a statement that Russia will be destroyed if it uses nuclear weapons. If the statement was accurately reproduced by the media, I really think that US officials need to think twice before they open their mouths. I guess that in the face of its destruction Russia will not respond with roses, but it will also fill the US with "mushrooms".
The US is still in the position to stop any further escalation of this war, because if it does not do so, the responsibility for whatever comes along will be with the US.

They are the reason we have this mess in Ukraine. Ukraine could have been easily brought into the West orbit without constant talk of expanding NATO. Way more money would have been left to spend on domestic problems in the US and many more Ukrainians would be alive today. This war was totally avoidable if it was not because of American adventurism which at the end enriches the arms industry in the US.

@@jvm-tv Putin expressed it explicitly that the collapse of SU was the greatest disaster, he would mess with internal Ukrainian affairs anyway. The citizens of that country have already lived under Russian government and majority of them opposed falling under Russian boot again. They would join EU sooner or later anyway and only NATO membership would guarantee their safety - Putin broke literally every treaty with Ukraine. Although thousands have died already and more will die, in longer perspective this war will only strenghten Ukrainian people. Maybe it was needed to make them completely disillusioned about their fate when their country would be again in a sphere or Russian influence. And this war is a warning sign for the West (signalled plenty of times by the Baltic countries) that it needs to be united against countries which despise the very values the western world is built on.
