23:55 Problem with the Green party in Germany is, that they are not hawks, but very aggressive pigeons, meaning they are aggressive in their foreign policy, but domestically they still are committed to policies that weaken Germany (terrible energy policy, uneasy with military spending and in general a disparaging attitude towards the Bundeswehr and national strength and identity)
Exceptional one-sided conversation. Amazing to watch and listen to our most educated and well-informed influencers speak so lightly to infusing America into war with Russia. Cooler heads will prevail, sadly it will not come from our betters.
What a brilliant discussion between these fine military minds. I could listen to these gentlemen talk for hours. As an Australian, it gratifying to see that a US General has a deep understanding of the significance to Australian and New Zealand people of Galipoli in 1915, a battle that forged the psyche and character into a new nation. The 25th of April is ANZAC day, celebrated at dawn, the same time the Australian and New zealand soldiers landen on the beach in Turkey. I am so touched that an American General would reference this.
These men are indeed what makes America great. Educated, experienced, and committed. Generals, Sirs, thank you for your service, your leadership, and preparing the next generation of officers. Scholars, the rest of us can learn from your continuing pursuit of enlightenment and understanding. Thank you.
I'd like to find a contrasting view that made sense. I tried Counsel on Foreign Relations. Thy don't take comments. I commend you to an Australian, Perun. He had a gaming channel, but decided to do a video on Ukraine as he was tired of the media coverage. He had over the top response and he has done half a dozen over the last week. He does grand strategy, the microeconomics of what nation states should be spending scarce military dollars on and analysis of figures coming out of Ukraine.
Very good talk. So well explained and argued. Despite your endless political wrangling in the USA, I have always admired your country for its ability to organise and conduct affairs, both civil and military, so efficiently. Greetings from Western Australia.
Excellent discussion, though many times I found myself wishing Mr. Cochrane wouldn't interrupt people as often as he does to make what I found to be less relevant comments than the ones he was cutting off.
Great mix of commentary. Here's hoping their optimism is well founded and that the specter of war weariness does not prevail. As an Aussie I found the very appropriate analogy of the ANZAC spirit's birth in the Gallipoli crucible most gratifying. Thank you.
I really enjoyed that. I noticed that no one brought up the issue of supplying the ukrainians with gasoline. Russia has destroyed every Ukrainian refinery. What happens when the tanks run out of gas?
Russia fail to change regime in Ukraine just as the American failed to change regime in Syria, we are well aware of that. Ukraine is another Syria, everybody goes back home with loses. And the battle ground is left in ruins.
The economist doesn't seem to understand the complexity of modern millitary hardware. A P52 was basically a combustion engine surrounded by some metal and hydraulics not a F35 that is a crazy complex system. Also the capabilities of a F35 are incredible vs the P52. A javelin is far more complex than anything from ww2.
Mr. Cochrane didn't go into the 'economics of Russia,' i.e., Fossil Fuel sales to the EU and how the West is financing this Ukraine debacle. Great commentary though, Cheers and God bless.
Russia is applying war strategies many do not understand or seem to be ignoring. The Ukrainian city of Mariupol is now fully under Russian control. The last Azov soldiers hiding in bunkers inside the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol have surrendered. Russian troops are also gaining more territory in Eastern Ukraine. The Russian Ruble has grown stronger after the Ukraine war. Putin's internal rating is over 90%. It doesn't seem like Russia will eventually loose.
Ucranians big men, I supose wil give a good use to 4000 Kalories / each one, to portuguese's special forces combat rations. The regular ones are also very good. It's nºI heathy, tasty combat ration.
Talking up Ukraine. I'd just wait and see where this leads. Whichever way, Ukraine will be a bankrupt or near bankrupt country, whether or not it ends up holding itself together
It's not much of a victory if your country is destroyed. This war was totally preventable.
I wish the general would've talked more about: "I don't think Russia itself is really gonna last another 5 years." (20:14 mark) What?!?

Great conversation...
High standard of commentary, intelligent, cogent and understandable.
I realy feel deeply thankful for men lyke you, who defend moral values and peace. May God bless you all.
What a bunch of intelligent men, especially General Hodges.
Amazing how you can sit riveted listening to a discussion that you don't want to end. Great stuff thank you very much Hoover.
HR: please explain how retired senior military obtain Ukrainian war information? In other words, what is degree of reliability?
Ben Hodges for PRESIDENT!!! I LOVE this guy. Eisenhower would be very proud of you, sir!
Once you discover this show you wonder why anybody watches the network’s shallow analysis. Very good episode
Thanks Gentlemen,
Always a pleasure to eavesdrop on an adult conversation.

Image quality is much better on each GoodFellow - no more grainy webcams...

Guys are GREAT!!!

Thank you General Hodges

It will be a rough extra week without this great program.
I really enjoyed that. I noticed that no one brought up the issue of supplying the ukrainians with gasoline. Russia has destroyed every Ukrainian refinery. What happens when the tanks run out of gas?
So refreshing to hear actual professionals talk about this instead of bloviating talking heads. Hard-headed, articulate, insightful.
The US will fight to win against Russia right down to the last Ukrainian soldier
Just what is Ukraine going to win?
The Chinese forces will also be very top down, no?
Great comparison of the Anzacs and Ukraine. love from Oz-Straya. Slava Ukraine.
Fascinating informed comment, well done to all four participants David McCabe ireland

Ukraine is another Syria, everybody goes back home with loses. And the battle ground is left in ruins.
I honestly think these very clever men are over optimistic and there is a dreadful hubris in the American elite
must settle this fight once and for all. Recapture Donbas and Crimea and all the latest
Additions and have a strong backing
Greatly appreciate the analyses. By contrast what’s going on in Ukraine and Russia, we are blessed to be Americans.
Very interesting and informative. These guys seem to know what they are talking about. Maybe that's because I agree.
Ukraine 🇺🇦 is already winning. xx
I think there should be a shout out of thanks to Turkey I think they're doing a good job living up to their part and trying to help Ukraine prevail
Excellent discussion. Thank you.
Excellent.
This war room has put my mind at ease.
"The moral is to the physical as three is to one." I'll be quoting that. Favorite show on any media or platform. Please keep it up.
Ukraine is going to win?
Not sure what "win" means in your dictionary, but I will be back to see you explain when Ukraine surrenders.
Thank you for an inspiring and enlightening conversation ☆
GREAT SHOW!
Optimistic and enlightening. This is a war that has to be won.
"Winning" does not mean what it used to mean.
This is just so terrifically good.
Love listening to you guys
This was a fascinating conversation, really enjoyed it

high, high caliber
Love this vid. Thanks for sharing 😂.
I just hope you folks are correct in your assessment of the situation. If not, America better look out, or there is going to be a catastrophe.
Mr. Cochrane didn't go into the 'economics of Russia,' i.e., Fossil Fuel sales to the EU and how the West is financing this Ukraine debacle.
Great commentary though,
Cheers and God bless.
Amazing show, thank you. Really felt for Ben as he looked exhausted towards the end.
Nobody wins
Great talk
You guys are great. Totally agree. Ben is bang on point.
Very interesting interaction, so appreciate the intelligence!!
"Let us have faith that right makes might."
Again, Excellent. Thank you!
Another good one! Thanks!
My favorite weekly podcast. Ben Hodges is probably a very distant relative, given our surnames !
Thanks for this discussion. And for some levity, the new Russian Navy ships will have clear bottoms so they can see the old Russian Navy ships.
Have we considered whether China is waiting in the wings to take advantage of putins losses.
I LOVE Ukraine!!!
Fantastically fantastic and so tremendously informative.
The most important things is to protect democracy - I agree with it 100%
A great conversation and deep analysis. Thank you gentlemen very much.
Such edifying discussion. Thank you gentlemen
what a great show congrats
I appreciate you’re overly optimistic assessment of the situation.
Plz have Peter Zeihan on as the guest.
Great show!👍👍👍 Now I have to wait two weeks for the next one? 😭
My hat goes for general Hodges 🎩. What a great professional 👍
A great discussion!
Appreciate the insights this group provides. Thank you

Draft HR McMaster for prez in 2024!!!
Thanks for this valuable discussion and insights.
1:30 in Germany we call it just Germany
To the Good Fellows.
Outstanding.
Very well thought of, as one would expect from a think-tank like Hoover Institute. Well done.
Thank you gentlemen for your very illuminating conversation.
Great show.
I am 85.
Great disappointment 1n much of the last 10 years.
Great discussion, very interesting!
Great talk, I was wondering about the supposed fearsome Wagner group. Has the Wagner group done a lot of damage?
Putin's already exhausted his army. Stands to reason why the Russians have had to try and recruit Syrian soldiers. xx
Ukraine has to take back Crimea to win.
Excellent ..real professional pundits ... Slava Ukraine
Very interesting discussion. McMasters had solid thoughts on production and procurement.

Great conversation
I don’t know, I’m not on the side of the Ukrainian government or people. The matrix is unraveling
Brilliant show!!! I want more.
it was a parking ticket
