Sometimes I forget you're a Christian, so it's nice to see you do stuff like this even if it doesn't get as many views as the normal videos! Keep up the great work.
Hey Sean! I’m also Christian and am going to go into youth ministry! I’ve been watching you for years, and I always love when you mention Christianity and your faith! It’s great that you aren’t afraid to make videos like this - keep up the good work!
Youth pastor here as well, Sean and I was able to meet to Chris Durban back in August at the Chosen Retreat. I also got to meet Dallas and some cast members of the series too. Meeting Chris Durban of Durbania was so exciting for me because I loved his page and his page is how I discovered you Sean and Cody Leach. Very cool interview Sean. Excited to watch all of it.
As an Episcopalian, as a Christian with a MDiv, as a father of LGBTQ kids and as a liberal, I have been struggling a lot lately. I have been having a “Cold War” with my brothers and sisters who are more evangelical. Dallas reminded me in this interview that in my attempt to be inclusive, I am actually being exclusive and shutting people like him out of “my tribe.” This truly was edifying. Thank you brother.
What a good talk, Dallas is great, bless him! I hope I can manage to see this soon. Some of my Christmas watch traditions are Journey To Bethlehem, Elf, Hawkeye.
Wow loved hearing how God answered Dallas’s answer to his prayer! Gods timing is always best so keep the faith and don’t give up your desires stay the course & stay strong 💕🐜🐝
To both you men thank you for this interview. We saw it last Saturday it was amazing there was not a dry eye in the six of use ( 4 grands ages 6-15) and left there feeling warm. The kids shared their life experience with us. We brought our granddaughters friend ( age 10) whom does not go to church enjoyed the movie and my hopes are we planted a seed on his little life! Thank you Dallas for Never giving up even in your & Amandas darkest days! So exciting watching God work in your life. Much love to you all💕🐜🐝
This movie brought me back to 1962 when a friends family ( we lived in St Louis at the time so we had lots of snow) took me to church and my mom Took me to the store to buy Church clothes which included a pair of Black Patent Leather Mary Jane shoes! I am 69 I have NEVER had that great memory in a long time or maybe never but I wanted to go to church I was so jealous of my friends who went to church. I was a cradle Catholic my parents did their job to keep my Italian grandparents quiet even though they were raised going to church they never took us! I am sure Dallas you will get thousands of stories like mine I sincerely Thank you & Amanda for your faithfulness to NEVER giving up in your pursuit of this movie💕💕🐜🐝
I've never read the book, but I grew up watching the old tv movie based on it every Christmas, and when I heard Dallas was remaking it, I couldn't wait to see it!
Awesome convo Sean! I remember recommending The Chosen to you a few years back. Glad you and Dallas were able to connect and talk about his latest project. 🎥
That’s so cool you got Dallas!! I love his show, I recommend it to everyone I know looking for a great Christian film/series I hope all goes well for him and the team. I know their having issues with Angel Studios which is a shame because I really admire the studio and what they do. Hopefully Everyone can sort it out amicably
Oh my goodness Sean I had only seen half of this on the first made my comment I have to add this was a great great great interview! You both were wonderful so proud of you Sean and truly cannot wait to see this movie and read the book. Love love❤

Congrats on the interview Sean! I'm a big fan of Dallas and The Chosen. Love all of your content, you are my go-to for movie reviews and anything cinema. Had no idea that you used to be a youth pastor! That is so awesome!
I wish you would do more Christian films. Like The Forge and Unsung Hero that came out earlier this year. Both are phenomenal films, you should check them out. Thanks!
After watching this interview, I went to my library to check out the book. The first thing I did was to check the first line of the first page, which says, "The Herdmans were the worst kids in the history of the world. They lied and stole and played with matches. They were so awful, you could hardly believe they were real." No mention of smoking or burning down a shed. Somewhere along the line, this version was toned down. The author is listed as the same person, so I don't know what happened. I went online and bought a copy of the book where the cover matches the one that Mr. Jenkins shows in the video. I want the real thing!
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout no to separate movies Sean Red One is Amazon's Christmas action movie and Bonhoeffer is angel studios biopic about the German pastor who stood against Hitler and the Nazis in order to save the German church in WW11
It is kind of interesting that this movie comes out the same day as Heretic. A Christian movie vs. a movie influenced by the followers of Satan. Ah, the duality of man
@SeanChandlerTalksAbout I love how you always have a sense of humor about things. I'm so happy seeing you and Cody do big things. You guys deserve every bit of your success, brother!!!
This is so great! Thanks again for the shoutout, and that was a great conversation with my boss.

I NEVER KNEW THAT!!!!!
🙏 😇
Going from interviewing the director of Terrifier 3 to this movie is quite the swing! Congrats Sean! You deserve it!
The irony was not lost on me at all
Haha
Praise the LORD for great filmmaking!

The crossover I didn’t know I needed. Way to go, Sean and Dallas!
There is NO REVENGE, only SALVATION! That is the message / meaning of Christmas, SALVATION!!!

The Chosen is so good!
My 6 year old niece and I went to see this movie last night and we both thought it was fantastic.

Thank you Sean for the tackling of this movie/interview! Please keep faith based reviews coming! The world truly needs it!
This is awesome. Glad you were able to do this interview.
Awesome to see you interviewing Dallas!
As a Sean fan and a Dallas fan, this is one of the greatest crossovers of all time.
I hope this is right up there with "It's a Wonderful Life"
He sold me from watching just the first trailer. But he definitely for sure did now. I’m so excited to see this!
❤️✝️🎄
Love this Sean! Very amazing interview. And so looking forward to season 5 of Chosen
I agree Paddington 2 is a modern masterpiece
I’m so confused, are we talking about the Bear movies here?!😂 I’ve never seen them!

Just bought the book, thanks for introducing me to this story!
Our family got to see a prescreening of this movie and my children loved it! (As did we). Thanks for covering this on your channel Sean!

Yep for 8 years. I’m still at the same church and help with the teenagers from time to time.

I love this!!!
Children smoking cigars is nothing like they do now!! That’s very tame. Great movie!!
when will you get around to putting a review out Sean?
Tomorrow. I wanted to do the interview first because I want to incorporate portions into the review.
@SeanChandlerTalksAbout that makes sense
you should also review Bonhoeffer pastor spy assassin and Red One
@@snowman6199 Bonhoeffer was the Red One?

great video!
Fun fact: Jenkins was the executive producer for my dad's friend's movie The Shift last year
If you're a fan of A Christmas Story this is up your alley.
24:50 *“They smoke cigars ☝️😐”* 😂
Be honest this movie looks way better than Red One
