Beautyfull car This cars are bullit proof I have 3 of them 200 ,230 kompressor and a 320 only issue is is the rust.,Mercedes don.t make quality cars like this anymore...I.m dreaming of the AMG 55 in my collection,,,
I picked up my 98 clk320 in Dec of 2000 from my neighbor for $1100...same color as yours & with the original rims, no rust at all. Its got 181,000 now, recently replaced the same parts you did as well as a new radiator. My first Mercedes, and i love it like my own child...i may have a source for acquiring the rims your looking for, will check next week and let ya know if it pans out. Thanks for the video!
The CLK w208 is Litteraly the most underrated car ive never seen, great reliability and beautiful look, i have also the blue qwartz congratulations for yours!!
I just bought a roadworthy CLK430 soft top for two weeks wages. It has problems and would probably cost me near the same again if I wanted it properly clean and all working but as it is it's a helluva lot of vehicle for the money.
Took My CLK W209 to Mercedes World UK with 250,000 miles on the Clock they told me “ its good for another 250,000 , leather drivers seat a bit shiny but not damaged ,
I have a 2002 C209, it's been a great car despite some electrical issues. I should get the transmission serviced because it's doing some weird things, but can't afford to even fuel it right now 🗿 Also mine doesn't have a sunroof, which is weird considering it was sold new in Italy.
I have a 2005 e320 but I'm definitely going to get a '98-'00 Clk320 Solid German Engineering. Just watch out for rust. Eventually the electrical items on my '05 will be too expensive to maintain and I can fall back on the CLK.
W-208 CLK have super aggressive looks. You should slap on an OM-606 Diesel and this beast will be complete. The W-209 CLK-220 CDi that I have are tame in comparison.
Do you not feel like the CLK is kind of cramped? I own a W124 coupé and I did check out a W208 CLK 430 once as a potential second Benz, but I almost felt claustrophobic in there compared to my C124. I don't know how much space the W210 has inside, but I would imagine it's close to the W124 as opposed to the CLK, which is on a C-Class platform.
@@MrReese I’m 6’4 and I wouldn’t describe the car as claustrophobic. Tons of headroom and abundant legroom for the driver. I think that coming from a W124 you’re going to feel like any newer car is claustrophobic simply because windows have gotten smaller, belt lines have gotten higher, and visibility has gotten worse as the years go on.
@@uncouver What I distinctly remember is that the width of the interior space just felt so much narrower, it was like the door was so close to me that I could barely move. I am not a big guy, but I am so used to the interior space of my C124 that it felt uncomfortable as a driver in the W208. I don't mind it when I am just a passenger, it's like whatever, but when owning the car I need to feel comfortable in it.
What a gorgeous-looking car and I love the color. You got yourself a steal! These cars are solid and super-easy to work on.
Couldn't agree more!
You really did good, This model is super underrated and yours is in fantastic condition and has the M112 V6, Very nice brother!

Definitely put the original rims back, agree that they are handsome on the car
Cool find, definitely worth fixing those couple of rust spots before they get any worse and get a set of original wheels, nice colour.

Literally just bought a 99 CLK 430 from my mechanic for $1000. Can’t wait to get started working on it.
Love my ‘07 CLK550 Coupe
I'm just wondering what rims are on the car, they are so beautiful

i am nit satisfied with the look of the stock rims, replaced them with 17inch often seen on the cl w215

I've owned the car for 2 years now and not had a single issue with it.

I have this car in the 4.3 l v8 engine and the colour is azurite blue. One of the cheapest v8 rwd cars on the market. If only it had a manual gearbox.
hi from eugine
2700 canadian dollers ?!
I have the exact same car but its a C208, its weird because every other ive seen is W208 :DDD
but looking fire, mine has seen a little more life HAHA
W208 is actually incorrect, it's either C208 or A208.
W means 4-door sedan, C means coupe, A means 4-seater convertible.
If that is the only rust you find than you have bought a beauty. However, the 208 is very prone to rot.
got same car but convertible
Got exact same 👌 but nicer is Aus
I wonder why they r underated
like so like
c'mon preppy tis A BENZ!
4 cripes sake!
i have this car
