#splatoon3 #drizzleseason #newweapons
Gem was feeling spicy when he decided to make todays intro
I wish splatoon was around for the days of MLG edits lol
Yeah that edit was heavy
Yeah it was pretty heavily edited
@@ctpp64The first one was kind of
10/10 intro
Comedy gold
Gem has officially obtained "hip" with the kids, backwards caps and W intros
quite hip swagger and chill
“I just want everyone to see the team comps the game came up with.”
the pain of back-lining in solo queue, where the game decides the best weapons to put you with are your own weapon!
(the fact that i’ve had triple tri-stringer team comps in series, more than once, hurts)
As a hydra main, I know the feeling.
But the heavy edit isn’t really a backliner, so no more of that pain.
Facts.
I have this same problem all the time with Explo, I swear it happens every time I'm 2-2 in Series/x battle
happens in turf war too, gotta love wanting to try out an e-liter in turf and being paired with two splat chargers against a team with two brushes and two aerosprays
man im a front liner with machine, and i get paired with three other backliners, i cant all by myself in the frontlines :(
It's range is similar to a nautilus, not a heavy. It's runspeed is insanely fast though, basically identical to the mini even when charging
it is mini's mobility exactly has the same rsu curve even (which is the highest of the whole class)
And it’s max charge time is slightly longer then hydras (from what I’m getting from this)
@@AquariumAA69 no it’s faster hydra is like 210 frames edit is 120 or something like that I don’t remember hydra’s charge time in frames
@@mrlag3886that’s what it said it the patch note though, it’s going to have a slow charge time but a really fast fire rate at max charge.
@@AquariumAA69 it's how it is always phrased data miners have already found the numbers on everything last night when it dropped
I don't know if y'all noticed (slightly off-topic?) but the japanese version of the game says "Thank you!" when they grab a cooler drink...wish the western one did, it looks cute qwq
Or maybe they could've spiced things up by adding different dialogue like "Yummy!" or "Tasty!" that it randomly cycles between too
@@niksooxyz Exactly! They always kinda say the same one word, even though the booyah sound they use changes
I just treat booyahs as thank you
When you grab a drink in the English you say “Refreshing”.
this thing is gonna be insanely fun
You've been holding out on your (heavy) editing skills! That intro was insane!
The Heavy Edit stats shows that it has about the same range as the Splattershot Pro, making it the second shortest ranged Splatling in the game rn. It’s charge time is slower than Ballpoint’s but faster than Hydra’s by a little bit, and it’s mobility is as high as the Mini Splatling’s mobility.
In using it a little, yeah it fires noticeably faster at max. Its range does not change, though. It actually kills really fast with a quarter second of charge, so getting the drop on people close range can be super useful, although you'd rather not be there in the first place. I'm not very good with splatlings so take this with a grain of salt. Or a pinch.
Okay more like a tablespoon.
3:53 So, if Heavy Edit gets reliable amounts of Tacticooler, all N-Zaps become Splattershots.
Interesting...
Hiya! I just wanna say gg for that match! I was peace4rose! 🥰
Man that intro joke got me good
And now we know it’s INSANELY busted, but SO much fun. It has 3 different firing durations, 2 firing speeds, and just feels like you Melt people when you look at them
This weapon alone has made up 54% of my playtime since the season began - and I one-tricked wiper last few months
The high-speed fire rate matches Ballpoint’s a 3 frames per shot, but even the “slower” fire rate of 4 frames per shot (an identical kill time to the Heavy & Nautilus still can shred people really well - I’ve gotten really good at using partial charges over the last few days to stop people rushing me down
It’s essentially the kill time of either a Hydra or Heavy, with the range of the Nautilus
I love it
Truly the best intro to any video I’ve seen lol
"free your shooter from zap jail" I LIKE BEING THE ONE WITH COOLER! IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD! DON'T JUDGE MEEEEEEE
I remember being in a total stalemate in clam blitz where i was playing heavy edit. No team had scored and we were in overtime for a full minute. I happened to get close to the basket but i was still way out range for a shot and people started firing on me from behind. Popped that curling bomb, got the super clam on the way to the basket because of a stray clam in the way and launched right as i was splatted. Thankfully hit dead on and got won the game as i died. One of my most hype moments I've had in Sploon3
3:50 that part made me tip the scale to sub XD
As a Splatling main I screamed when I saw this thing! It's gonna be so much fun to play!!
YOU KILLED ME WITH THAT EDITING IN THE BEGINNING I LOVE YOU GEM 😹😹😹
I actually found this weapon pretty awkward to use in practice. It has to charge almost as long as a Hydra to access its higher damage, but it's constantly playing at the range where blasters can contest it, bombs can disrupt it, and because it can't really play like a backliner and use their perches, it even has to deal with ground-based flank routes, specials like Reefslider that don't normally threaten backliners, incidental paint being thrown behind it, and other things that the Mini and Nautilus have to deal with. The curling bomb is absolutely indispensable for when you get your feet inked and need to back up to charge again, but it's very, very ink-intensive.
I think it's hands-down better than Mini, but Nautilus still feels stronger as a main weapon because of how it can be so much more of a constant threat as it moves around. Naut also has a huge jump accuracy edge over it that mitigates the cooler jump accuracy advantage. Heavy Edit is still good if you want cooler, though!
Ahahaha I get it, heavy edit. Proceeds to heavily EDIT the intro
So it's basically portable crab tank without the alt shot.
Love the intro😭😭
3:51 I had to laugh at this a little because my team's zap player the second heavy edit was revealed and he saw the kit declared he was going to main it (we already have a ballpoint and a nautilus player). So for my team our cooler player just got freed from shooter jail, and now we have to figure out who else might get put in shooter jail.
My catalogue says it expires 7:00 PM, August 31st, so yes.
What was that opening edit? I think that’s the first time you’ve done something like that. I like it but man was it unexpected.
The "heavy edit" splatling
I see. @@Nikowo1610
Ok the intro is pretty funny
Gotta say That intro was banger
And Im gonna play it ANYWAYS
I took real psychic damage from that intro
I'm a big splatling fan, and though i dont think this one is for me after playing it, im excited to see how other people do!
That intro was kinda hype tho
I heard that heavy is suppose to fire faster than all splatlings but has a very long charge. I read it on their insta
Gem says no to datamined footage
Apparently edit has 190p special, and damn I’ll take that
while japan is a big market for splatoon, its more useful to look at the schedule in terms of UTC. everything so far (splatfests, season changes, boundaries for "first win of the day", etc) has been midnight UTC, so i imagine theres pretty much zero chance theyll break the pattern when its already that arbitrary and impartial.
I want to die because of that intro
i hate splatling but i’m definitely going to main this
Releasing a video speculating about what the gimmick could be on a weapon that was completely datamined and exhibited yesterday. A timely video, Gem.
instant meta
I've been maining Nautilus for a while, this is absolutely gonna be brought out when my team doesn't have a zap
The thumbnail is not filling me with hope :(
With what people have been able to see, it's looking good. The thumbnail's leaning towards a bit of teacher humor
Imagine if heavy edits second kit name would be "MLG edit splatling"
How did people already get their hands on the new season weapons? I saw a ProChara vid last night of him watching someone else's stream and the other person was using Heavy Edit. I assume his friend lives in another region, or was using a different region for his Switch. But does the season also drop on the last day of the ending season, rather than on the first day of the new season? 'Cause it definitely wasn't September in other regions yet at the time ProChara's stream was uploaded
There was a dataminer who was hacking to get the data that was in the game but locked into a playable state in the training room
Heavy edit actually made me like splatlings
Bro that new splatling was made by Heavy from...
I call it The Redactor! Cuz that's what your ass is gonna be if I use it against you!
. . .
**AND LIVE!** -splatted anyway -
1st I need that song from the intro
2nd I’m looking forward to the new weapons and my new Brush. Even though the new brush looks insanely bad but hey maybe it’ll work out
Song title's been in the description
Aw, no Nallpoint impressions?
What was that intro
It was epic
It was heavily edited
It was examined

@@teh201dLmao
What grade do you teach 🤔
this tuck 2 days to edit ;_;
Its partial fire rate is not slow at all. It's still faster than most weapons in the game. Preview footage is really laggy and misleading
man, a problem with these splatoon videos is that I get so absorbed in the gameplay, resulting in me not paying attention to the narrator. I've done this on prochara's video about the new slosher weapon and many other splatoon videos. Need more informative visuals!!
this ain't about the video at all but just know i feel for you on the game's often confusing choices of team comps.
Gem rushing the content a lil 😬
I dont think this weapon will be a good painter at all. How effectively a splatling paints isnt just about its output when firing, but the ratio of charge time to fire duration. The biggest reason mini paints so well is it fires over 2.8 times as long as it charges. Heavy fires about 2 times as long, heavy edit lookes like it only gires for 1.5 times as long, meaning lots of downtime.
I'm sorry I was αρριε ツ I bagged the other apple because I've seen them before haha I wanted to be friends definitely not now! Gg tho! I'm famous :DD
Your thesis is vague, and your quote blending is clunky.
Worst intro ive seen in my life
