Not really just your passport as deposit. But if you have one it’ll be good. I just have passport and it was okay 👍
Do we require international driving license to drive rented scooter in Krabi? Will the police check for driving license?
It purely depends on luck of police will catch you. But no they didn’t ask for any license or international permit. But yes if you can get one you’d be rest assured.
Do they accept cash deposit instead of depostiting the passport?
Yes they do but it’s 2000 Baht.
IDP is compulsory in Thailand but in krabi comparatively less police checkpoint than phuket so u can take risk but thai police is so corrupt so if u have idp then also they try to take money so its all about luck
Very true IDP is required even Krabi had some checks but overall if you drive safely they dont bother but it purely depends on one’s luck that day.
