I just found your channel and I love that you’re a “slow” reader and tell us how much time it takes you to read your pages. I’m such a slow reader so it’s so disheartening when everyone on booktube is like “2 hours in and I finished the book” and it takes me 6+ hours to read a book lol so thank you for being you 💙
i feel the same way :) i’ve always been a slow reader and reading more books didn’t increase that a lot, so its so refreshing and validating to see something relatable and realistic

It takes me about a minute to read a page so about 6.5 hours to read a 400 page book. I feel like people who read significantly faster than that must just be skimming and not fully processing what they’re reading. (I also like to annotate so that makes it take a little longer to get through a book)
when you said it took you 3 hours to read 100 pages i was like FINALLY! a booktuber that doesn’t read insanely fast. i get kind of overwhelmed and discouraged when i watch stuff like this and they finish like 300 pages in two hours

You shouldn't feel discouraged by how many time it takes for you to finish a book. You read for yourself and no one else so you should be proud of how many hours it takes for you to finish

you felt more asleep most likely because you weren’t in contact with the blue light caused from devices like your phone reading and doing other activities before doing to bed actually helps sleep better in a way :]
