You could buy book nooks, they add so much atmosphere. Perhaps a few minor decorations that can be associated with the books. I for instance have a miniature globe and some nautical accessories next to my Jules Verne books.

A few days ago I bought and build 2 Billy bookshelves. Then I stood in my room for 2 hours, because I didn't know how to organize my bookshelf. I decided on age and genre. Middle grade non fiction, middle grade fantasy etc. Then young adult non fiction and young adult fantasy etc. And then adult non fiction, adult fantasy etc.

You are like my favorite TH-camr currently and I love all of the genres you love (currently trying to branch out😬keyword: trying) I organized my bookshelf by author which is really nice when you have books from the same series but I also kind of want to organize my bookshelf by tallest to shortest because of my HUGE twilight saga books compared to my small mystery novels. Organizing bookshelf’s is such a calming activity and I definitely agree with you that it’s going to become a monthly thing (it makes me feel so accomplished idk) I love your videos!
I would definitely put books or knick nacks on the sides. And I would suggest moving the shelf a few inches to the right. So it’s not right on the corner.
I have two bookshelves on is technically not book shelf but it’s small so I use it for all my read books and all my unread books are in order of page number.So my unread shelf is page number if it’s a series the complete series in order after the first book then a Harry Potter book after each series cause I’ve only read the first book then it continues with page number

You don’t need to screw it into the wall. This “option” comes with most of the shelf’s and is just a choice for yourself. There’s no necessary to do it.

actually you totally don’t have to read the shadow and bones trilogy to read the six of crows books. i read the first book of shadow and bones, wasnt a fan. moved on to the soc series and its one of my favorite fantasy books now. theres no spoilers or anything that span through the two series so you don’t have to worry, they just take place in the same world. ik the six of crows series is the more beloved out of the two series but some have enjoyed the shadow and bones books as well :)
