Wow! I have a trike VERY similar to this. Probably the same thing, except I have a larger wider fender up front. I see there are no bearings in the headset. My forks seem to be pushed back. Wobbly for sure. Rear tires are wobbly on that rear axle. I don't see how they fit tighter after your cleanup. Snapping your fingers again? My front pedal/axle is wobbly too. Looks like you found new hardware to attach front wheel to fork. Again, the fork magically gets tight after cleanup? Very nice!! This was my bike, and my grandson was over the house and started riding the trike all wobbly as it is! So now that I see him riding it, I feel like "trying" to do what you did here. Thanks a lot for the video.

Interesting background sounds! I'd like to see your helper climb on and take it for a spin!

That's how the wheels got like that in the first place. Big kids ruining little kids toys. I cringe every time I see it happening.

Great video. Fantastic restoration! I've been meaning to restore my old tricycle , it's a similar model. Too rusted. Needs a lot of elbow grease to bring it back to its former glory. It has sentimental value.
    Good job,
Btw the background sound on this video is a bit distracting .Lol.

Same. I have a 50's trike I'm restoring for my young'n... it's a different model but the wheels look the same! The ones on it are irreparable so I'd love to know if I can get some

That AMF label and the hex bolts/brackets that connect the body tube to the rear step and axle were used in the mid-to-late 1980s.

Is it possible to remove the tires from the rim ??

    • @motoforlyfe

I am unsure. I did not attempt to remove them due to them being rather hard from age.

Used stock bearings, they're just nylon bushings that seemed to still be in decent shape.
