    I actually remember riding mine with my brother around our neighborhood - that was about a hundred years ago.
    Really nice job, friend!

    I had a tricycle just like that one. Had in the garage for years. I restored it for my daughter and it was a real pain taking it apart. She love it! It was red and white. New wheels and new hand grips with ribbons. You did a great job! Thanks for the memories.👍👍

    Have restored 4 now and am on my 5th one. If they are complete bikes it is quite simple to do for beginners. The most work is when the bikes are not complete or badly damaged or severely rusted.Restoring these ones as mentioned give me the most pleasure when they are complete. Taking your time is the secret, no time limit is the way.I make new pedals out of serrated decking timber then paint them black ,they look fantastic,any damaged tyres are remodeled using black sikaflex glue to fill in missing bits then reshaped and painted

    Beautiful job restoring that tricycle. I have several old trikes myself to restore dating from the 1930s to 1950s. Been collecting and researching them since about 1990, and can identify most vintage trikes by design features if the head badge name is missing. Not sure what name was on the head badge decal on yours, but it was actually made by Midwest/MTD and dates to about 1960, give or take a year or two. The shape of the steel seat is one unique design of MTD (parent company to Midwest). Looks like it could have been badged with a store brand name and sold through a chain store, which US tricycle makers did a lot of back then. MTD is still around and makes lawn mowers today.

    For your first attempt at powder coating, I'd say it's perfect! Well done 🙂

    How do you do tire replacement? I keep seeing the restorations but no one ever covers the removal or tire replacement. Can you just get the rubber to replace? Do you have to buy the entire wheel? Can you usually buy the whole thing?

    • @alexchronicles7597
      @alexchronicles7597  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You pretty much have to replace the whole thing sometimes depends on the conditions on the parts and most all the time we need to cut parts from the video so it doesn’t go to long

    Silly question but it's been difficult finding tires. I have a 45 year old AMF junior I'm getting ready to restore for my 2 year old. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!!

      Chad Rector hi thy do come in different style but I’m pretty sure that if type in the parts that you are looking for on google you can find pretty much what you need some times you may don’t find it like brand new but in good condition
