QNTAL (founded in 1991) are a German project that combines traditional medieval music with electronic influences - and I've also been loving them for decades already. No surprise as I've been active in the German dark scene for a long time and they're pretty well-known among Goths! You should definitely check out more of their discography, their sound is pretty unique and you'll come across a plethora of magic and enchantment! And of course I can't end this comment without talking about Ernst Horn, who was a founding member of Qntal and who is a music legend because of his work in DEINE LAKAIEN - another enigmatic band you have to check out ASAP, my friend!🖤✨️🌙

This was great. I'm finding myself very drawn to music like this more and more lately. Definitely will be checking out more Qntal. Thanks to the Patreon, and you Tommy for another discovery.

What a great reaction! Qntal truly is one of my favorite groups of all time. I’m excited to embark on this journey with you. We have a song from each of their nine studio albums and one song from their “best of” album to get through. Can’t wait to see you enjoy them through the years.

Beautiful.....simply Beautiful. Vocals were obviously the star of the show here, but you can't sleep on the music either. Even though it's really subtle,I very much enjoyed it.

What a rare sight! A Qntal-reaction! They are my favourite German non-metal band, together with Helium Vola. The latter often sound somewhat similar to Qntal (on their first two albums), which is most likely due to the fact that Ernst Horn founded Helium Vola after he had left Qntal after their second album. Unlike Qntal, many songs of Helium Vola also feature clean male vocals, though they also have a female lead singer, Sabine Lutzenberger, who is a classically trained mezzo-soprano specializing in medievel music. My favourite songs by Helium Vola are "Selig", "In lichter Farbe steht der Wald", "Omnis mundi creatura", "Fama tuba", "Veni, veni" and "Dies Ire". The lyrics of both Qntal and Helim Vola are in different languages, often in Middle High German and Latin, but also in (ancient) French, English and a few others. The most "popular" song by Qntal is probably "Palästinalied" from their second album "II". The lyrics of the latter are in Middle High German, written by Walther von der Vogelweide about 800 years ago. The melody can be traced back to the first half of the 14th century, but it is unknown if it's the original one. Qntal's very electronic and sometimes harsh musical arrangement sounds very modern, though.

I love this band! I discovered them in a random playlist while in college. I've gotten nearly all their albums since. One of my favorite songs of theirs (and the one that hooked me onto them) is Indiscrete. It's a more hard hitting song (sound-wise), so you might like to give it a go.

Qntal are amazing.. ten albums in and they’ve never dipped in quality, if anything they’ve got better as they’ve went on. Their sister project Estampie is well worth checking out too, it’s a more acoustic take on Qntals sound. Try the songs Bluomenrot or Summerwunne for good examples.

I beg of you, react to Qntal - Palestinalied. As @elendil_lehtinen said, they have been loved by goths for quite a while. Palestinalied is a club hit, it hits differen't and has a very catchy rythm!

@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Actually their song Ad Mortem Festinamus was the one I was thinking of which I wanted to see you react to. The other also got played at clubs but its more like the one in this video. Ad Mortem is faster and dancy.
