Im actually a sponsored driver for a few RC companies. I’d say the best axles to run are stock Axial SCX10II axles, you can also beef up the internals a bit.
If you have plenty of cash it's hard to beat vanquish axles.Paul should check out the Vanquish Phoenix rock crawler rc kit.The Fj body on it looks alot like his full size one.
@@sacredsquirrel2112 I believe what he has there is the equivalent of an scx10 (1:10 scale) the scx24 is a lot smaller. 1:10 scale is what most scale trucks are but those 1:24 scale rigs are fun as hell, I have a crazy built scx24 that I built from scratch and it’s a little monster. I prefer 1.9” wheels myself.

Honestly I fear they are burning valuable time with Ed 84 and still smoking, they don't have years to finish this. Should have put the Jeeps on hold to get this DONE!
I like patina but it depends what car it is and how bad patina is I seen patina so bad it look like it will fall apart driving it down the road. and sometimes I think people like doing patina its cheap way out not painting a car. and you will get way more looks with a nice paint job than a car has rust and rut (patina), and there no reason get a nice paint job to a rock crawler but you need to prime raw steel

BTW, try Penetrol instead of WD to give a sheen that lasts more than 5 minutes. Or, the old school NYPD trick for parade limos: 50:50 mix of kerosene and water. Shake, wipe on wipe off.

I’m instested in the deeper reason you dropped the temp on the motor it my understanding the newer motors lik to be hot. I’ve personally alway believed a motor will last longer at a cooler temp.
Paul, Rather than use WD40 which will wear off fairly quickly. Try a mix of linseed oil and mineral spirits. I use a 50/50mix here in Indiana it lasts about 2 years. I can spray mud and dust off and it preserves the "Natural" look. I spray it on with an old cleaner bottle the wipe it off. Hope that helps. As always love the content and how you share. God Bless!

I have never broken an axle on my rc crawlers and I run big tires too. From the video it looks like you bent the pin where the hex hub goes on, get aluminum hex hubs instead of the stock plastic ones and that should stop happening

RC PARTS - Some of the best RC Crawler drivetrain parts - Locked UP RC I've been running their F1 spools, axels, outdrives, tranny parts pretty much everything they have, and haven't broken anything. I run Tekin ROC 412 and RX4 ESC on 3S I have the ESC and my throttle on my radio tuned for low-speed torque... I haven't broken any Locked UP RC parts. The weak point for me is CVD's I just rebuild them every few runs and they don't break.
Air lockers are indeed awesome. The Electric lockers magnetics seem like a good idea, until one remembers all the little pieces of metal that are floating around in a differential. It is perfectly normal stuff, but having it all accumulated on an electromagnet actuator is not a good idea. I'm liking the cable-actuated more and more. The Jeep Giveaway on Hollie's Mischief Maker channel was scammed too. I got a notice that I had won and just had to pay shipping. So it is widespread assholes. I love that you took "Grandpa" for a trail ride. Please advise Michelle that most video editors allow flipping the footage so your Yota isn't right-hand drive. I bet you won't see another FJ like yours at Easter Jeep Safari. It is unique and awesome.

Hey Paul, Huge fan of your channel and your videos! Could I get some advice? My dad has a Jeep Cherokee (KJ) '03 Model - 2.5CRD engine but it drives a bit rough. Any recommendations on how to get a softer and smoother ride out of her? I don't want to order just anything off of google's recommendations because I personally trust your opinion over anyone else's, and not just that, I'm based in Cape Town, so getting parts for this particular year model isn't the easiest thing nor is it the quickest. Oh and any advice on injector replacements as well? There's currently the standard Bosch injectors but they keep messing around so I was hoping for some aftermarket ones that would boost performance as well a bit. Please get back to me when you can. I love your channel, your videos and your team and family. FYI, your channel is the main reason I come to TH-cam these days! Keep up the great work!

Green scrubbies will scratch the sh*t out of pretty much everything; glass, metal, plastic, paint. Blue scrubbie is what you want. It's very effective but "non-scratch". Also, don't use the green scrubbies on your dishes unless you hate your dishware.

With having to add a compressor & the problems eith air leaks why don't more people use electric lockers instead?
The compressor is used to service tires and other things on the trail.
The natural patina is a great look! It's better than paint and perfectly fits Paul's personality!
Its my understanding boiled linseed oil is the way to seal in the patina and prevent additional rust.

Litthle tip , if you use pb blaster instead of wd dirt wont stick to it WD is oil based and captures dirt, blaster is silicone based and repels it

RC PARTS - Some of the best RC Crawler drivetrain parts - Locked UP RC I've been running their F1 spools, axels, outdrives, tranny parts pretty much everything they have, and haven't broken anything. I run Tekin ROC 412 and RX4 ESC on 3S I have the ESC and my throttle on my radio tuned for low-speed torque... I haven't broken any Locked UP RC parts. The weak point for me is CVD's I just rebuild them every few runs and they don't break.
Air lockers are indeed awesome. The Electric lockers magnetics seem like a good idea, until one remembers all the little pieces of metal that are floating around in a differential. It is perfectly normal stuff, but having it all accumulated on an electromagnet actuator is not a good idea.
I'm liking the cable-actuated more and more.

Get some "sound deadening and heat barrier" mats, you could always put some on the firewall to help with the heat. Summit has some for pretty cheap (TCX-TZA12-0SV24) 24"x12".

Unfortunately it is not likely TH-cam is going to fix the comment scam/spam comments problem anytime soon. More comments = more traffic = better metrics = more $ they can charge advertisers. The spam comments increase TH-cam's profit.

Could I get some advice? My dad has a Jeep Cherokee (KJ) '03 Model - 2.5CRD engine but it drives a bit rough. Any recommendations on how to get a softer and smoother ride out of her? I don't want to order just anything off of google's recommendations because I personally trust your opinion over anyone else's, and not just that, I'm based in Cape Town, so getting parts for this particular year model isn't the easiest thing nor is it the quickest.
Oh and any advice on injector replacements as well? There's currently the standard Bosch injectors but they keep messing around so I was hoping for some aftermarket ones that would boost performance as well a bit.

Green scrubbies will scratch the sh*t out of pretty much everything; glass, metal, plastic, paint. Blue scrubbie is what you want. It's very effective but "non-scratch". Also, don't use the green scrubbies on your dishes unless you hate your dishware.
You detailed the rock climber the same way Larry at AMMO NYC would recommend... except for the Comet, the green pad and the WD-40!
