Don’t listen to the people who say don’t sew over a needle cause we all do it sometimes lol we don’t always have time to stop and take it out! I love this great job!
We should never use the foot controller or start button to sew over pins but use the handwheel to slowly walk over pins if they must stay in. Sewing over pins fast is for people who have replacement machine money lying around and extra eyeballs to lose. Edit: I also worked for a sewing machine company, and we never advised to sew over pins because if you cause damage to the machine, chat voids the manufacturer warranty. The cost of repair 9/10 is at least the cost of the machine. I have enough professional, personal, and entrepreneurial experience to say that machine sewing over pins is not the best practice, but again, your money, your needles, your eyeballs, your machine. I won't lose a thing by anyone damaging their own property. I lend my machines to no one.
I love watching your videos. I always wanted to design and I’m finally getting the courage to do it. You go into details which I loveeeee! Thanks for sharing 🩷
Thank you so much for watching and your encouraging words. I truly appreciate it!! You can do itt! Try with some inexpensive fabric. Let me know if you need anything 💕💕
Beautiful dress! Could you explain more about the top part of the dress? How was the side boob part sew on with the mesh? I guess I’m thinking if I didn’t do a side boob piece and only trace out mesh for the front piece and a different fabric for the back piece would it make a difference if it’s long enough to be sewn together? I hope I’m asking that right lol 😭
Thank youuu 💕! Send me a dm on IG, i’ll show you a visual of how I did the side boob coverage. But I don’t understand the second part of the question lol
Hello. How did u measure out the side boob cover-up for the bodice . I saw u put. 1/2 inch seam allowances on the side . Can u explain how you did that.
I’m trying to figure out how much tulle I’ll need if I bought the 6 inch rolls instead of the bolts. I bought one bolt to see if the color matched the fabric. Did each bolt give you 9 six inch strips since the bolts are 54 inches? Then I can calculate how many 6 inch rolls to buy. I’m trying to cut corners
@@taylerdcreations so I try to sew the tulle onto the skirt. I guess I didn’t mark the lines correct. I can see the fabric. I mark 4” because the tulle was bigger.
Hey, I bought the templates so I didn't have to stress that. But if you search circle skirts tutorial, that should help. Instead if using the waist measurement, use the above knee measurement to help you. I have this screenshot that may help, dm me on IG.

Lol, thank you so much!! Yeah im definitely going to continue do that lol, it makes things easier sometimes. Thanks for watching!
I done broke to many needles tryna do it how I see them do it😭
If you put the pins perpendicular to the stitching they never break, the machine needle just glides over them

Send me a dm, and I can send you a visual of how I did it! Thanks for watchinggg 💕💕
This is beautiful! What type of mesh do you use? Is it doubled or just a single layer?
Thank youuuu, I used illusion mesh. Just one layer.
Oh wait are you talking about the pink tulle or the nude mesh
I love the dress!! I love how you put the top design so much. Is there a petticoat underneath the skirt part?
Thank you!! No, theres no petticoat, but thats a good idea
Beautiful’ how did you cut out fabric for side boob coverage ?
Thank you!! I cut my bodice into 2 pieces and used ine side for mesh and the other for velvet. Send me a dm an instagram and I can send you a video.
Soo pretty, did you use stretch mesh for the front?
Thank you! Yes, I used stretch mesh
@@taylerdcreations Is that the same as the Illusion mesh?
New sub. Where can i purchase that style dress form? Amazon has the adjustable one's but i heard they infold in themselves.
Thank you for subscribing 💕 I got it from The Shop Company.
Looks Great! How much tulle did you use?
Thanks for watching! It was so long ago lol, I think I used 3. But I had made some mistakes with one of them.
Can you explain how do you take the measurements for a bodice?
I do the bust & waist. Shoulder to bust and bust to waist

Thank you so much and for the great video!!
Is the train a 360 circle or double? Lovely work….
I don’t think it’s a 360 but I actually have no idea lol. I cut 2 pieces though
It's two half circles sewn together to create a full 360 circle.
Lovely, how did you placed the applique? Glued or stitched?
I hand sewed it on
Thank you!! ❤️
Pls how many yards of net,so lovely
I believe I used 3 bolts, thank you!
I folded mine twice it came out one full circle. What should I do for two pieces?
Twice in the same direction?? You can either cut it in half or cut another piece exactly like it

Hey is it hard to make prom dresses ? 😭
No it’s not hard, this one is tedious. Requires a lot of time and patience
How do you know how much material to order to include a train
The longer you want the train the more fabric you’ll need. I did 40 inches all the way around. I used 7.5 yards for everything
