Nah their technique is horrible. Way too much risk of damaging an old rug like let. Read my other comment. As a professional cleaner 35+ years' experience. I would never hire these guys. They will damage your property to clean it. That's not right.

How can a carpet get so filthy? Was it left in the sewers or urinals? I mean these carpets are very expensive to purchase, surely the owners would have better cared for the carpet.
I suppose to the people who own it it’s a utilitarian object and not an object of art or beauty, so as thing with a practical purpose it has a hard life. I also don’t know where these carpet cleaning fellows or their clients are, perhaps, the environment leads to many rugs being immersed in flood water or mud or sewage?

Most of the strangely dirty carpets have been used by their owners in workplaces and public places. Many carpets are used by the owner in the garden for weekend cleaning, but they are not properly maintained and many are used at work and outdoors. Some of the carpets that come to our center are due to flood damage, and some are due to sewage overflow damage

there are millions of people in the world who don't have water to drink, to wash, to cook and liters and liters of water are wasted to wash a carpet!!!! how many people could have drunk, washed, cooked with all this waste?
