    asetto corsa is at pair with simulators f1 constructors use, that's how precise and detailed it is. some constructors in gt series use acc for their car tuneups and driver practices

      Thanks! I was definitely not aware that the Constructors in GT sometimes use ACC! I'm now even more impressed :)

      I thought AC was build off a, I think, Ferrari simulator engine

    It shows what an amazing job that RSS have done in recreating the car in AC vs the big budget licenced F1 2021 game from CM. Lap times in AC vs F1 2021 are so much more comparable to the real thing. Not bad for a 7 year old game and a great modding community.

    • @SimRacingFun
      @SimRacingFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That's it exactly. I'm still amazed by how this game is so much better than many other sims out there. And F1 2021 still hasn't managed to include VR Support, which is a real miss if you ask me.

    • @Buzzard177

      @@SimRacingFun I read somewhere (and it's probably just bad speculation) that AC2 (due 2024) will not have VR support. This would be a tragedy if there's any truth to the rumour.
      Mind you, if you've seen the ULTRA GRAPHICS RESHADE (check out the YT channel if you haven't seen it) stuff, I can't see a reason how AC2 could surpass AC with SOL and the custom shader mods. Now if they chose to build them directly into the product and make it easily accessible to the average racer, then it's game over for everyone else I'd have thought.

    • @SimRacingFun
      @SimRacingFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Buzzard177 I have not yet seen the Ultra Graphics Reshade, so will check that out. If they don't include VR, it would be a complete disaster. VR has improved so much in the last few years that it's really the way to go. I get much more immersion with my headset on compared to a three monitor setup, which is not only more expensive but also a much bigger setup and thus less practical for most people to put in their homes.

      @@SimRacingFun Out of interest, were the tyre compounds in both cars the same? So did you use the C4 on your lap or the C5?

    • @SimRacingFun
      @SimRacingFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Buzzard177 Good point! I actually used the C5's, so that may also account for some of the higher turn speeds.

    Fun fact: I've lapped this circuit back in the day in its final stages of construction, before any F1 driver ever did - in a _bus_ of all things xD

    what I find most impressive is the ceiling for the last 4 formula hybrids is incredibly close to the performance we've seen coming out of the cars from 2020-2022 in real life & apparently (though I can say first hand seeing as I dont have Iracing) the model that the Iracing devs worked with Mercedes-AMG to create their W12 feels and drives incredibly similarly to RSS' FH21, an impressive feat given how lacking assetto corsa physics can at be at times and just how old the game is now becoming, goes to show that embracing the mod support Kunos did with this game has increased its life expectancy as well as its life cycle, RSS really has mastered assetto corsa.
    their first two formula hybrids were pretty bad even at the time but after 2018 they have nailed every years regs as close to perfectly as I think you can ever expect, god I would love to drive one of the models they've made for any team from any racing discipline lmao!

    When I see ac and its modes, I become more and more interested in it, and I think the real pleasure is ac, and f1 2021 is very, very ordinary.

    • @SimRacingFun
      @SimRacingFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I completely agree! I have F1 2021 as well, but to be honest, I like AC a lot more ... Also as I really miss the VR Option in F1 2021. I can't believe they still have not included that yet with the availability of so many good VR goggles at a reasonable price.

    Talking about the 2022 cars I think the ACFL are the most accurate at the moment, not only from the looks but also from the driving! But RSS will bring a new version of the Formula Hybrid X 2022 Evo let's how they compare then

  • @themountainradio
    @themountainradio 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The FH2021 is way faster than the real f1. Baku WR is 1:35 in FH vs 1:40 in real F1 :(

    • @SimRacingFun
      @SimRacingFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes, I think it depends on the tracks as well. On some tracks it's closer then on others. Also, in the Sim it's easy to optimize the environment variables (such as low temperatures, high grip levels etc.), which they can't do during the Grand Prix itself. That may have quite an effect depending on the lap times that Lewis, Max and the others are able to put down. And I pretty much always drive on the C5 compound, which of course is not always available to the drivers in the Grand Prix weekends. I guess it will always be difficult to make a true comparison, but at least I think they did a very decent job to get this close in a 7 year old game.

  • @rchatte100
    @rchatte100 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I can throw the RSS car into almost any corner at almost any speed and it sticks. Obviously dont know if that's realistic, if so F1 cars have enormous grip.

    • @SimRacingFun
      @SimRacingFun  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've never driven in a real F1 car, so it's hard to prove anything, but judging from how close the lap times are to real F1, it must be close. What you can try is to make a hard turn at a low speed. You'll find that you have far less grip, which of course is also true for real F1 cars as they are so dependent on speed to build up grip. To me, this is one of the fun things about driving these formula cars. Sometimes I think I'm going through a turn as fast as possible, but when I go even faster, the car has more grip ... It amazes me how much lap time you can gain in that way.
