    Just want to add that changing colors is not only "fun", I find it actually extremely usefull for organisation, actually I found this video looking at how to change them.
    If you have to similar tracks (with different synths/kit) in song mode, they will appear sometimes as the same color. Being able to change their color makes is so much easier to identify them in the song mode view!

    Excellent. Always good to see a Deluge deep dive like this. Definitely some useful tricks.

    Yeah thanks mate for this.
    I have not long ago gotten hold of a Deluge and I love it.
    I would like if you could make more vids on the synthesis side of things.
    Maybe going deep into each engine, Subtractive, FM, Wavetable, Sample, multisample etc.
    I'd like to see you making different sounds and the breakdown on how you do it, just like in this vid. I can't express just how much I learnt from it... Thanks again and I look forward to your new videos man....

    Great tutorial, thank you! Love that it is centered around building a track. If you'd take it into the arrangement territory with a follow up video, that would be awesome!

    Great video, very helpful.
    Thinking of getting the Deluge, but also tempted by the MPC live 2.

      I haven't used the MPC Live, but I had an old MPC 1000 and it was a lot of fun. There's so much great gear, but the Deluge is probably my all time favorite.

    I really enjoyed this. The chosen subject helped understand the navigation. Previously I found the grid quite bewildering. By talking through your process we can see functions such as ADSR appearing, whereas the identity of function buttons is quite invisible onscreen.
    Q. One thing you mention a lot is side chain. I understand the principle of side chaining effects but what have you actually got in the side chain?

    • @simon_jakobsson
      @simon_jakobsson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind comment! The Deluge looks overwhelming at first, but as soon as you start looking at it more closely, it's feels very simple and intuitive.
      The sidechain I've been using is the default setting, which attenuates the volume of the track inverse to (base drum) triggers in the kit track. This can be re-routed to other sidechain destinations other than volume, but I haven't really explored that part yet. Thanks again.
