      Glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate the positive feedback. This is an entire series, so I hope you'll check out the other builds. The second part to this B&B actually just went live about an hour ago! Thanks again for the support! 🙏

      Thank you!! Snappy build has definitely been taking some getting used to. A lot of experimenting with what works and fits, but it's been fun!

    Greetings Mr. Matt! Thankyou for your generous response, good sir. Hats off to @higheverrains7386 for the wealth of detailed info they shared. I just happened to live for several years in the areas in California to which I referred, otherwise, my knowledge of historically housed B&B's would be very limited. :p It's always a pleasure to observe and support creative creators' creations! ;)

      There you have it! I am over on the East Coast/New England area myself and we have a lot of historical homes that have been converted into B&Bs. I actually drive around my neighborhood looking for "inspiration." 😂

    Greetings Mr. Matt! the WRU is off to a auspicious start on the Tenpines B&B project; great story, as usual! Your architectural design concept is very appealing and completely appropriate for a classic B&B style. It reminds me of the Victorian and Edwardian-era mansions repurposed for B&B's in the Napa and Sonoma County (California) areas.
    There might be a wooden moulding in one of your building kits to connect your floating porch railings, or wooden decorative posts to place at desired intervals to anchor the railings to the porch floor. You might like the option to place lanterns on top of said posts for further ambiance. Have fun-- and so will we! 😃

      You put the history right into what I am trying to say in the video!😂 I should probably do some of this research beforehand, huh? Haha. You nailed my style, and I LOVE the idea of checking out to see if the lamp posts fit in railings. I will also check to see if there are any gap fillers for the railings. Thanks as always for commenting with your historical knowledge and intrigue. I really do appreciate it!

      Grab an ice cold Nuka and sit back! LOL! This might be one of the first builds where I actually just focus on one structure rather than many, so it'll definitely be different for me. Thanks for sticking around and the support!

    Great job! Just do your thing. I don't care how you narrated it. I appreciate your thought process while building; without it, it would be boring. This is the first video of your settlement building that I've come across, so I hope you continue to work on obscure settlements like this.

    Lol Snappy Builds snaps to a lot of things. Those lamps actually attach to the wooden housekit posts. I think they're meant to be replacements for the Taffington lamps along their deck? There's so much variability in there, and fun stuff to work with. To make stuff snap between housekit and other snap kits, be aware that the housekits are 1.5 wide compared to a regular floor square. The pieces in that kit CAN work with others, but not always. You can find some similar shapes in the Decokit section however, and sometimes mix and match is more successful than others :) Each kit also comes with a number of different colors (housekit and decokit are green, brown, or white trims I think which is why some of your bumpouts were looking the same, it's the trim color that was different. If you hop over to wallpapers or floors, in the main snappy menu, you'll find snapping pieces to change up the floors or interior/exterior wall pieces, that let you have different wallpapers, tiles, carpets, etc. Have fun playing with it all!
    I always enjoy watching you discover the new things you can do with some of these bigger mods like Snappy and Workshop Rearranged. The excitement is infectious.
    For that window wall on the steps, use the full sized wall and window, and then put another half wall on top of it and it can work together with the next height wall. OR put a vanilla greenhouse/warehouse half-wall in there if it absolutely MUST be half sized. For the patio, replace those two single-piece windows at the back with doorways, and then build your patio off the back there so it has two ways in/out (on for the guests, one from the kitchen for eating outside maybe?).

      You always come through in the clutch! Your knowledge of these mods are off the charts and I really appreciate your insight. I think I might have said this before, but this is really the first time I have ever built with mods. I have always done vanilla on PS4.
      With the B&B I think I will only stick with Deco kit and house kit. Seems to have more of the style I am looking for. I'll also be sure to check out the tiles and wallpapers too. As always, thanks for the positivity and support! When there is so much negativity in the online gaming space, it's nice to see there has been a lot of positive feedback here from the community!

    I believe there's a mod that expands the Workshop Area which is a useful mod for this series.
    I honestly don't have any way to check if I'm correct because the update for Fallout 4 on my Xbox is acting like Console Mods aren't a feature anymore which is the first thing that I checked after the update and I don't know if anyone else on Console is having the same issue.
    Also if anyone was wondering what version my Xbox is it's just the Xbox One X (Not Series X) which I got when it was released and it's not obsolete since it's actually more reliable than the Series X/S from the reports I've heard.
    Anyway since you're on PC the mod list for Fallout 4 is endless so a mod that expands the Workshop Area is easy to find.
    The reason why I mentioned it is because it's useful for large projects in the series.

    • @mkenn10
      @mkenn10  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for commenting! There are lots of mods for making the physical lot size bigger for each settlement. I have been using a mod to add to the limit size, but I have yet to expand the borders. I think there are a few settlements that I have in mind that would definitely benefit from this. I appreciate you taking the time to post and support the channel. Cheers!

      Most of the PC mods are available for XBox too. PS is a different matter because PS doesn't allow the addition of new world objects. You might have some performance issues if you go overboard with building on an older machine.

      You were on it, today! LOL! Glad you checked it out. I focused a bunch on the main floor of the inn, so I didn't get as much done, but I liked checking out all of the different mods that I have never used before "on camera." Sort of made it feel like we ran into some set-backs in the whole construction process😂🤣

      Hmmm. Do you have Workshop Rearranged installed? That helps reorganize your workshop menu. Or maybe it’s the load order? What other mods are you using? Was it through Nexus? Sorry, just trying to ask some clarifying questions to see what the problem could actually be…

    • @mkenn10
      @mkenn10  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hey, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I have taken a very wholehearted approach when it comes to the narrative. In a bleak and violent world such as the Commonwealth Wasteland, I wanted to roleplay as a jack-of-all-trades fun-loving guy. This is the 4th settlement build in the series, so maybe start from the beginning and see what you think? Either way, I appreciate you stopping by to check out the content!
