Thank you so much!! I'll have more tutorials coming very soon once I have some extra time after the summer! (kids are home so video making has been hard lol! 😂)
This is very useful, thanks. I have been given one of these machines and I have struggled with it because the instructions are so sketchy. This makes it so clear.
If you have chonky calves, I highly recommend doing 75 rounds instead of the 100! It is a little shorter and not as slouchy but I find the modification more comfortable! Thank you so much for the pattern Nessa!
Love your teaching techniques. I have the machine and been making house socks (as we call them) with a loose top. I will try your easy to follow directions. ❤
perfect, thanks 4 posting this. I went with a flat toe oin on mine and need to finish the top edge, but delighted with the result. love this quick way to make socks. saving up 4 the king size addi to make jumpers.
Just made sock one - I’ve used a bright variegated mc yellows greens and oranges with saffron cuff - the cuff is a little tight for me so I’m going to try a bigger hook to finish it next time… looking forward to making the second sock tomorrow… and may have a play with DK yarn as I have tons of it and it might just be a little stretchier for me thanks to my health condition I need a little bit of a looser but still a bit tight fit
You could make your 22 stitch tube by doing a panel of 21 stitches and then using "mattress stitch" to join your sides creating a tube. Once you have your tube, follow the rest of her instructions.
If you're using a knitting machine like this one, worsted weight works best with the machines I've found. Too thin and things end up holey, too thick and it ends up jamming the machine!
48 stitches is way too big for socks, its more for hats. You could make a 22 stitch tube by doing a "panel" of 21 stitches and then using "mattress stitch" to join your sides creating a tube. Once you have your tube, follow the rest of her instructions. So, not impossible, just more complicated.
The tutorial is nice however, very difficult to see with the black yarn. Maybe in the future use lighter yarns for your tutorials. Otherwise I did enjoy. Thanks
I totally agree! This was one of my first tutorials and I make sure to use lighter yarn in my newer ones. I'm glad it could help you though either way! I am planning on redoing this tutorial in the future with better yarn. 🥰
Hi! This was my second ever tutorial from last year I believe so I must admit it does need a rework - but I do show closing the toe in the video around the 04:50 mark. You just pull on the string, and then weave your ends in! :)
Great tutorial. I feel like this is cheating. I also feel like instead of hand cranking you should hook a drill or something up to the crank so you don't have to do it by hand. If you're going to cheat, go all the way haha.
Have you tried this method? I do both methods. To me to say this is cheating is like saying if you don’t cut ice and make a cold room to preserve your food, then you are cheating at refrigeration! Same goes for cleaning clothes, do you use a wash board and tubs? This does take skill and has a huge learning curve. Maybe when you get older and your finger and wrist joints wear out you might be willing to “CHEAT” at knitting. I knit for the under privileged and I can tell you they do not care how the hats scarves and gloves were knitted or crocheted just that they are now warm.
I reviewed a lot of these tutorials and honestly yours is probably one of the best out there! I can't wait to see what else you have! Thank you!

I did this as well and love it
So easy to understand 🎉
Yay!! Thanks for watching :)

Thank you for this tutorial. I just received this machine today. I made a pair of gray and black for my husband. He loves them. So thank you so much.
yay!! that makes me so happy to hear! 🥰
Whats the name of the machine?
@@KorinaRijeka this is the "addi" knitting machine :)
Let me know what color you would make your socks! 🥰
HOW COOL! Thanks for the siiiiiick tutorial!
Thank you so much!!! 🥹🖤🖤🖤

ooo that sounds so nice!! 🥰 thank you for the support!
Thank you this is the first item made on my new 22 needle addi. These are going to be donated. I can not use alpaca yarn. Nor wool yarn or mixes ty.
Love! 🖤💀🖤
Thank you so much!! 🥰
What about turning the heel?
I would love to make burgundy socks 😀
LOVE that idea!! 🫶🖤🖤🖤
Can I do this in panel mode coz I do not have a 22 pin machine

What is the best kind of yarn to use to make socks. #needhelp

Can you use lighter weight yarn in this machine somehow?
I would say a weight 4 would be the best!! I've tried a lighter weight, and it sadly came out pretty holey. 😭
@@nessasknotsaw. That’s rather disappointing
How did you do the end of the sock the toe ?
She didn't. She just cinched the end closed.
I just pulled the end tight, and then weaved my ends in! :)

What knitting machine is this? ☺️
This is the addi express with 22 pins! 🖤
4:57 how?
I'm not sure what you mean - you weave the end in the same way you would with any other project. 🤔
My first time on your channel. Why do you talk about doing something and then edit out how you did it? Did you close the toe part with secret magic?

That's such a good idea!! I've seen others do that as well, and it looks like it goes soo much faster lol!
