It is true. The young people of all stripes in the US are learning the truth and do not support the ethnic cleansing going on! The internet has broken the veil of long dominant Israeli propaganda! Hopefully they can be enlisted to act and change the system before authoritarianism takes over and removes the opportunity! It is a neck and neck race right now.

Thank you both for an excellent, respectful and educational conversation and interview. I appreciate the questions that were asked and hearing answers that were based on history and context as the guest pointed out.
As a Jewish American woman I know that my eyes have been opened since October 7th. Unfortunately until then I had no idea about how Israel had been treating the Palestinians for DECADES! I barely have words to describe my horror and disgust about the level of bigotry and cruelty that Israel has punished the Palestinians with!
It's absolutely tragic that it's taken this last incident for me to see what's going on and now that I know I can no longer look at Israel or the US the same way.
Because the world is now connected through social media I hope we will be able to bring an end to this nightmare. I'm talking about a nightmare that's been going on for decades and not only the one that was sparked on October 7th!
It is horrifying and disgusting to me that our government is supporting Israel's ability to commit genocide. That's what it's doing and there's no reason to use words that are weaker than that.
I completely agree and can see clearer than ever that neither Israel nor the United States are democracies. They are democracies in name only. They have been fooling the world for far too long. We can now see that neither country is following international laws and are failing to act as true democracies. The level of inhumanity that the governments of both countries are willing to inflict is worthy of criminal punishment because they are crimes against humanity.
Fortunately, we can never unknow what we know now. I hope and pray that what is going on will shine even more light on how these two countries and our global community actually operates. That's the first step in making sorely needed changes.
I now say God bless the whole world. I no longer like to say God bless America because we are all connected! ❤

They should more sensibly boycott Arab oil then none of the following Moslem brutalities would be affordable. You are so gullible:
      1. YEMEN: NINE YEARS of Moslems fighting Moslems inside a M oslem state: 21 MILLION adults and 11.5 MILLION children are in urgent need of humanitarian aid, cholera is rampant , More than 400,000 have been killed but the warring Moslems would rather squander billions of dollars on warfare not welfare and cause MILLIONS of their own to suffer. NOT ONE BLEEDING HEART PROTEST IN NINE YEARS, JUST WILLINGLY BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB TO ISLAMIC CONFLICT.
      2. AFGHANISTAN: FORTY YEARS of Taliban (Moslem) brutality against Moslems. Pakistan has taken 1.3 MILLION Afghan refugees, granted 800,000 legal status but hand no choice to order another 1.7 MILLION moslems to return to Afghanistan. Almost FOUR MILLION moslems fleeing moslem brutality in Pakistan alone. UN asked Pakistan not to repatriate to Afghanistan because they would face “inhumane” brutality. Estimated 200,000! Killed since 2001. In 2023, 28.5 MILLION Moslems are in urgent need of humanitarian aid. Over 17 MILLION face acute under and 6 MILLION are on the edge of starvation. Brutality, executions, torture, imprisonment and, as usual many innocent Moslem women are raped. The sight of thousands of Moslems fleeing Moslem brutality and seeking asylum in the west when the USA withdrew was heart rending NOT ONE BLEEDING HEART PROTEST IN 20 YEARS, JUST WILLINGLY BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB TO ISLAMIC CONFLICT.
      3. SYRIA. About 500,000 have been killed, almost 7 MILLION are displaced. Almost 7 MILLION have fled and are refugees. This is another Inter Moslem conflict, (Sunni & Shia), ISIS trademark brutality is widespread. Many times higher than Gaza casualties with Iran supplying billions of dollars annually as well as weapons, ammunition, training and sending of several thousands of Iranian IRG and Al -Qud fighters and up to and possibly up to 50,000 hezbollah as well as militias in support of Assad whilst the Sunnis were supported by Saudi Arabia , Qatar, Turkey. NOT ONE BLEEDING HEART PROTEST IN TWENTY TWO YEARS, JUST WILLINGLY BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB TO ISLAMIC CONFLICT
      4. IRAN IRAQ EIGHT YEAR war. Persian Moslems and Arab Moslems fight each other after Iraqi invasion. Estimated about 2,000,000 killed and loss to both sides of $1.1 BILLION that could have helped many millions of Moslem refugees. But hatred is a necessity warfare not welfare is the priority. NOT ONE BLEEDING HEART PROTEST IN EIGHT YEARS, JUST WILLINGLY BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB TO ISLAMIC CONFLICT
      5. IRAQI invasion of Kuwait: Iraq failed to repay Kuwait for the US$14 billion loan made during the Iran / Iraq war. It’s unclear why, but Moslem Iraq invaded Moslem Kuwait and was expelled by a UN sanctioned US led force. In retreat Iraqis set fire to more than 600 Kuwaiti oil fields. After the defeat and expulsion of Iraq, Kuwait expelled all of the Palestinians that had fled brutality in Iraq. NOT ONE BLEEDING HEART PROTEST, JUST THE WILLINGLY BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB TO ISLAMIC CONFLICT .
      6. LEBANON: 1975 -1990: about 500,000 Moslems died and 1 million have fled Lebanon. Lebanon has been destroyed and is now a terrorist hell hole. NOT ONE BLEEDING HEART PROTEST, JUST THE WILLINGLY BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB TO ISLAMIC CONFLICT.
      7. NIGERIA: now in the grip of the Marxist/ Islamic terrorist Boko Haram wha have carried out widespread anti western brutalities, murders, rape, torture confiscations in order to make Nigeria a totally Islamic country. NOT ONE BLEEDING HEART PROTEST, JUST THE WILLINGLY BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB TO ISLAMIC CONFLICT.
      8. ARAB SPRING: Two Arab springs the first uprisings of which began in Tunisia, spread to Bahrain, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Libya. They also occurred in Morocco, Lebanon, Iraq, Algeria, Jordan, Sudan, Oman and also Djibouti, Saudi Arabia led to 61,000 deaths, civil war, leaders deposed, insurgencies all over the Arab world but NOT ONE BLEEDING HEART PROTEST, JUST THE WILLINGLY BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB TO ISLAMIC CONFLICT.
      9. It will take too long to detail the rest so they appear hereafter just as a list, the details are easily available for any impartial journalist to find out :
      10. MOZAMBIQUE
      11. JORDAN where Palestinians were expelled for being a (terrorist) state within a state
      12. KUWAIT where Palestinians were expelled after the first gulf war
      13. THE NORTH AFRICAN STATES awash with Islamic brutality
      14. The millions of Moslems fleeing Islamic brutality in their homelands many of whom beg to be allowed asylum in Britain, a land of “ infidels.”
      15. LIBYA
      16. EGYPT struggling with inter Moslem conflict
      17. PAKISTAN
      18. IRAN, the brutality, torture, executions of innocent people that merely disagree with fundamentalist extremism, or wear clothes that their brutal rulers don’t like
      19. IRAQ and the seemingly endless and insoluble Moslem infighting
      20. GAZA The brutality and public executions of thousands of people that disagreed with Hamas since they came to power SIXTEEN YEARS AGO and as if that want bad enough the broadcasting of the brutalities in social media
      21. WORLD WIDE TERRORISM. According to “jihadwatch” more than 40,000 jihad attacks SINCE 9/11
      22. AND THE REST!!
But the hypocritical bleeding hearts are willingly deaf, dumb and blind to the tens of millions of Moslems that have suffered at the hands of Islamic brutality that has nothing to do with Britain, America or Israel.
Please note Mr Google, this is not hatred, it’s widely known history and current affairs
Here is the sad reality that everyone is unwilling to face up to. It’s not hatred, it’s not racist, it is simple undeniable, irrefutable truth readily available from numerous sources:
NO ONE HAS MURDERED, TORTURED, ABDUCTED AS MANY MOSLEMS AS MOSLEMS THEMSELVES.
NO ONE HAS CAUSED SO MANY MILLIONS OF MOSLEM REFUGEES AS MOSLEMS THEMSELVES.
NO RELIGION IN HISTORY HAS INFLICTED SO MUCH SUFFERING ON ITS OWN PEOPLE THAN ISLAM
NO RELIGION IN HISTORY HAS CAUSED SO MANY OF ITS FOLLOWERS TO FLEE THEIR HOMELANDS TO ESCAPE THE BRUTALITY OF THEIR RELIGION.
So no hatred of any kind intended at all in my writing, just irrefutable, undeniable evidence freely available to everyone, no propaganda just plain evidence.
It’s time hypocrites and politicians to stop their pretentious hypocrisies, because if there was one ounce of decency, fairness, justice, compassion, care, concern in their otherwise unconscious consciences, they would have been be screaming about the suffering in conflicts that began when some of them were still on nappies, or still should be because of their childish, attention craving immaturity and bear in mind the first conflicts began 1,400 years ago, not eight weeks
Instead, it’s popular to join a gang of anti semitism rather than reason, think and seek the truth.
Social media has challenged my presentation of these facts yet I see vitriolic hatred on the anti semitic posts and channels, some of the vilest expressions, videos and cartoons, but as long as it’s antisemitism it’s perfect acceptable. But challenge the hatred and you are described as hateful.
please read the book on the annihilation of Jews and Israel and watch one full video of the Hamas summer training camps where children and teenagers are given extensive training on every act of terror .
You Steve stoking fires of hatred and anti semitism by colossal misinformation, wilful misrepresentation and wicked prejudices.
Let’s hope that this conflict ends sooner, rather than later and those that are genuine, innocent victims can begin to rebuild
They should learn from our mistakes, two world wars that claimed many millions of lives ended. It took time but bitter enemies were reconciled and we live in peace with each other with one or two notable exeptions
In the mean time it’s time the world woke up to the realities of this antisemitism, supported Israel and condemned terror.
If Hamas had not prepared this for twenty years and more, if Hamas had not attacked and brutalised then this conflict would still be unborn though its pregnancy would be well advanced and its birth would only be a matter of time
One thing that has emerged from Oct 7th is the pure hatred of islamists, the total dishonesty and cruelty toward their own. I hope when this tragedy that Hamas and its sponsors created ends the there will be a deep and prolonged investigation into Islamic teaching, ideology and behaviour. It has certainly woken me up, shocked and disgusted me and made me 100% in support of Israel and I have no Jewish connector associations of any kind.
Israel has no choice at all, Hamas and its sponsors did have a choice. They have exercised their freedom to choose without the integrity to understand that while we may have freedom to choose, we cannot control the consequences of this choices, and so yet another part of the Middle East has been turned into a hell hole as a result.
The reality is that if Hamas had not attacked Israel on Oct 7, this war would not have happened ….. ……. Yet!!!
I think it is the case that if Israel governed Gaza there would be peace, security, safety, comfort and equality, something that exists in no Moslem governed lands.
It’s time you looked in the mirror and laid the blame where it really belongs because Oct 7th has finally woken the rest of the world to THAT reality and it has NOTHING to do with Israel

Did any Arab government (Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Yemen) protect their Jewish communities in 1948-1952? 850000 Jews made to leave Arab countries with no property. Some of them lived there for thousands years. No. That’s exactly what “from the river to the sea” means. And as to the Hamas - why do you complain? They are popular, now they are hiding in the tunnels but still popular - so why the Gazans unhappy now?

Yes, occupation of the land never belonging to a non-existent nation. Name one "Palestinian" before 1950. The only occupation in place is the list of the main occupations of "Palestinians" - terror, smuggling and corruption. And it is the first "ethnic cleansing" in history where the number of the "cleansed" Arabs both in Israel and in Gaza is growing. Ethnic cleansing occurred to the Jewish population in Arab states - from 850 thousand in 1948 to 30 thousand today. And the diminishing number of Christians in all the Arab states. That's ethnic cleansing. @@ytbmQC

Excellent interview. On that last point about Salahuddin Ayubi liberating Jerusalem, credit must be given to that entire generation that was influenced by Imam Ghazzali (ra). Similarly, the revolution in Iran was undertaken by the ideas of Ali Shariati who educated a whole generation of Iranians to effect that change. Today, the Muslim world needs to be educated out of its colonial mindset before we can effect change. We must stop admiring and emulating the western world in EVERY aspect of our lives and instead gain the conviction that our success lies in following the Quran and the Sunnah: Each one of us must change inside to bring change outside. Educate the Muslim masses in the Quran and the Sunnah is the dire need of the day.

Congratulations on a very calm tone for a controversial yet important topic. That tone alone is bound to build the confidence of British, pro- Palestinian listeners. Hopefully, they will seek to hear all sides of the conflict and not just adopt the first, or most popularist, account they hear. I think they should definitely check your assumptions and the claims of your guest. A lot depends on whether Zionism is truly the "most racist ideology"or just a fancy name for perhaps the most persecuted people in the history of the world wanting their own small piece of land on which to form a self-protective nation like any other. Certainly their historical claim on the land seems incredibly strong to me. Also important, in my view, are the goals and practices of Islam, which are not well understood by western governments and media. All the best.

Thank you for this discussion. I do want to clarify the West (specifically the US) is absolutely NOT a democracy within its own borders. The upper managerial class are given a veneer of "democracy " as long as they obey the theater as presented, parrot state owned media talking points, and assimilate to the proscribed US culture. Not following will get someone marginalized and demoted.
For the working class, there are paid supervisors who feel feel but that is completely propaganda and not at all real. We have practically unusable health care services, crashing wages not keeping up with austerity & inflation, zero protections against covid, demands to work constantly. Anyone not willing to assimilate are also marginalized and eventually suffer constructive discipline.
Hourly workers if unionized can demand some benefits but the box they function in is not democracy. It functions inside hostile borders.
Young people are completely targeted by this system as they are not complying. Radicals are absolutely targeted. People with disabilities are living under oppressive and harmful conditions with pretend programs that do nothing. Black, brown, indigenous are always under oppression unless they willingly adhere to be a stooge for the oppressor.
That's not democracy. It's theater. And the show is canceled. 2024 will find us facing mask-off fascism. The abusers know they have lost and they are going to be terrible before it's over.

Israel’s policy of settling its civilians in occupied Palestinian territory and displacing the local population contravenes fundamental rules of international humanitarian law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
The extensive appropriation of land and the appropriation and destruction of property required to build and expand settlements also breach other rules of international humanitarian law. Under the Hague Regulations of 1907, the public property of the occupied population (such as lands, forests and agricultural estates) is subject to the laws of usufruct. This means that an occupying state is only allowed a very limited use of this property. This limitation is derived from the notion that occupation is temporary, the core idea of the law of occupation. In the words of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the occupying power “has a duty to ensure the protection, security, and welfare of the people living under occupation and to guarantee that they can live as normal a life as possible, in accordance with their own laws, culture, and traditions.”
As the occupier, Israel is therefore forbidden from using state land and natural resources for purposes other than military or security needs or for the benefit of the local population. The unlawful appropriation of property by an occupying power amounts to “pillage”, which is prohibited by both the Hague Regulations and Fourth Geneva Convention and is a war crime under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and many national laws.
Israel’s building of settlements in the West Bank, including in East Jerusalem, does not respect any of these rules and exceptions. Transferring the occupying power’s civilians into the occupied territory is prohibited without exception. Furthermore, as explained earlier, the settlements and associated infrastructure are not temporary, do not benefit Palestinians and do not serve the legitimate security needs of the occupying power. Settlements entirely depend on the large-scale appropriation and/or destruction of Palestinian private and state property which are not militarily necessary. They are created with the sole purpose of permanently establishing Jewish Israelis on occupied land.
In addition to being violations of international humanitarian law, key acts required for the establishment of settlements amount to war crimes under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Under this body of law, the “extensive destruction and appropriation of property not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly” and the “transfer, directly or indirectly, by the Occupying Power of parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies, or the deportation or transfer of all or parts of the population of the occupied territory within or outside this territory” constitute war crimes. As stated above, “pillage” is also a war crime under the Rome Statute.
Israel’s settlement policy also violates a special category of obligations entitled peremptory norms of international law (jus cogens) from which no derogation is permitted. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) affirmed that the rules of the Geneva Conventions constitute “intransgressible principles of international customary law”. Only a limited number of international norms acquire this status, which is a reflection of the seriousness and importance with which the international community views them. Breaches of these norms give rise to certain obligations

My Jewish Zionist father had a Palestinian ID. So what? Palestinian was BRITISH! Everyone here in Israel during the British mandate was called Palestinian! But there was never an Arab state called palestine. There was never a Palestinian president. No palestinian currency. (The coin was British). No date of founding of palestine. No palestinian flag. No anthem. No allies of Palestine. No exports. No nothing. The name Palestinian is not even Arabic!! It was given by the ROMAN conquerer Andrianos just to erase Jewish indigenous connection to Judea and Israel. It is a bluff. I know "Palestinians" with the name, Matzri. That name proves that they are Egyptians because Matzri means Egyptian. They merely came here to get work under the Zionists. Palestinian identity was invented by the mufti of Jerusalem to thwart the Jews' intentions of coming home en masse and later by Arafat. And from where was Arafat? From Egypt!! You guys are ignorant of all this? Go learn. Tell me who was the president of palestine? What year did he rule? And in what building and city was the government? Good luck with that. You won't find the information because the palestinian identify is a modern invention of an Arab Muslim propaganda machine used against the indigenous nation of the land of Israel.

That enabled the Greater Israel project to milk to its advantage....providing permission to do what it wanted, when it wanted. Most Palestinians are not even from Palestine. They are Muslim refugees invited into the land by the Ottomans from Europe and Africa in the early 1900s. Bosniaks, Circassians, Chechins and Sudanese are not Palestinians! The majority are descendants of Arab Levantine laborers that came into the land as support personnel for the British and because of the prosperity brought by the Jews reclaiming the land. Egyptians, Syrians, Jordanians, Iraqis and Lebanese are not Palestinians!!!
There are about 30% of "Palestinians" a political identity, not an identity, nor an ethnicity are actually descendants of ancient Jews and Christians. The immigration and population records prove this.

Thanks for this insightful discussion it's very helpful. Would love to see more content on the genocides in Sudan and Congo though, in their own right but also because the struggles are interlinked with that of Palestine.

I lost hope after loosing Dr Edward Said. You gave me hope Dr Tamimi. Keep up the good work Dr Tamimi. One thing that should have been highlighted is how can Muslim wherever they can overcome internal divisions. There is enough strength and courage within Muslim community but we are extremely divided which has made us an easy target for oppression

Thanks for the interview, it raised some interesring ideas. I would disagree, however, that "dissecting" was happening . A previous interview with a different guest had more push back from the host and was much more informative. This one raised a series of interesting points but the lack of pressing means it's google and chat gpt time. Some examples could be "whites in South Africa accounted for less than 10 percent, with the proportion of Jewish people being much higher, how sure are you that post apartheid solutions could work in your post Zionist vision? " " If Syria is not doing anything against Israel, why did Israel recently bomb Damascus airport? " "Does the Israeli government pledge of billions of dollars to improve Israeli Arab economic situation compensate for removing Arabic as an official language? " . Again, it was interesting to listen, relative to TH-cam echo chambers this channel is reassobably good, but the previous interview with a different guest really showed just how "thinking" this podcast can be, as did the host's appearance one Paul's podcast show just how thinking the host can be.

This person has some interesting things to say. Unfortunately, he generalises way too much and the interviewer doesn’t get him to elaborate or substantiate. Like, what are these ‘dirty tactics’ he claims Israel used to encourage crime and drug-addiction amongst the Arab population? Also, it’s just arrogant to say your book (which I haven’t read) ‘proves’ something when the best it can possibly do is to strongly argue a position/conclusion.

@@JacintaPalerm Haha, what a childish statement! 😉 Don´t forget, that Arabs are guilty of not recognizing Israel and that as long as they refuse to acknowledge Israel's right to exist, they need to be surveilled, controlled (sometimes judged + imprisoned + punished etc..), because the denial of Israels existence is the main crime. It is certainly NOT Israel's fault, when Arabs don't grow up to become responsible, but remain in lifelong puberty and victimhood.
