    Btw, when bacon was peaking through the Door with the spycam, he wasn't actually black on ammo. It's just whenever an opetator is interacting with a door, he's ammo will just display as 0/30. Once he's done, it goes back to normal. Unsure if it's a bug or just the devs way to showing that he's unable to shoot at that time.

      I think that (although a little deceptive) it is showing that the trooper does not have a weapon ready to fire.

      It's kind of a bug. if you handle throwable item, then It shows the how much item is remain. if you have 2 flash bang and you now being throwed or have throwed, It will be 1/30.

    6:21 The MP5SD is actually suppressed, it just also happens to bleed gas such that the velocity of standard pressure and velocity 9x19 becomes subsonic.

    Regarding the first operator downed, I'm not sure cover is as effective if you're not up against the object with the "cover" bars showing on the icon. When I play through, it feels like if you are not glued to the damn barricade, the barricade doesn't exist. :(

      Not to mension a car's cabin provides no cover in real life, either. Even pistol rounds pass through sheet aluminium like it wasn't there.

    They must have nerfed the executioners. When I ran this mission as soon as I was compromised every executioner started b lining to the hostages. It was a rough one but I got it done. Nice work overcoming and changing on the fly!

      Yea true. In the beggining there was an automatic trigger on executioners on 36 sec. You can stay on the edge of the map and executioners will still kill all hostages.

      Yup, only could get that mission done with MP5SDs for everyone. Still confused why the last executioner was running, though - in the current version they only seem to go if they see a ranger or a dead friend, not from hearing shooting or explosions. Maybe it was built into the map.

    I like to envision these missions playing out as last-ditch assaults when every other resource has failed and you only have these scant few seconds to deploy whichever operators were able to jump in a van and rush to the scene.
    Your willingness to commit to decisive action really helps sell that, where I tend to stick to careful clearance and forget to turn up the violence. Bits like Drummer's desperate rush across the lobby to stop the executioner make it feel like a legit action movie.

    you can press "L" to slow time down to be able to blast doors and throw flashbangs there more precisely

    At 11:55 when you first agent died he wasn't in cover. I believe you need to see the lines around the agent's circle, which means that unless you stand right behing cover it doesn't count as such. Hopefully they'll improve it one day but currently it works like this...

    This is the shit I have been talking about on Discord. Critical hits are an insta kill, and the SR3M has up to a 10% chance to crit. Between that and the high rate of fire, that gun is DEADLY. I just feel like the crit chance is too high, I really don't see these guys aiming at my head that consistently...

      Crits aren't necessarily headshots, just vital hits to organs. It's not too crazy that most enemies have a 2% chance for any of their randomly fired bullets to slip through the vest and hit a critical body part. The idea is that, I'm guessing, the more experienced advisors would have better knowledge of where to shoot an armored target. I agree that 10% is still too high though.
      If they nerf the crit chance, they can increase the base damage to compensate. The advisors can still be a deadly enemy, but they shouldn't be unfair.

    Corran may have been able to save the hostage by either getting a better angle out past the front of the truck to see the door or rushing the locked door at the top to see through the windows in that room

    What I ended up doing was to have everyone on stealth modes and kill the front desk guy with SD. Then push deep into the left corridor and locking the hallway down with shotguns and rifles. For the auditorium I managed to chuck flashes deep into the room and breeching the wall below simultaneously. all in all a ton of flashes did the trick.

    This actually really funny because I’ve lost gunfights in the original door kickers scenario where you engage certain targets wearing the same armor from behind and get like 4 rounds on target and then get turned on and subsequently killed. So I find myself doing absurd things to get myself into a position to kill threats that really shouldn’t be as big of a deal.

    But yeah, for the same reason I don't use mp5sd anymore. Shit at killing compared to other weapons like m4 or mk18, any range longer than 7 meters is just tragedy

      I think in DK to get the balance right they really had to mess with the effective ranges. The MP5 seems to stack bodies 0-5m, but at 10m may as well be a paintball gun.

    God this level was so difficult trying to make a perfect single plan full silent. I spent five hours and multiple replays just to get a viable run before making small improvements. Loved the challenge and the level. 10/10 will try single man in the future.

      aim bot no aim time plus they kill you in 2-3 shots with lvl 3 full plates or even lvl 4 plates like in this video

      The SR3 is ridiculously quick to aim for the AI. If I remember correctly the default ready time for it is 100 ms while the m4 is around 200. But they don't have any sights on it so it is be a bit more equal, but it still much quicker than any other rifle in the game.

    I just want to comment on the explanation of the mp5 SD. It is a suppressed gun but what makes it special is that behind the suppressor there is a hole dripped in the barrel that releases gas into the handguard and makes any 9mm ammo fired from the weapon come out of the barrel at a sub-sonic speed. I hate to be a stickler about guns but I felt like I had to comment on the "it's not actually suppressed" thing

    The MP5 SD is very much also a suppressed gun, it's just got an additional mechanical system which makes it accept any ammunition and still have it be subsonic by bleeding/expanding gases very early to make the suppressor more effective.

    Mp5sd is integrally suppressed. Not just subsonic. But other than that love the content. Been going through and watching all these old videos. Just recently picked up DK2 TFN

    The way I did this one is by blowing up the middle wall and interdicting access to the main room. In a more recent update they added Executioner S Vest guys, so basicly that theather room is a no go room.

    Extreme Rescues 2 is a pain in the ass for me since I'm trying to 3 star every level. Either I accidentally alert an executioner or my guy just is a bit too far and he gets 1 tapped by someone across the map.

    This is my own personal opinion but the Critical Hit chance and enemy's reaction times need changes. I've had operators die way too many times in a single shot from the front and it was the enemy that was popping sideways while my operator stood still. While at the first the RNG was a fun factor, now that I've cleared all the maps and I'm just trying to get the achievements, it's just pure annoyance.

    The foreign advisors are actually very good. They have the accuracy and precision of your rangers and have very effective weapons systems. Wait till you encounter enemy Security and Security QRF.

    The foreign advisors and their SR3-M's with AP rounds are absurdly strong at 0-30m. Ive gotten many M16A4s with the shortest possible aim time killed by these guys

    Was there an element of randomness that contributed to that first dead assaulter or was there something else in play?
    Like you said, you had the advantage of surprise and hard cover, so it's weird to me that that resulted in a dead operator, aside from your choice of an MP5.

      The aim time drops quickly with distance (especially with mp5) and the assaulters switch from automatic/burst to semi. The critical hit chance also drops, and the accuracy.
      Altogether the mp5 becomes very poor at even medium range engagements.
      In dk2 best to keep an m4 (I prefer m16) with the mp5s to assist in the inevitable situation of opening a long angle

      But of course, rng will always affect games like this. Once he was spotted the enemy will react as programmed just like any other unit in the game- and their weapons were better at that longer range.
      Unlucky, but the game can be played by the game rules to avoid it

      The subsonic rifle is pretty bad, and that was probably a foreign adviser. But I am not sure why he was shooting so slowly. It is almost like he had a pistol out, but it looks like the rifle.

      the mp5sd is not well balanced, you need to use subsonic ammo to make the suppression effect good enough to be worth it but you lose a big chunk of you medium-long range accuracy, plus it shoots really slow at 15 meters and feels like a pea shooter

    Losing the guy on the right was BS, but losing the MG was your own fault; you had one guy taking out the executioner and the other 4 guys all running, which left no one to support the MG. If the rest of your team had been walking, or if you'd done fire-and-movement with one or two holding still while the others ran, you'd probably have saved him.

    I know this is a game, but you keep applying real world tactics to the game. I blame the devs for this, but in real world, you would not have intel on guns and emplacements within a building, and you would not see when they are picked up etc. is there options in the game to have that info under the fog of war?

    Love the Door Kickers 2 content, but would be nice to see you fully dominate a map sometimes. I appreciate the blind playthroughs where things go wrong and you have to figure stuff out on the fly, but might be valuable and satisfying to see what it takes to execute a perfect plan as well sometimes. Last couple of maps have been rough on ya! Also, loud guns are more fun, M4 go bang.

      At first I REALLY didn’t like this comment.
      But after thinking about it, it would be cool. The background being you have an inside man or had access to CCTV that got cut suddenly or active thermal imaging from a bird uptop. But yeah, would cool to see you have foreknowledge and absolutely dominate a map

      Definitely agree! While the blind playthroughs are exciting, it'd be cool to also have content along the lines of "how many attempts for a clean 3-star run?"

    having played this map I started watching this video expecting pairs to get triggered lol, just remeber pairs we watch for the overcoming of adversity not for the perfect execution.

    One thing I noticed recently is that kicking the door stuns enemies on the other side. Bathroom clears are a lot safer if you make sure to always kick the door (explosives wort too as well).
    I never really got the point of the machine gunner. All the units area already amazing at mowing down large swaths of units, and if you want to hold down an area, their is nothing better than throwing grenadiers at it. Until they fix the OPness of being able to explode a grenade instantly wherever you can see, 5 times in a row, grenadiers are a little crazy good.

      I agree. The support units have a slow aim time, meaning they get shot before they start to fire. The solution is the micromanage their suppression feature by placing it over enemies- but that makes single plans or more complicated maps tough since its hard to predict everywhere suppression will be needed. Grenades work well, as long as you don't run out lol

      I don't think the operators are noticeably worse, but rather, the enemies are significantly more capable

    I think you were rightfully salty. The suppressed gunplay in this game just sucks, period. I stopped running suppressed altogether for now until they fix it. It just feels so ineffective.

    I fucking hate that when I played this map much more recently, there was not only executioners in the auditorium, but there was suicide bombers up there and it was basically impossible to get up there in time before they would just go pop and schwack a bunch of the hostages.

    For me this is the hardest mission in the game. I can get 3 stars on every other mission but this. I’ll kill one guy and everyone runs to the hostages. Or I get the hostage rooms, and everytime one hostage dies in the crossfire.

    All the "go silent" command does is instruct them to only fire at self endangering targets. If B dude sees an enemy looking at A dude but is silenced he will wait for his buddy to get killed.
    Its useful before being compromised when you sneak up behind someone. It can also prevent the m4/m16 troops from shooting at someone the mp5 could have hit, thus preserving the silence.
    I often start by taking all mp5s off silence and putting all the loud weapons on silent, which happens to be opposite their default.

    I find the unsilenced mp5 the best gun in the game, not great long range but close range with hollow point it's brutal as fuck
