Thank you so much for being so open about your views about the ex Soviet Union❤️ I am italian and my boyfriend's parents are romanian, and even though they moved here in their early 20s, growing up there during Ceausescu's dictatorship inevitably shaped a lot of their views of which some I was able to understand and some others I just couldn't get. Hearing you two speaking so openly about your own views and experiences (despite those being different from my in-laws' ones), made me see the parts of their world that I was missing. Thank you for speaking your truths and sharing It, I'm sure it was useful and insightful to many others too.
PS I would love to see more content like this because I think that it will help those who are genuinely curious to broader their views on what's going on

As a Russian yes we are demanding that’s because we have expectations of ourselves and work hard to achieve them and of course we demand the same from our partners. We don’t want a partner that we have pull along In life.

I am Eastern European and I have mixed feelings but prefer the Western "dating" model - maybe because I have seen the negative side of the "provider" using it as a weapon and not appreciating what women offer. We have the saying "whoever pays orders the music". Is it common to have men provide and not mention it in every conversation, despite the women taking care of the home and children? Sounds lovely, I haven't experienced this in my childhood. So naturally growing up I tried overcompensating and going in the opposite direction.
For me personally - I appreciate the guy paying on a first date, but taking turns afterwards is natural to me.

Great guest, good conversation. Who is the agressor in the conflict is questionable. I don't think it's the two parties who are fighting. We need peace. We are all Soviet, family, same culture. Forces out there trying to break us apart.

Would be better if each country ,even post soviet, start to speak their own language rather then ru*** So sad that only after 2022, people realise how this is important…Admire people who reject answering in ru***… this lg should be fofgotten. Post-soviet countries are not equal rus** , let’s make it clear!!!
