BEWARE!! - The mini buses are just a scam - I travelled once and took over 3 hours to Pattaya - they don't go the motorway but along the old roads - drop off - pick up all the way. The Big Blue Bus is the only way.
Plenty leg room on the big bus and reclining seats too

The train is still 50 baht but takes about 4hrs but at least you can walk about on the train and its something different and you can hang out the window with your camera 😁
Again, these little nuggets of advice and tips that you are passing on to future first-timers over there are priceless and appreciated. When you go to a different country you can't expect the same standard as some other countries. Germany will have a better public transport system than Thailand.

Looked like a lot of hard work lol. I just book a nice, air conditioned taxi hotel to hotel. No sweating involved.
Mini cab Customer on his 3rd beer sat on the balcony of his hotel after a shower when you arrived 😂Joking aside .The way you Travel Sean mate without getting stressed is Brilliant to watch 👍No aircon unit blowing hot air on the balcony is a must and i didn't see one on your balcony,And with a swimming pool 👍ffs go steady whilst on cam in Patts 😎😂

The whole area at Ekkamai bus station will be demolished soon that's why they don't want to get it renovated. The new location will be at Bangkok mall (under construction) near BTS Bangna station.

I think it would be interesting while in Pattaya to see how many different countries of old men you can find. Mostly Brits, Americans, Australian, Germans, Swedes, Russians -- your brief "interviews" with each could be entertaining. You could ask each what they like about Pattaya the most.

No danger I'd get a bus from Bangkok to Pattaya. Just get a taxi, its less than 2k baht. 50 quid including tip, cheap as chips for a journey that's 2hr plus. Try and get that deal in the UK 🇬🇧.
3quid for the bus, the other 47quid pay for the hotel, food,drink aand possibly entertainment, no contest.

Sean, the Lek hotel used to have a bigbreakfast spread, maybe lunch too. .I used to stay in soi 13/1 (soi yamato) in Sa Appartments, now due to covid, called th rabbitt hutch I think..

BTW be careful of vlogging with camera on stick in pattaya especially on soi bukaow, locals are getting very savvy about TH-camr vids and will hide face if they spot you from a distant. My GF covered her face with me in a restaurant on soi dianna last week, I couldn't stop laughing 😉🤣🤣🤣

Yeah. Actually you took my question from my tongue. It's always a problem for me to travel on a bus or minivan in Thailand as I take beer with me for the road. I travelled on this bus couple of times between Bangkok and Pattaya but can't recall if they have a toilet on board. I'm gonna use this bus again soon and wanted to know as well.
