19:17 I'm curious as to what this person actually did to push a girl so hard to go dance with the group of friends that she cried and ended their friendship.

The original post has an edit that said that he accidentally said “ GROSS! YOU’RE ON YOUR PERIOD?! “ Because he was trying to play hide the finger. It was loud enough that a lot of people around them heard it and laughed

In 6th grade I had this “friend” who would constantly yell that I liked this boy in my class. I obviously didn’t but she somehow got the whole class to think I liked him, anyways one day he walks up to me and says “___ said you liked me” not knowing what to say I just said “Boy please” and everyone in the class started laughing. I still cringe at it and have had some pretty sleepless nights after that. 😭

My little brother was a butt hole. I never shunned him even when the whole family had. One day he did something that got to me and l tossed him off the property. Unfortunately, that was the last time l saw him alive. His confused/disappointed look on his face as he got in his car still haunts me 25 years later. I try now to never leave someone on a bad note.

One of my teachers in 9th grade was letting us look at our grade before the end of the semester. She had us walk up to her and she’d show it to us on her clipboard. It was Casual Friday and she wore a really cool Beatles t shirt featuring a photo of the Fab Four I’d never seen. (They’re my favorite group). I looked at it as she was looking for my name and grade beside it. She thought I was looking at her chest so she set the clipboard down and zipped up her jacket before picking it back up and telling me my grade. It turned out alright though. She continued to treat me the same as before for the remainder of the year.

I`m nearly 40 years old, and still wake up to the same nightmarish memories of my mom hitting me up really bad when I was just 5. She had left me with an electric heater next to my bed, as our flat was quite cold and I had pulled it too close to my bed because I was freezing so bad. Fallen asleep then - until I got woken up. My small 1yr old sister slept in the room next to me - and I still hear my mom scream, that I had nearly killed both of us, as my bed was already starting to smoke and glimse, when my mom came back

I have many but this is the one that stands out in my mind. When i was 13, i showed my brother(who was older than me)a video that i thought was funny(it was mostly just the typical 21st century hunor that me and my siblings would laugh at but this video in particular had lost of cussing in it and i didnt think my brother would get mad at me ad tell me to stop watching it,granted we were really shektered growing up so i kind of understand why he got annoyed but it still makes me cringe to this day, i get nervous everytme I'm facetiming him thinking that he thinks im still some weird edge lord or smh bc of how maturely i talk. God i hope he forgot that

    1. When I was about 7/8 years old, I went to a waterpark with my mum and stepdad. When we got there, I realised I had forgotten my goggles which wasn't really a big deal because you weren't aloud to wear them while on the slides anyway but i did need them for swimming and since my mum wasn't going to buy me some at the waterpark, I just decided to swim underwater anyway but with my eyes closed. Me and my stepdad made up this game where I would swim to him but since I had my eyes closed, I was going off of touch to know if I had reached him yet. I had swam to him successfully 4/5 times and on the next go, I did the same thing. I went underwater and stuck my arms out in front of me so I could feel for my stepdad. I thought I had found him because I felt someone's chest with my hands but when I looked up, I found that it wasn't my stepdad at all and was instead a big, viking, very confused-looking man. I looked him in the eyes, very quietly said sorry and swam back to my mum, wanting to exit this planted very quickly
    2. Again when I was about 7/8 years old, I was in class and I farted. I thought it was going to be silent but It was quite loud. None of the kids nor the teacher said anything at first so I thought I'd gotten away with it until my teacher said "whoever did that, say excuse me" it was at this point that I died inside and then very very quietly said "excuse me" man that teacher was an a-hole

Maybe this will come back to bite me when I have finally forgotten it and someone just happens to spy this and comment or like 10 years from now, but... Mine's incredibly trivial.
In an MMO, during a dungeon, I said something mean about a player. Not even mean about them, it was just mean spirited. I have an incredibly guilty conscience, and always have - it's how I was raised. It basically boiled down to them saying "Oh thank goodness we didn't get X Fight", and I saw they re-equipped all their gear right when we started, so they were item level cheesing what fights we could get... Except that fight couldn't be cheesed. It had no restriction, and I wasn't aware. I wanted to do a little trashy talk in a private chat with a friend, and said "Nah b, you stripped your gear, you knew it wouldn't be that." Except... It went into the party chat, not the private one.
I have no idea why this haunts me. It's so stupid. It's so EMBARASSING to me that I made such a dumb mistake. I apologized after and everything, including to the rest of the party that had to witness that poor attitude. It's been a year and a half and it still pops into my head. I know it's minimal, almost non existent of an actual event. People say worse stuff than that all the time deliberately so I don't understand why this miniscule little thing actually stuck with me. Even moreso than the actual times I was nasty to people in much more hurtful ways. It's stupid. It's stupid and I know it's stupid and pointless to fuss and trivial but it's exactly BECAUSE I know that it's such a non-issue that I can't seem to go through the mental steps of self-forgiveness. I'm stuck!

(highschool) During rehearsals for "into the woods," i was only supposed to be helping with writing the songs with acoustic guitars. When they called for stage practice. My dumbass went right up on set and i was doing a guitar duet on accident and the teacher/director stopped everything just as confused as everyone else watching, he just went, "what are you doing up there?" I went straight home and never played guitar with that group again. I still just go "hey," or "yoooo," to try and shake it off lol but i know i was an airhead.

I have many, but 2 stand out the most:
French class, I think I was about 14. Our teacher asked us if we knew what fondue is. I proudly announced "deer!" (because I saw a joke on Tiny Toons where a woman ordered fondue at a restaurant and a fawn leaped off her plate). Everyone, including the teacher, went into histerics. I wanted to die.
Then, at a school dance when I was about 16, I wanted to show the Turkish foreign exchange student how to headbang. After I finished he just gave me a disgusted look and said "yeah", then walked away. Absolutely mortified.

Worked in construction for years when I was first starting out.
It was normal for OG's to call young men starting out "boy".
So there I am, bicycling home from a party when a group of black teenagers are blocking the path.
You can see where this is going.
I'll never, ever, ever forget that I said "Move, boy!" to a young black kid, as an older white almost-man. What effect did that have? What lesson did I teach?
Fuck. I should've stopped to explain myself but I was embarrassed and scared I'd started something I couldn't talk my way out of. That shouldn't have mattered, though. I wish I'd gotten off my bike and talked to them.

Don't push people to dance, let them dance when THEY decide to do it. You are not doing them a favor by pushing them. So many nights have been ruined because of some people not being able to take no for an answer.

I once threw a tantrum when I was on a trip with my dad because I wanted pizza instead of going to Cracker Barrel because in my little 7 year old brain it was “too late for breakfast”. My dad bless his heart got me some pizza from a different place so I could eat it in the Cracker Barrel while he had his breakfast because he’s a lot nicer than most parents I know would have been. I still remember him apologizing to the staff as he left with a screaming and crying me and often times nowadays when I want pizza sometimes I feel guilty because of that instance. 🥲 but then I watch Reddit story videos where people tell stories of grown adults throwing tantrums like that and I feel better about myself.
