When I used to sell phones and stuff on ebay I used to literally sterilise all the equipment with Isopropal Alcahol and UVC. I became a top rated seller as apparently this was surprisingly rare amongst refurbished device sellers. People would keep saying how amazingly clean my stuff was in basically every single review. Why did I stop selling on Ebay? I had customers constantly trying to scam me or fraudulently return items. Ebay constantly kept taking their side and even once tried to force me to accept a return after the 10 day return window elapsed that they imposed on me. That forced return was the final straw which caused me to leave. They tried telling me I absolutely must accept it under all circumstances, and kept reiterating that, until I reminded the that it is actually against Australian law to try to force that upon me as it wasn't covered by their contract (10 day windows had expired) and that made the laptop unsolicited mail and thus I wasn't required to pay for it. Hilariously EBay had already paid him for it, and the return was fraudulent as he claimed it was faulty yet the "faults" were non-existent. Ebay legally had to absorb that loss while I got the payment for the device and the device itself. They never attempted to recover it so I could literally sell it again lol.
