- Welcome to another video. In this episode I go through the process of fitting an Elevating roof, glass bonded windows and lining and carpeting on this 2008 Mercedes Vito. This is a part conversion as the owner of the vehicle is converting the inside with the seat bed and furniture at a later date.

Just got in from dinner with the outlaws, sat down at the pc with a coffee and found you in my inbox. Coffee with Dan the man, bliss.👍
Hahaha thank you John, hope you well 👍
Great to see the master craftsman back doing his thing! We have missed those time lapse videos- you know how I like to play them in slow motion!
Hahaha, might do the next video in slow mo 😂😂

Very good job
Lovely fit and finish - great pro job !
Thank you very much and many thanks for watching
I would love to have your knowledge and expertise..I own an old vito and love to convert it
As always Dan and good to see you back, you did mention before the lockdown you would do a video of the new premises plus you said you would briefly tell us why you left the last place, is that still on the cards..?
Hi Mark, we are having a meeting tomorrow about the videos so I will know more then so shouldn't be long until the videos start coming through again. Regarding the reasons to leaving I don't know if putting that into a video is very professional as it won't show my old employers in a good light unfortunately.
Hope you are well and many thanks for watching Mark 👍
@@dantheman321 Look forward to them Dan..👍👍
Nice job looks good 👍
Thank you very much and many thanks for watching 👍
Nice job i did like the L2H2 van you did for the dog show lady, you could have made the toilet into a wet room shower and made the front passenger seat swivel for more lounge area. Looked great though, i have done three conversions now my latest is the ford custom L2H2. Here is my walk round video. Let me know what you think th-cam.com/video/3kKzWwMGhVY/w-d-xo.html
Great work as usual Dan. Going to send you an email... Thanks
Great video Dan, good to see that you are able to go back to work safely, really enjoyed this roof conversion, is there a seal at the bottom of the canvas before it is screwed down to the body from the inside or do you silicon seal it around edge outside afterwards or is it not required?
It is sealed from the outside afterwards but its not a normal silicone I use, its a special seal especially for the job.
Many thanks for watching
Hope you are well
Dan
Are there different ‘off the shelf’ style pop up roofs available for converters? Was thinking of those beds with flexible individual springs/pads and perhaps window panels that open completely?
Another good video and I enjoyed watching 😁
Yes there are many different pop up roofs, many come with different options to choose from as well.
Many thanks for watching
Hi Dan
Great videos on the Vito. Can you tell me what seat base you use and is it M1 tested. Thanks in advance.
Julian
Great video dan, roughly how long did it take you to do the jobs in this video as a whole. 👍🏻
Thank you, it took about a week in total from start to finish.
Many thanks for watching
Manda um desse para o Brasil!!!
Apologies if I've missed this, but where did the front wind deflector pod come from? Custom made? Thanks.
Hi Dan, just got a question for you on sticking the white saniclad type stuff for a bathroom. Is there a better option than sikaflex?? Any help would be much appreciated as always. Thank you
Hi mate cracking job could you give me rough idea of the cost please ? Cheers
Hi a line out which wouldn't include a roof would be £675 plus vat. If you would like more information please email us at info@landseerleisure.com
Many thanks
Is this your new place of work or something your doing yourself
