Mihaly just wanted to fly. That's why he applied to fly for the making of the drones. he used it as an excuse to fly. In the end, he realized that what he did was just a mistake. Because of him, the drones were taking control of the skies. The reason he liked flying, was because of the freedom of flying. He realized he just took away the freedom of the skies, not only to him, but to everyone else. That's why he just decided that being on his bed is his only punishmen

I just beat it. The character and presence of Mister X was very well designed. You can feel this man was indeed a Legendary Ace Pilot while trying to Dogfight with him. The game wouldn't have been as good without him. The second encounter was the hardest for me, I had to shoot him 6 times.
All Mihaly story is a reflect of ace combat player, our will to fly in ace combat at any cost, bringing new war, the envy to play with dumb ai, the moves we do in S rank to ensure missile Hit, the reaction of mihaly when railgun missed is a echo of our when an ennemy flying different than normal. My favorite memory of fighting him for the final time will always be me crashing into him at full speed, wincing thinking I have to start all over, but realizing that he was damaged enough that the game counted me ramming him as the final blow and not killing me in the process. I can't tell you how many emotions I went through during those few seconds of me realizing I beat him by kamikaze.

So only Word of God stating they're different people would make Mihaly and Cipher seperate characters.

Mister X must look to the player how the player looks to a regular in-universe NPC pilot. Yes, the player can do nutty shit, but at the same time, the whole fly straight down, then instantly pull up and fly straight up without bleeding any airspeed in the final battle against him is something I don’t think even the player can do.

You know, I'm pretty sure there's a reason the characters in this game don't move around too much - and why the movements aren't so fluid. I don't think the team can animate people very well - as in every scene, the subject is either sitting down, staying still, or the camera is a close up where they only move their upper body. Animating humans more than likely isn't their forte - which is fine, it's just an observation.
There's fully animated people on the ground in some take off sequences so I don't think it's that. More likely its a callback to how the old AC games mostly relies on still images for theor cutscenes and they wanted to evoke a similar feeling.

Yeah I pretty much get this type of comment a lot. The reason why I used the novice controls first is because this was my first ac game and tbh expert was abit too much for me. However I do use expert controls for my subsequent play throughs of the game.

Man, I miss the DFM mode that they introduced in Assault Horizon. While it was not much of a helper, it had great camera angles. AC7 would have been perfect if it the storyline, replay camera angles & narration style of Ace Combat Zero & the DFM option available.

i made a theory that Mihaly might be Cipher or Mobius 1. i dont know but it feels as if their behaviour and skills are very similar. Even their liveries look similar, except the livery of Mihaly is almost photonegative.

Yeah I pretty much get this type of comment a lot. The reason why I used the novice controls first is because this was my first ac game and tbh expert was abit too much for me. However I do use expert controls for my subsequent play throughs of the game.

Man, I miss the DFM mode that they introduced in Assault Horizon. While it was not much of a helper, it had great camera angles.
AC7 would have been perfect if it the storyline, replay camera angles & narration style of Ace Combat Zero & the DFM option available.
