While I still do love this movie, I wish it had a tone much closer to these trailers, especially the Oppenheimer teaser. Fortunately, it seems like Godzilla Minus One might be the modern Godzilla flick that sticks closer to Gojira in terms of atmosphere and themes so I'm really looking forward to it.
The beginning of the Monsterverse. Absolutely a great movie, but my personal favorite so far in the series is KotM. It's such a fun movie, I can rewatch it numerous times and never get bored by it 😁

Lt. Ford Brody is such an interesting human character in the MonsterVerse. How come we do not see the U.S. Navy EOD specialist and family man recently?
I like him and his family too. I think the reason why we don't see them is because some Godzilla fans didn't like the them, and Michael Dougherty (director and writer of Godzilla 2 King of The Monsters) said Fords story was complete in Godzilla 2014. I'd love to see him and his family again in a future Monsterverse film.
My favorite Monsterverse movies besides Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla vs Kong as both a Godzilla and King Kong fan, I enjoyed King Of The Monsters as a guilty pleasure but the trailer of it was also my personal favorite part about it lol. Can't wait for The New Empire next year :D
Back when we all thought Godzilla was the villian in the movie due to nothing being hinted at about the Mutos or anything... Only that we thought Rodan was in it.
Now, I don't mind what the monsterverse does.....all I ask is somewhere down the line, when they want to end the monsterverse, they MUST make a Godzilla vs Destroyah with a tone as serious, if not more serious than 2014.
That first teaser trailer was on a whole another level, literally gave you horror film vibes and that roar gave the entire fanbase chills.
The whole marketing for Godzilla 2014 was terrific. I still remember when that first teaser leaked online in cam quality.

The trailer at 11:55 is genuinely haunting and is the perfect example of what a tv spot is suppose to be.
This movie was 100% more better than the Roland Emmerich remake. Legendary Pictures do show respect for these famous Japanese movie monsters.
As someone who has a soft spot for Zilla '98, yeah, this is a much better Godzilla adaptation by comparison.
