Really nice and informative video. I am one week from my surgery. I am having the same haze issue. The main thing which is irritating is the light sensitivity, and the glares coming from headlights. At the moment I am not able to drive after evening (when the cars turn on their headlights)

PRK is the worst decision i ever had in my life...now 8 months post operation still have severe dry eyes with change in eyes looks. They became sunken eyes . I notice the size of both eyes became smaller with more decrease in the left one wich it had more laser.
@nyarinyax now much better in the dryness but still there, the vision is good in the right eye and it's bad in the left one it has shadow and minimal double vision, but i see fine with both open, And for eyes appearance it's not like before not anymore, before it looks healthy sharp and attractive. Now unhealthy look with red yellowish colour with black yield but better than 4 months. Still regret for doing it specially it was small correction only -1 power -1 estegmatizm
@@mohammadalotaibi9036 Oh wow. Don’t be too hard on yourself. There’s no way you could have known your eyes would react this way. I’m doing a 1 year review of prk video this week. Is it okay if I share your experience?
Thank you for your video! I will be at 1 month post op in 2 days and my vision this week is actually worse than last week and I am freaking out 😢. The double vision and bluriness is worse than week 3. Did you experience something similar where your recovery was not linear and will fluctuate or even regress? Getting very nervous since 1 month is a long time after surgery 😢
appreciate this video. I watched your previous ones and this one definitely resonated with me. I'm a month in and I feel like my vision is improving, but I've had double vision the entire time that hasn't budged. It's ruining my ability to tell how good my vision is improving. It's hard to explain but things are blurry, but yet i see clear letters or numbers throughout the blur. I can't tell which line is the actual line. I was just curious because I heard you mention some double vision...was yours off and on or did it just kind of go away after a certain time frame? I don't see many people talking about double vision so trying to get some input from anyone that mentions it. I see most of them referring to it as ghosting but I feel like mine doesn't fit the description I read about ghosting. But I definitely could be wrong. Anyhow, thanks again for the video. Put my mind back on track about being patient and letting things heal as they heal. You nailed it on the feeling that I'm not where I should be at this point!
I had crazzyyy double vision. It was only when I had eye drops that it felt like I was actually seeing. I’m not sure how to explain what it felt like, but it was almost like things were passing infront of my eye every few blinks. So like every 4th blink would feel clear, and then I’d have to wait for another clear blink to come. But even when it was blurry, it still felt like I could see. Almost like when you’re standing in the rain and trying to see. As the water gets in your eyes, your vision is fluctuating but you can still see “clearly”. Idk if I’m explaining it well, but it’s like a version of that. If that’s what you’re experiencing, then you’re definitely not alone! I don’t remember exactly when it went away, but I could definitely feel it slowly going away. If I had to guess I’d say around the 3 month mark it was completely gone. But I don’t think mine was as bad as some other experiences I’ve heard Another thing to note is that a lot of my double vision came from my eyes having such big differences in prescription. So it might be a little different than what you’re feeling too Hope this helps! It’ll get better! You’ll be seeing in perfect vision before you know it!
@@tussharagrawal111 It isn't as bad as it was, but I definitely have double vision at distance. Trying to read scores at the bottom of the tv screen can be difficult. I don't think I'm going to get much better. My eye doc put me back on a steroid drop for 2 months. I'm 1 month in. We will see if it does anything soon enough I guess. All in all, i can function fine. I can drive with no problems. I can see most things fine. I'd still do the surgery again if i had the option. My vision doesn't feel as clear as it did when I had contacts, but it's good enough and I'm ok with it at this point.
I had my prk/asa surgery last June 13 2024 since then up to now 1 month later I feel like my right eye was feeling so irritated and pain and feel like my eye vision was back to blurry again. I bit nervous. What I did was put lots of ice pack both eyes and it helps. I will update again soon.
Thank you for making this video and keeping hope alive in so many of us. I am on my week 3 and vision is functional but hazy 😔 still light sensitive , focus issue. No pain no dryness, but blurry vision was making me question lot about the choice i made😅. Thanks once again.
@nyarinyax I'm at the 1.5 month mark after PRK surgery. My right eye is seeing maybe 20/15 and is crispy, but my left eye is blurry long distance, maybe 20/25 or so. Did you experience something like this? If so, how long did it take for both of your eyes to level out?
@@Roswell_84 I experienced the same thing. You have to remember your eyes aren’t connected per se. They’re one organs but are made up of different muscles. So they will do different things Going into the surgery, one eye was already significantly worse than the other, and after the surgery the worse eye took much longer to get better. Even now, my left eye is definitely more clear than my right eye, but it’s not as drastic as the numbers you said. If you put eye drops in your eyes, are they now both the same? Or are they still drastically different? If they are the same then the lesser will probably begin to clear up with time. My eyes didn’t feel “the same” (or close to) until around 4-6 months So I’m not saying they will get to where you’re hoping, but 6 weeks is still pretty early into recovery, so don’t stress too much right now! Hope that helps! Good luck!
@nyarinyax thank you so much for your feedback. I'll definitely keep that in mind as time goes on. Your videos and insight into your procedure helped me on my journey to recovery. Thanks again!
My sensitivity to light went away around day 4-5 after surgery. From that point I could look at any screen for however long with no issues. I’d recommend watching the video before this one. My 3 week review of prk. I go through a lot of questions like yours!
Hi Bro, its been 1 month post trans PRK surgery i have a slight double vision like when i look at phone keyboard its like the keys are wobbling did you ever face such issue
Had my ASA(PRK) surgery 4 weeks ago and as expected it is still blurry. I had heavy screen time and started using after 1w of surgery. Does this slow down the healing process?
Let’s goooo!! 🙌🏾 I appreciate the follow! It’s definitely a hard decision to make. The healing process will be different the older you are, and the adjustment might be harder as well. All things to think about! But the results will still be life changing!
My pain stopped after the first few weeks. If I rub my eye too hard sometimes it really hurts. And if I touch my eye in a specific way sometimes it really hurts. But other than that, I honestly don’t have any pain. With 3 months in I would say you should definitely talk to your doctor about your pain and what you should do. It could be something with your medicine, or maybe something within the surgery process itself that’s causing it! I think patience is important in the recovery journey, but it also doesn’t hurt to ask questions and advice to your doctor
@lavenderlilly7587 According to a recent peer-reviewed journal article, 22% of patients experience occular pain up to 6 months post op. Occular pain is often described as debilitating. Many live with the pain for the remainder of their lives. This risk-reward ratio is pitiful by any measurement. Refractive surgery is a global scandal.
Hi..thanks for the inputs. I had my PRK 2 weeks back and I'm concerned about the dark circles under my eyes which were never there before. Is it because of the eye drops ? Does it heal with time ? Can anyone please share your experience
Hmm dark circles under your eyes? Is this on your skin? Or on your actual eye? Maybe you just had an allergic reaction? Or maybe your skin had been irritated from the drops? I’ve never heard of this side effect before

If you're on the fence don't do it. If you're convinced to do it, don't do it. This guy is fine now. He won't be down the line. Eyes will be prone to dryness for the rest of his life, his prescription will change. Glasses or contacts will come back. All he'll eventually have achieved is having to wear glasses while his cornea has been irrevocably compromised.
@@hepaticapropria Hi there. I gave you the highlights in my comment. I looked into LASIK for myself some time ago and found that this procedure should not be as widespread as it is. It is an incomplete and dangerous solution to the trivial problem of wearing glasses or contacts. I can only encourage you to do your own thorough research before deciding on the procedure. Even then, give yourself six months until the surgery (any laser eye surgery or ICL) so you have time to reconsider. If you have a specific question, I can certainly try to answer it briefly. Best wishes for you.
Thank you so much for the update…i have an appointment tomorrow for transPRK and your video cleared all of my doubts 🤓 i only have one question. Do you have any problems driving at night?
Not anymore! At the beginning it did take some time for my eyes to adjust, and every once in a while, my eyes do feel a little funny for a split second during the night. But overall, the night is almost just like the day time. I definitely prefer to drive in the day light, but I think a big part of that is fear that I might not see as well more than my actual vision limiting me
For me they were on and off. I don’t remember the exact time frame but I know that it depended a lot on my screen time, how dry my eyes were, and how long I had been awake For example: I wouldn’t have halos if I woke up very early and looked at light, but it was almost guaranteed if I was up late and looked at light
@@nyarinyax For me it is just at night when I'm driving. The backlights of the cars drive me crazy. In low light situations its like the eyesight went down to 20/40. I hope it gets bether with time..
@@nyarinyax No astigmatism before surgery. Yes the halos began after the surgery. I have an appoinment in 2 weeks with the eye doctor. I hope there is no problem.
@@UltrAslanAvrupa90 hmm that’s strange. I had halos and stars before surgery so it wasn’t strange seeing them after, but I would definitely ask your doctor during the appointment
Elective surgery is unnecessary risk. Not sure why anyone would risk going legally blind or suffering corneal neuralgia, just to not have to wear glasses or contact lenses? Seems like vanity to play with fire??? 🤔🤔🤔
Just shows that your eye sight is something you’ve never had to worry about. Poor eye sight is a disability. I can’t count how many times I’ve lost my glasses/contacts and could genuinely do nothing until help came. That’s how poor my eyesight was. So for me, this was life changing. For people who haven’t experienced it, it probably feels silly
@@nyarinyax Love that response. People without eyes problems don’t understand the big responsibility and inconvenience at the same time of having to wear pair of plastic on your face everyday. Even in an event of a dangerous situation is very inconvenient being a person who rely on glasses in order to see. I Wish eyes never aged or had any problems at all.

Im on day 15. I never had any pain, but my eyes get really dry and I get bad headaches. Vision is still really blurry.
This video just made me subscribe💪🏽. I have my PRK appointment for Oct 12th & seeing everyone else’s reaction on youtube has me anxious but this video definitely motivated me to actually go through with it.
Glad to hear it helped! You got this! It’ll be life changing for you!
i hope you didn't go through i had PRK two years later i suffer from floaters and VSS
i wish i could go back i will regret it for the rest of my life
@@Josh_Tsu1067
Sorry to hear that!
I did end up getting the PRK surgery done & Fortunately I had no complications with only having dry eyes afterwards.
I did extensive research and picked a surgeon with the most experience to be at ease & I’ve noticed a drastic improvement with my vision now.
@@Jee-zus i m happy for you
i also went to a top suregon
i don't have a problem of dry eyes that much i drink a lot of water and take Omega 3 supplements
and the starburst and halos have significantly improved if i put some eye drops and i dont use them often
but the floaters and VSS is annoying if im stressed or anxious it become worse
still this procedure is playing russian roulette with the eyes so for me the results are not what i hoped for and luckily i didn't have Lasik i decided to opt for the "safer" method
Really nice and informative video. I am one week from my surgery. I am having the same haze issue. The main thing which is irritating is the light sensitivity, and the glares coming from headlights. At the moment I am not able to drive after evening (when the cars turn on their headlights)
video title seems a bit click bait. I did SMILE, no dry eyes or pain, outdoor day/night is perfect, but inside large artificially lit interiors signs look bit blurry
In case blurry vision stay permanent, is it possible to correct it with glassess?. If by chance you have discussed with doctor.
PRK is the worst decision i ever had in my life...now 8 months post operation still have severe dry eyes with change in eyes looks. They became sunken eyes . I notice the size of both eyes became smaller with more decrease in the left one wich it had more laser.
Wow. Thats so scary to read. I’m sorry for your results. How are your eyes now? Any changes?
@@mohammadalotaibi9036heyyy how are u now pls reply ??
Thansk for video
Same I’m going through 3 weeks in vision still hazy but I got a slightly dislocated flap in my left eye. So hopefully my vision still improves
But I don’t think mine was as bad as some other experiences I’ve heard
Another thing to note is that a lot of my double vision came from my eyes having such big differences in prescription. So it might be a little different than what you’re feeling too
Hope this helps!
It’ll get better! You’ll be seeing in perfect vision before you know it!
How is ur vision now
@@tussharagrawal111 It isn't as bad as it was, but I definitely have double vision at distance.
Whats the update please?
Thank you for making this video and keeping hope alive in so many of us. I am on my week 3 and vision is functional but hazy 😔 still light sensitive , focus issue. No pain no dryness, but blurry vision was making me question lot about the choice i made😅. Thanks once again.
Why the video title when you say you would do it again? I guess lasik didn’t actually ruin your life?
This just helped me feel better soo muchh ! Thank u
I’m glad! Hope it all goes well!
So they will do different things
Going into the surgery, one eye was already significantly worse than the other, and after the surgery the worse eye took much longer to get better. Even now, my left eye is definitely more clear than my right eye, but it’s not as drastic as the numbers you said.
If you put eye drops in your eyes, are they now both the same? Or are they still drastically different? If they are the same then the lesser will probably begin to clear up with time. My eyes didn’t feel “the same” (or close to) until around 4-6 months
So I’m not saying they will get to where you’re hoping, but 6 weeks is still pretty early into recovery, so don’t stress too much right now!
Hope that helps! Good luck!
@nyarinyax thank you so much for your feedback. I'll definitely keep that in mind as time goes on. Your videos and insight into your procedure helped me on my journey to recovery. Thanks again!
One question I have is can you use your phone if you turn the brightness way down?
I am the 400th subscriber.🖐 Great content! Thanks so much! I am still scared to do prk or lasik I might be too old I am in my 40s. 😄
Let’s goooo!! 🙌🏾 I appreciate the follow!
It’s definitely a hard decision to make. The healing process will be different the older you are, and the adjustment might be harder as well. All things to think about!
But the results will still be life changing!
@@nyarinyax thanks bro! watching you latest video. Great content!
How are you doing now??? I am suffering from corneal scarring in my right eye unfortunately
Exactly about the contact lense feeling is what am going on. Thank you for the information
For sure! Glad it helped!
Thank you for your story. I'm on day 4. My anxiety is high. But I got this
You got this!!!
Big love brother 🙏
please tell how much time do you face trubbing and cutting pain. mine takes 3 months... and it's still continue
I’ve never heard of this side effect before
How is your vision now
@@Mr_SpideX22 it's not that great as it used to be when I was using spects... especially during the nights.. I'm also getting halos during nights. Personally I don't recommend PRK..if you have no concerns using spectacles.. continue them

I have a 1 year update video on my channel as well!!
You know I had this surgery 10 days ago and I'm almost embarrassed to say that I expected to start seeing perfectly immediately after and I never googled other people's experiences or anything I just hear people all the time saying that it was life changing, but ya I still don't have perfect vision definitely I have some blurriness and haziness and I see better with my left eye but I hope it'll eventually clear up, I don't have any pain though at least that's a good thing.
How are your eyes
whats your power before surgery
If you look at my previous videos (especially the prk video before the surgery) I show my vision and all of that
But I believe I was -6 in one and -4.5 in the other
Heyy i had my surgery on 3rd November..its been almost 6 weeks now ..i left i saw clearer in first 2 weeks but now i feel my vision is lil blurry and sometimes there's discomfort like it's strained or something
Is it because of using too much screen?
N will the blurriness go with time ?
My dr talked about screen time and how big of a difference it would make. But I’m honestly not sure
Does it feel the same now?
Great touch of humour for a grim topic.
Habari yako kutoka Germany na mimi ni mkenya. It is 4 days since i got my Lasik....i feel really confused due to blurr vision....i just want zhis feeling to pass
Habari🙌🏾 karibu sana.
The pain and blurry vision is bad the first few days. But it gets better
The 3 week update video will be the best for you to watch. Hopefully it’ll give you hope to know the feelings will get better haha
It’s not that painful. 3rd day post op now but my eyes r still heavy makes me wanna sleep. Anesthetic eye drops helps a lot.
Why do you say this? I mean, based on what you don’t recommend an eye surgery? You should explain yourself!
Is ICL safer than Lasik?@@RasenRambo23
My ex did like over 8yrs ago and she haven't used glasses or contacts to this day.
Relex Smile is nice
thank you for this video
You’re welcome!
I definitely prefer to drive in the day light, but I think a big part of that is fear that I might not see as well more than my actual vision limiting me
Who was ur suregon?
I think I'll just stick to my contacts lol
Hi, how are you?
How long do you have halos?
I'm in week 7 now but still halos at night.
Sight is between 20/20 & 15/20.
For me they were on and off. I don’t remember the exact time frame but I know that it depended a lot on my screen time, how dry my eyes were, and how long I had been awake
For example: I wouldn’t have halos if I woke up very early and looked at light, but it was almost guaranteed if I was up late and looked at light
@@nyarinyax For me it is just at night when I'm driving. The backlights of the cars drive me crazy. In low light situations its like the eyesight went down to 20/40. I hope it gets bether with time..
@@UltrAslanAvrupa90 ohhh I see. Did you have an astigmatism before surgery? Or did lines/halos only begin post surgery

Cool update
Talk about a click bait title.
It is right, but i cant wear contacts anymore. Cant train or run without problems. Maybe i will do PRK. God Help if i do...
