Dude, you have to get that motor out, rent a lift, use a big tree. It doesn’t matter. Get it out.
The weight of it will warp your hull when you are ready to replace the stringers. Besides having it out will make it so much easier to work.
Also, remove the windshield ASAP it’s easy and gives you better access to your work area.
Good luck man, I restored my 1988 Ski Supreme with no experience and it was super rewarding.
Oh and get a respirator!
