Really nice! My dad has a '79 mk1 scirocco storaged in his garage. I can't wait till he restaurate it so i can drive it when i turn 18 Many respect for you for still having such a nice car!
I watch this often as I'm having a bottom end built up as we speak for my golf 2. 1.8 kr 16v now 1930cc Dta s40 ecu, jenvey 45mm itb's, cat cam springs and retainers, 278 cams, 027 ported and knife edged head, re cut valve seats, je pistons82.5mm , hurricane forged rods, arp 2000 bolts, billet steel crank. All internals balanced. Should rev very well! I've already restored the car it was a 8v running on 2 cylinders. Bare metal then epoxy primer then double primed and Lp7v atles grey metallic. Flat and polished all paint work done by me. I'm a yacht / awlgrip applicator 🤙🤙🏅
I found an '87 1.8 16v for $350! Im really stoked! It needs a new main seal! Other than that, runs good! Only 180k miles! They're getting hard to find here in so cal!
I dont. That was quite a while ago, but the guy still has it. Says it runs but has a blown main seal. :( but im gonna see if I can get it! It would be so epic!
He had a full Powerflow system done with a special heat coating on the branch and I believe its running a Gotech ECU. Get some videos up; would love to see!
That would be great, I have a Mk1 Golf with an ABF on throttle bodies too, must get some vids up when its running properly! What ecu and exhaust are you using?
Gavin Haywood Oh this is great for a lightweight car like the old rocco 1. I remember the time, 25 years ago, 1990 I own a Golf 1 1600 GTI. 110 HP was enough power for 810 kg.
Andreas Koch Yeah I wouldnt want to put more than 190hp through a stock chassis. Even the 150hp I had in my Mk1 Golf was enough. This Rocco was running poly bushes and engine mount inserts. Cant imagine a 1.8T in either of the Mk1's.
Robert Self I dont know the exact year, but I believe it's a pre-1978 model. It had a stainless Powerflow system (single box setup). I think it was a strait 63mm system, or it was 63/76. I think it also had a 4-2-1 branch.
i have a 1986 mk2 scirocco and im wondering what engine swap can i do to it? or would it be better to just keep the stock 16v and just tweak it around ?
A really proper build. Really good audio on this video as well.
Manuel Castillo Thank you. Too many videos fall short with poor audio
Manuel Castillo beautiful
Shame its not original but still v nice speed
sweet car! Love the sound of the engine and exhaust, music to me.

This makes me miss my old Scirocco........... Damn, I need to get one again!
What a Beast! I had an old 1981 Scirocco S with the sport interior and 16V teardrop wheels. Those Porsche wheels look good. Nice Job!!

Wow nice, how many horsepower does it have? And 0-100 in how many seconds?
They are known as Porsche "Tombstones". I'm not quite sure what model Porsche these are from, 944 maybe.
This is beautiful. Carbureted?

What year is that scirocco?
What exhaust do ya have installed?
