That's insane man! I've played through an amp modeller/ multi effects in stereo and it made a huge difference to playing solos especially with delay but never really thought about doing it with my amps .... until now! Absolutely everything I've picked up from watching this channel has been beneficial in my hunt for awesome tone, you should do a series on lead tones man like kirk hammett black album, George lynch Mr Scary, Iron Maiden seventh son of a seventh son album and so on coz there's some really awesome lead tones that have Influenced us as guitarist as much as rythyms have! Thanks for the post man it was awesome as always.
This is awesome. I heard his tone in person for the first time last summer, it ripped my face off. I cant even put into words how huge it sounds. As always, you do a great job dialing these in, thanks man
Miracle man/ fire in the sky was so on point. Had this on in the background genuinely thought you were showing snippets of the song for reference not actually perfecting the tone
If you’ve got two amps and a chorus pedal with two outputs you can do this on a budget and both amps don’t have to be ringers either if you’ve got one that sounds terrific set it a little louder but it’s awesome in the room. I used to do this with a dsl20cr and a rectoverb 20 with a cheap beringer chorus and it was glorious (ask my neighbors) Zakk’s tone on Live and Loud is epic he and John Sykes really did the LP into stereo amps thing so great those tones still sound completely modern and relevant and they are over 30 years old now . Whitesnake 87 and No More Tears still have a modern sound to me I guess because they were 20 years ahead of every album having great big huge guitars on them.
NICE !! I always thought the tone on the Ozzy-Live and Loud live album was epic and you got it here. I remember in a Guitar World article they did the rig rundown and it wasn't anything more complicated that Gtr -> SD-1 -> Boss Chorus pedal into two JCM 800 half stacks. Which is pretty much what your emulating here with the 20ms delay in addition, which makes sense to give it more size as your amps are together going direct not on a big stage mic'ed up.
I see that sv20 in the rig 👀… I think Michael Nielsen said in one of his Zakk videos, that the symphonic setting on the spx90 is like crack, and i think you managed to balance the chorus perfectly here. once again killer job!👍🏼
Oh man, I never thought to try my Black Label chorus in stereo into 2 amps! This weekend just got a lot more fun! Also you are a master at nailing tones man, love your vids
I've been chasing these tones for years, what I've settled on is from my pedalboard going to a Radial JD7 Injector rack unit, and 4 amps running simultaneously lol. A Carvin X-50B with 4x12 cab, Marshall JCM800 4010 combo, Peavey stereo chorus 2x12 and a Peavey Bandit. It's definitely a huge sound, nothing your going to take to a gig, but it sounds amazing, especially with Chorus. I have the yellow MXR stereo chorus you were mentioning, it sounds great, it also runs on 18 volt, has lots of headroom. Zakk was using back on the Pride & Glory album. Love your content, Cheers!
I remember when I met Zakk at a Guitar Center meet and greet back in 2000 (his beard was mere stubble LOL) he had his rig out and he was showing everyone how he got his sound. He had his full rig setup and not 5 feet from me. 2 JCM 800 halfstacks and a small pedal board of SD1, Boss Chorus (not sure which, Super or Ensemble), a Wah, and maybe 1 or 2 others. He was talking about how "Mickey Mouse" his rig was compared to a few others' more sophisticated rigs, but his got the job done. He couldn't have been nicer and more down to Earth. He shook everyone's hand and gave a free autograph if you wanted one. Pictures too, if you brought a camera. This showcase is about as close as I've seen on TH-cam and it's no surprise LambChopper was the one to post it. Zakk's rig is not hard to emulate, but if you're gonna go in the tube amp direction, it's not the cheapest as Les Paul Customs and Marshalls are expensive! Even a more budget rig like this isn't cheap by any means.
Another great video by Lamb chopper thank you so much wish I could try this one out but this one will cost me too much since I just bought the eq4h pro. If ever you can dial in a good time with that one maybe a metallica tone I'd love to see a video on that one
Just what the doctor ordered after seeing Zakk live with Pantera! Noticed he uses the chorus in the loop in a few clips. I think I also spy an origin fx comp in the loop for the Pantera tour, it’s in the rig rundown.
Good job Lamb. The NRFTW SPX Symphonic tone is swirly-er, more ambient and wider, probably as it would have placed post-amp being a rack piece. But dig the NMT tone as well, reckon it's more articulate and in-the-face. You always know it's Zakk whatever he sets up with.
You inspired me to give doubling a go with 2 amps / 2 cabs so I just ordered a mimiq doubler. Can't wait to play with the dang thing! I wonder if I can make it go through my whole pedal board and be able to hear fx on both amps at the same time. Hmmmmm this will take some experimentation and hopefully nothing blows up! :D
awesome video lamb! love the sound, and im trying to capture a similar tone myself. will i be able to do so with two amps, one captor X, and a single marshall 1960b 4x12?
Could you try to do a Vulture (GER) tone match from Dealin’ Death? They’re not like a huge band, but they have great old school tones which would be interesting to hear isolated.
Can you also go over your preference on volume in effects loop vs attenuators? I know you use captor but some of us don’t have that. It is on my list to get. These older amps you have to turn them up for the tone. Like the sc20 you have that around 7.5 pre, and 2 master on 20 watts. That’s loud for bedroom. I put a jhs black box in fx loop but wanted your advice on tone.
Before asking where Ollie and Mango are, they didn't want to film today. They're happy out in the aviary in the garden :)
Holy Shit, you got the SV20. Can you cover Metallica's Kill 'Em All tone with that please?
Agree, After first impressions of the sv20. I can’t wait to see what’s in store with the sv20.
you're like a mad scientist coming up with these tones man; I love it!
That Mr. Tinkertrain intro was simply divine and my ears thank you very much!

No rest for the wicked, No more tears and, Ozzmosis are three of my favourite Ozzy albums.
Saw Ozzy for the second time touring No more tears.
Saw no more tears as well I was blown away by zakks sound and what looked like he never looked down at his guitar for 2 hrs 😂😂🤟🤟🤟
I was just listening to Zakk at the gym today mostly on No More Tears. Loved coming home and seeing this video in my queue! You're in my head, man.
Mr Tinkertrain has the best intro.🤘
This is awesome. I heard his tone in person for the first time last summer, it ripped my face off. I cant even put into words how huge it sounds. As always, you do a great job dialing these in, thanks man
My favourite all time tone...Zakk is a monster. Great job replicating it and as always great playing
Miracle man/ fire in the sky was so on point. Had this on in the background genuinely thought you were showing snippets of the song for reference not actually perfecting the tone
THIS is THE TONE for me and what I'm chasing. I wonder how I can get close to this in my Line 6 POD Go.

Spot on tones as always, but great playing too mate!
Love it!!! Hey is that Studio Vintage new!!!?? Can’t wait to hear classic thrash about of that.!!! Cheers from Kentucky
I see that sv20 in the rig 👀…

once again killer job!👍🏼
Awesome video. No rest for the wicked is so dang good. Miracle man is soooo good.
Pretty epic. Never thought of the chorus before. That did sound very like it
Oh man, I never thought to try my Black Label chorus in stereo into 2 amps! This weekend just got a lot more fun! Also you are a master at nailing tones man, love your vids
Killer job man . Ive had my m2 kraken 4 months awesome little head
Great tones. I just got the Kraken mk2 head like yours....and I already love it so much
Fantastic tones!
Brother Lamb that tone sounds so good on my Cans killer playing as always 🤟🏻
I don’t even listen that much to Zakk’s stuff, but this one is a hell of a crushing tone

Awesome again mate!!!
Brother great job man as always !! keep them coming

That tone is on fire 🔥

Bello/Magnifico.☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️👑
KILLing it man!!!!
just love your tone man!

Great! Epic tone!
New SV20H? I just got one last week also! Fantastic amp!

brilliant chop chop
Sounds good.
awesome video! Does the orange super crush you have in the corner have a similar marshall vibe to it?
Great playing
I recently did this with a SC20 and Friedman PT20. Blissful.
I have an old fender chorus amp with 2 30w power sections and stereo fx loop I'm playing with to try gettn this sound
Super fun 😂🤟🤟🤟
No rest for the wicked is such an amazing album
awesome video lamb! love the sound, and im trying to capture a similar tone myself. will i be able to do so with two amps, one captor X, and a single marshall 1960b 4x12?
I need a ZW Katana pre-set bro!😍
Nice tone!
Wow. That sounds absolutely massive. Katana video coming up trying to capture that? Lol
I have a Peavey JSX and Triple X, I would like to check this out. Thanks Chopper for tge tip.
Could you try to do a Vulture (GER) tone match from Dealin’ Death? They’re not like a huge band, but they have great old school tones which would be interesting to hear isolated.
Man that is some killer tone!!! Can you replicate this on amplitude tonex if that’s all that you have? I love your channel and Howdy from Texas!
My favorite tone ia distorted stereo or wet wet dry wet rigs. Pitch shifts and chorus so full sounding.
I was waiting for some No More Tears riffs
Can you also go over your preference on volume in effects loop vs attenuators? I know you use captor but some of us don’t have that. It is on my list to get. Nice and greasy! The SPX90 definitely has it's own thing going on but it's a PITA to use in a traditional guitar rig.
Whats up bro!! I dig the tone!! Doesn’t the chorus get muddy when running in the front end instead in the EFX loop?? Thanks and cheers from Brazil!
Looks like you recently acquired the Marshall sv20h as well 👀
Are you into Alice In Chains? Would love to hear some Jerry Cantrell tones, mate
Hey brother, you should check out the TC Electronics Mimiq pedal (it does the stereo delay thing that you’re doing with the plugin)…
Awesome tone!
Are you still thinkin in getting the Jubilee?
Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
Yeah, taking the girls down to Melbourne to see Iron Maiden set me back a little.
New amp 👀
Would actually love to be in the room for this, 🔊 🔊
Between Evh 5150 50 watt and victory kraken 50 watt if you can choose one amp which one you choose ?
You should hire yourself out Lamb as a tone consultant. Your ear and skill is priceless.
Is that a new marshall head?
the chorus settings is what zakk potentially had on or is because of the two amp set up ?
It behaves totally different in a stereo setup. It sounds much better than a mono rig
🤘😎🤘
Did you see Zakk at Knotfest my god
what kind of guitar is that?
🙂🙂🙂😀
Got shoes on mate… must’ve dropped under 30 there…
this gives me a chubby
