Just got word that my Apocalypse: Pestilence 5.56 finally shipped (been about a year long wait). I look forward to experiencing this new trigger as I was informed it is installed as well as Meridian’s new AK grip.
Bought my alg ultimate for 80 bucks from brownells like 3 months ago ish. They had em for 140 and I was contemplating. Then they went on sale for 79.99. So I had to order it up ASAP. Works phenomenal!
I Ike the flat ALG (sister company to Geisselle) I’m not afraid to modernize. Also in the camp of, you do you, whatever keep it all classic looking-cool. Let’s all keep improving.
I don't have enough money to shoot that fast. My experience in Desert Storm is semi auto forces you to make high percentage shots and there's less need to carry 2500 rounds on your web gear. I'm not talking about special squads in remote missions but your average firefight is better fought with single fire / 3 round burst. That being said, we always had a belt fired machine gun to defend our position or to change our position. Believe it or not some of us were still issued the M-60 in Desert Storm and it is a sweet weapon just a little bit heavy.
Agreed. I'm not into mag dumps. Expensive and they put more stress on the barrel. Plus accuracy suffers when you're firing that fast. I get full auto when you're in a war but like you said, a real combat unit will have a belt fed, full auto weapon on a bipod. That will be mostly for suppressive fire anyway. Semi auto gets the real work done in most cases.
Geisselle and cmc has a mega light trigger for the ak. Lightest on the market. 2nd place is hiperfire and alg, but hiperfire needs a new safety to function
Geissele AR triggers can be light as all hell......nobody says those are "DANGEROUS" 1911 Fudds ( which I my qualify) are always looking for that one pound trigger( for compitition)
I can see why people love hair triggers between 1-3lbs though me personally, I like a crisp trigger around 5lbs. I'll take a crisp 5lb pull with a wall over a rolling 1-3lb trigger
@@SchwererGustavThe800mm I like the Geissele S3G; no wall,no break....just pull and fall off the wall. 3.5 lbs( although it comes with a 2.5lb spring which I don't care for) The reset is almost forced. I also have the Geissele single action( can't recall it's designation, as I bought it used)
Got my alg a long time ago. Everyone who shoots my ak loves the trigger. I’ve converted many an ak hater with that gun. I had a ul and went back to an el because the ul was a little lighter than I liked in feel. I don’t like a heavy trigger but I do like to know it’s there to some degree. The UL I almost couldn’t feel it was so slick. Very nice triggers. Need a few more and haven’t been digging the price going up. Wonder what this meridian one will cost. Good review as always klay.

So is the B.A.D. AK Trigger the only one that doesn’t have a flat hump? Looks classy, I’ll probably end up getting one of these Meridians when they’re available.
I've got ALG's in three of my four AK's. The fourth is a Polish Tantal that I'm not really sure what to do with the safety because of course the Polish just had to make it weird.
I noticed you shoot the steel plates with 223/556, Do you get small divots/pits? And does it even matter? Because i just got some 1/2 ar 500 plates, and i went and shot em with my 223 saiga with some old cheap steel tulammo 223 at like 50ish yards, and noticed the divots, as im new to steel plates my question is, is it just the angle of the target that makes the divots and splash not matter? Or should i be using not as hot ammo? Should i not be getting the divots or what? Thanks
I have a FEG AMD-65 I just bought. One of the actual FEG ones. The tapco fcg appears to have been deforming the tail on the bolt carrier. What aftermarket fcg's would anyone recommend that aren't known to do this? Are ALG hammers softer than tapcos?

I figured you’d be the best person to ask. I’m looking to get a new pistol grip for my akv9. I want one that has less of an angle than most ak grips. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks in advance. Love the content as always.
On my ALG trigger the disconnect spring do I want it to be strong or weak which would be better I know it's an odd question which would be better a harder reset or a lighter reset for a faster trigger pull or would it even matter

I just installed the CMC Yella Jacket in my one and its mind blowingly crazy trigger. But also running the DPM recoil guide system in mine.
How is the DPM recoil system for AK? Was thinking of getting either KNS or the DPM.
Had no idea meridian defense was releasing an Ak trigger.

Glad to see a better looking performance trigger since everything else I own has curved triggers.
The gold standard, for me, for AK triggers is the Timney AK trigger.
