My daughter Carla born and raised in NE Ohio loved the Hispanic culture, she took Spanish in highschool and it changed her life! Her Spanish teacher said she could have taught the class she took to it so fast, she passed away at 21 yrs old in a fatal car accident and her Hispanic friends could not believe she was “white” lol 😊I know she would have loved your Videos!
Lalo......I think it makes good business sense to buy the cement mixer as you can use it to work outside of your home in the future for extra income. The new welder will help with future income as well. I hope you make ornate ironwork on windows and doors!!! I love it
Hola! I am the most confused Gringa you could ever meet. I was born in Germany. My mother was a German citizen and my Father US military. My DNA ancestry says I am 24% Indigenous American probably from the area around Jalisco to Guanjuato. I was adopted at 4wks so was not raised with either a German or Mexican culture. I am enjoying watching!! Are you not smack dab in the middle of the area of my ancestors? I love this channel!
Yes pretty close I am in Jalisco near Ocotlan. Wow you have a really unique story. I would love to know more. You can send me a message on Instagram. I have a friend who was adopted from South America and now he is older, and he wants to travel back to his home country. His family who adopted him never taught him about his culture and when he graduated high school, he found his birth mother! I told him if I can go to Mexico he can. He doesn't speak Spanish, so he was worried, and I try to pray for him whenever I think about it. I hope he has the courage to go one day.
Buenas Noches desde Texas!! (I think I said that right. 😂) I just want to start off by saying OMG! I came across your TH-cam channel and I’ve literally watched nothing but you and your family for the past week. I relate to you so much! I myself am a redheaded “Irishican” (Irish/Mexican) and I feel like I could so easily and happily be in your shoes. My family name is OCHOA who are from the Jalisco area and my Mom’s family is Rubalcaba. However I’m over here rocking the red hair like you and trying to roll my “r’s” with my Hispanic side of my family. 😂 You lady are the SWEETEST, most beautiful person! You are such a wonderful Mama which reflects in how amazing your children are. I love watching the kids in the Rancho and walking to the Plaza and LOVING all the salsa! 😂 Please keep putting out content, they’re such wholesome, beautiful stories of your life and how wonderful it truly can be if we let it. Thank You Erin for being you! Amethyst Ochoa McCarty ☘️
Hello Erin and family, hope you all are doing well. I love you watching you. I have one question. Where can I find a mop like the one you mop with. I loved it. Hope to hear from you soon. Have a blessed day.🙏
I live in Michigan, I have lived in many other states . My grandson is half Mexican. Our family traveled the fairs with his father. Long before my grandson I have always wanted to move to Mexico . I love the weather, the fresh living , the beautiful scenery ! Your channel inspires me !
I was so impressed by the kids gratitude in getting one toy during trip to Sam’s club. Don’t see that here in the states. And Christian’s is such a sweet son. kids are a true reflection of the parents, keep up the good work both of you !
Life in Mexico is simple not fake pretty much is the way you summit up.. Thinking of doing the summer over there maybe that’s a start why complicate my life🙊🙊🙊
You might find gold coins when you start digging, in Zacatecas the Cristero war was big , next to Jalisco , my kids greatgrand mother on their dad's side would tell stories , she was taken by her husband at 15:, fled the ranch & hid to save there lives, there was no freedom to worship in the Catholic Church , she lived to be 100 😇
Interesante.
I’m in California and we say “undocumented immigrant” - it is less stigmatizing than illegal alien 😮 Nowadays here in Cali they are eligible for drivers licenses (AB 60 law) and healthcare- thank goodness! I feel bad for Lalo’s experience.
You just soak those coins into dishwash soap or detergent for about an hour or two and they'll get clean and shiny enough for figuring out the details.
Hi, I'm watching the replay and, over the years, I've come to see Mexico as similar to how the U.S. was 50 years ago-safer and more authentic. I'm a gringa from Iowa, and I plan to retire in Mexico, hopefully moving sooner while working remotely. I fell in love with the country during a visit to a small town in Campeche years ago with my ex-husband. I even tried to convince him to move there, but he wasn't on board. Now, as a strong, independent woman, there's no one to tell me no!" 🥳 Thank you for sharing your lives with us, I enjoy watching your videos and can't wait to be able to come purchase some of your goat cheese 🥰
Hi Erin and hi to my cousin Lalo, all the family. Thank you for all your videos. Love watching you guys and the kids .Thank you for sharing about the story about the rancho. But more important about my grandparents. May God continue to bless you guys. Sending hugs.❤
I just saw this and I am reminded of you and your story. "Educate your children to be happy and they learn to be happy with what they have and not rely on riches to be happy." You are doing just that. You are beautiful inside and out. May your dreams come true. Blessings.
My wife and I love watching your show. We’re from Del Rio Texas , we’re both American citizens however our ancestors were from Mexico. You and your husband have an amazing family and an amazing life and I applaud you for going to live in Mexico. Hope to stay in touch with you guys. Keep up the great job!!! Ruben Luna
My husband is from Mexico and I’m from South America, lived in the states for 34 years. Never had an American friend or good neighbor. We live in Mexico now (we spend 4 months here and 3 over there, because we have kids and grandkids)took us 13 years to build our home, poquito a poquito, cash*. I’ve in Mexico for 4 months and I’ve already made friends even though I don’t speak a lot of Spanish. The food is fresh and is cheap living here.
Love your blog, when you say you guys still have struggles, my parents tought me and my 8 siblings, there will always be struggles in life, we just have to make the best of it and always be positive and never give up.
I really truly enjoyed your video. You have a beautiful family and a blessed life. I am from soth texas and am hispanic , Erin, you speak great spanish. God bless you and your family.
Hi and good question. For our situation and its a bit different for everyone but we had to save first to pay all the fees for him to become a resident and once that was approved about two years after starting the process then You need to me a resident for a few years before you qualify for citizenship and that also cost money that needs to be saved for.
You don't think about tacos all the time??? I do! I'm Mexican American from Los Angeles living in Scotland. It's a lot of work to get my taco on living here. But I do it. I always bring back a huge haul from the states whenever I go. I have a pretty well stocked Mexican pantry here, but, the next time I can just go out for a real taco where someone else is making it, hopefully in Mexico... that will be a day I may actually cry over a taco. I've still never been to Mexico but my heart strings are being pulled hard with a strong longing for this country of my heritage, that I've yet to visit. Your vlog is really making me want to go there now and meet my family. I've lived in many countries. Can't believe I haven't been to Mexico yet. I think I'm going to start planning something for next year. Thanks for sharing your story, my Mexican mommy would have loved you for loving Mexico! :)
Oh wow if you do come to Mexico and I believe you will please let me know your experience. I bet you are going to to love it all. I felt that pull and I'm not even Hispanic but when God has a will you feel it. If you visit close to the rancho you will need to come and try the tacos here! I wake up every day a thinking I can't believe God gave this for me and my family to enjoy. Knowing it brings other joy and hope as well is the biggest blessing. Also How wonderful you get to live in Scotland. Thats amazing. have a blessed day.
Stay safe over there some parts of Mexico theirs cartels lots of people that was here in the states and they got killed theirs a lady from California and she's still missing very sad😢
To make homemade Tomato soup is so easy same with broccoli soup So just roast your tomatoes 🍅 add basil 🌿 and some heavy cream blend and simmer. For broccoli soup steam broccoli 🥦 then add water or heavy cream immersion blend and simmer ! Both the best soups ever , can soup is not even anything close to fresh soup !
Sooooo excited to watch you build your house. Also can't wait to see the treasures you find. I wish for a slower, more simple life and am so happy your family has found that!
