Thanks for doing such an extensive cross-compatibility test! I really like this format of a concise review of the set alone, and then some extra videos for more insight. It seems that most of the trucks here are actually at the same scale, except the car transporter maybe. If the tow truck were only two studs wider, it would fit in better between them.
It is so cool that the proportions of the service truck mimic real world physics. When you see a tall truck uprighted in a recovery they always shift back and forth along the length like you see in this video.
I've been waiting for this video for a long time, it's cool to see the tow truck in action and explore all of its play possibilities. Great to see that a simple pin swap will allow the tow truck to tow many more vehicles, including the concrete mixer truck I have, more easily. :)
The service truck can be modified to have the grids pivot. Think the lifting boom can be extended slightly on the new truck and in some cases its standard practise to lift on the chassis rails.
My recommendation for flipping something lightly is hook one line up top and the other run through a pulley and to the top, I’ll put a guide on my channel when I get it
Hi, Want to add that according to the right position of the double winches is top around the wheels at the end of boom, not under. To see the proper position of those check with the official box pictures. I think in this case piece wouldn't fall off and towing is much easier because wheel used as a block. Hope this helps.
I'm a little late so idk how many older sets have been retired but I just got the towtruck and I'm trying to find some cars that I could use on it. I have a few but they don't work very well. You have quite the collection so I'm looking for some advice on some cars I could use on it
Would a comparison picture with Mercedes Arocs 42043 be posted on eurobricks pls ? To see a bit how big is the difference between the 2 sets - and also if this one could be improved to match 42043 scale. Thanks
What happened to the side mirrors on the mack truck? Have you developed a design for side mirrors for the concrete mixer truck? I'm shocked they forgot to add those before releasing it to the public. That's always been a feature on all past lego technic trucks. I appreciate the cross compatibility test, and the longer pieces to attach for towing makes much more sense. Looking forward to getting this set when it becomes available in the USA on August 1st.
Yes thank you I found them, you could see them being used in my review video if you watched it carefully :) But that low angle does not help here, the winches simply pull the truck on the ground instead of turning it.
I know that these heavy-duty tow trucks are meant to pull and recuse semis, and big trucks, but they still can pull small commercial vehicles, would the Top Gear Rally car fit?
Balázs, a szakáll végleges? Gondold át, szerintem öregít és nem áll jól. Ezt a tow-truckot biztosan beszerzem majd. Meghoztad a kedvem hozzá a videóiddal. Thanks
Mack Truck still looks so good, They did an incredible job on that one

The 42128 is awesome, it got me back into Lego after an impulse purchase in a traditional toy shop I went in for nostalgia reasons after 30+ years.

Its cool that you make additional content bsides review really like to watch them :) maybe some room tour with all your collection next?
Great comparison video. I love these Technic rescue trucks, and most of them are pretty close in scale. I think I need this truck now.
Slow motion is satisfying
Great video. Really awesome to see many trucks sizes from Lego
I bet it would look great next to the 9397 logging truck!
4:49 Perfect fit! Now I need the tow truck!
What are the orange Cars at 1:54?

You definitely covered all possible ridiculous request.😁
great collection. Big LEGO fan!!!
Just bought this and the mack truck, cant wait to get them together.

what about the 42068 fire rescue truck?
That Truck reminds me the best 8285 set from 2006 😍

It'll be comedy gold for the big rig tow truck to tow the monster jam sets around
This set looks awesome I love the tow challenge
Can the LEGO Technic Heavy-Duty Tow Truck rescue the LEGO Technic Benz Zetros?
Yay great video man
You should try the b model of the Mack anthem
Szuper sziasztok!

Mack lost a lots of parts... I bought it used and it is a beaten up truck ready to be rescued
Can we get a tour of all the Lego on your shelves
I'd like to see that racing truck mod! Nice vid!
These cars are incredible
Hold on... why is the orange porsche bag in the sian
The Lambo is the daily driver but the guy prefers the orange bag...
bro you should have 1 million subscribers
I have the tow truck on display pulling the B model of the Corvette which is a old school hot rod
There are two pulley wheels on the lower arm, they should be used for guiding both ropes while pulling the 42008 ;)
Yes thank you I found them, you could see them being used in my review video if you watched it carefully :) But that low angle does not help here, the winches simply pull the truck on the ground instead of turning it.

Very different scale
Shouldn't the crane 'chains' go over the wheels at the end of the arm?
Cheers for the vid
IKR?! I got so triggered over that but managed.
1:18 Lego Technic Heavy Duty Tow Truck pulling Lego Technic Mack Anthem.
Thanks for the ending!
🤣🤣🤣 good laughs
How does it compare with the LEGO 8285, as far as scale, but also functionalities?
hi im from polen jak wyglada to z mclarenem
8109 Flatbed Truck - the set I don't have, but badly want it)
The B models of the Mack Truck and of the car transporter truck could be great to see
Try towing a Volvo hauler and the libherer
And maybe the UCS Falcon as well?
@@RacingBrick Or the 4x4 extreme offroader
@RacingBrick did you ever make a video on the 42041 racing truck?
Trucks are rarely towed with cargo on them (cars)
8041 is the same scale as 8285 and it tows it well.
I say get the same tow truck and see if it can haul its self. That would be a challenge!
try the land rover defender as they always break down and they weight as much as a house
Try the concrete mixer on the bumper
the truck is awesome i just wish it had pneumatic outriggers and motorized pump upgradability, i would like to get it nevertheless
Man, those sets are amazing!! I have a question, the spoiler for the race truck comes with the set?
No, that one was modified by me
What about the McLaren and the Corvette?
And the jeep wrangler too
The tow truck is a kenworth or Peter built from 1970
I really dig the sheriff monster track on your shelf! Is that Lego?
It's a modification of the set 42099 - th-cam.com/video/26q4pPEk0NI/w-d-xo.html
@@RacingBrick Thanks a lot!
Would have a target to be towed (Bus, Tiny House, Aeroplane, etc).
hi, quick question 42128 or 42008?
I think the lego 42070 can be a good
candidate for the 42128
The "4108" truck is actually 8109... Weird error
Try with the mercedes off road truk
Thats too big
42093 and 42123 are at the correct sacale?
sorta but I don't know why you ever would put it on the car transporter other then for storage
Because people always ask what fits on the car transporter, regardless if it is supposed to fit on it :)
2017 6x6 tow truck
I prefer 8285 please make reviews if you have it
Didn't do the 4825 Technic tow truck?
No
I like them, very cool. look like transformers!
It fits on the Car Transporter, ergo it must be good. :)
Is there a video coming for a fix for the 42128??
What needs to be fixed there?
@@RacingBrick the side outriggers?
As a play feature they work ok so I'm not planning a mod for these.
@@RacingBrick alright
I know it's prettie of scale, but could you try the arocs? Nice Video
Arocs is totally out of scale, as I mentioned in the video I did not try those
42075 seems to be the same scale
Possibly, sadly I don't have that one assembled
Balázs, a szakáll végleges? Gondold át, szerintem öregít és nem áll jól. Ezt a tow-truckot biztosan beszerzem majd. Meghoztad a kedvem hozzá a videóiddal. Thanks
A szakáll jön-megy, ahogy éppen kedve tartja :)
@@RacingBrick :D
I like to see it rescuing the 42009
Move with race truck totally needed !!!!!! HOT !!!!!
Volvo articulated hauler on the tow truck?
I dont think it cant,if you looks carefully all trucks here are about similar scale
@@zaxisontherun The 42114 is the same scale, it's just that the A60H in real life is massive, so they had to make the lego set the same way.
Why don't you have 8285 lined up with these??
Maybe because I don't own all sets ever released?
Not 4108 its 8109 on 2:47
Maybe the 42068 but it's not the same scale... 😅
Try towing the car transporter b model
The scale is more off than the car transporter
Oh ok
Does 42093 work?
Why is the racing truck there?🤔
Because I have it and the scale was not *very* off so I decided to give it a try
Love it!! Fits perfectly on the transporter, "If its on, its gone"!!! 🚛💨💨💨
Do the B model for 42098
Please!?
Try the ford mustang I know it's not technic but I think it would work
way too big
Can it tow the lego technic volvo
Its to big
Can the tow truck tow Lego 42110?
It can tow pretty much anything, but the Defender is totally out of scale
Does it work with doms charger?
It works with almost everything but the Charger has a very different scale
@@RacingBrick ok
I have 42133 tow truck
U are hungarian ?
I think The jeep wrangler is good to tow
4:50 Doesn't have to fit great, just has to fit.
Balázs....sounds familiar......you are Hungarian?
Meglepő fordulat :)
@@RacingBrick 😀
@@RacingBrick Bruh
